THANK-YOU so much for this video and the recipe. I saw your promotion of this video on the English American Aebleskiver Demo video. I first saw your Swahili Recipe of a different round treat and was disappointed that the recipe wasn't in English. This video is lovely, well explained and my family will enjoy the flavors. We live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, which is tropical. We use coconut milk and basmati rice, so I'm certain my family will enjoy this treat. Thank-you again for a lovely video.
Hi everyone, thanks from stopping by. I just want to clear up a mistake I made in my voice-over that I didn’t notice while editing. When I went into the blender with a spoon to show you the consistency at 03:51, I said it was after 3 hours. This was actually after 2.5 hours, hope that clears up the confusion.
Thanks. I love your instructions. You are so concise and thoughtful. You leave nothing confusing to chance. I made best ones first time using your instructions and I’m far from being a descent cook🤣
I've been looking for recipes on how to make instant vitumbuas glad I found your videos .... off with the old n in with the new advancements ....thanks shall try this today
I’ve actually read somewhere that you can make them instantly by using rice flour. I’m yet to try that personally but I don’t see why it shouldn’t work.
Hi I loved you video and good recipe . Can we use rice flour instead of rice and what would the measurement of rice flour to follow this recipe . Thanks
Hey, thanks for stopping by, I’m glad you loved the video. I’ve never used rice flour for vitumbua before although I have seen a YT video with a recipe that uses it. I’m not sure the outcome would be the same but I’d love to know how it turns when you get a chance to try it.
I’m afraid I don’t know, sorry. Let me know if you’re interested though as I may be getting some soon, baring in mind, you’ll also have to pay shipping costs to wherever you are.
If you're in London, it wouldn't be too much because that's where they'll be shipped from if i can get them at a cheap price. Cannot confirm the price right now as I'm still in the process. Will let you know ASAP!

Hi, Is vitumbua supposed to be wet inside. I left it on the stove for a long time but it was kind of sticky afterwards. I don't know if I an doing something wrong. Please advice
It’s not supposed to be wet inside. You may have got something wrong. Maybe it’s your heat. I switch between low-medium level but mostly low. Or you may have made it too watery. Hope that helps
it depends on how big they are. If they are big like mine, then approximately ten minutes, I’ve never times it though. And really don’t follow time, because it depends on the heat you are using. So best way is to make sure it’s low to medium, and check with a stick by inserting it all the way in, and it should be like how mine comes out in the video @12:17 if you’ve followed my recipe.

Hi, thank you for your comments. These moulds are hard to come by now. The person that used to supply me with them doesn’t seem to have the size that I have.
@@SwahiliSpicE thank you for your reply. I gave the small ones which make 7. That's no fun for vitumbuaz. The big one is really nice. IA. Kheyr. Thank you again.
Very well ldemonstrated.
This is the best explained video for vitumbua.. I must try out here in Kenya.

@@SwahiliSpicE thanks. On average roughly, how long should each batch take? Thanks in advance

Just to be clear, there is no banana in this recipe
Hi the lady who sells them has gone😟
Oh no! This sepcific pan is really hard to come by these days
I feel like;
1, you are slow
2, you talk too much
Hence wasting alot of time and data
@Real Reen I really appreciated all of the details. Perhaps you just need to look at the recipe which this RUclipsr generously shared?
