- Project Zomboid is the best survival game ever made. It has incredible levels of depth that led to this video taking a month to make and I clocked nearly 60 hours in my time playing the new build 41 update. This is my project zomboid review. And if you're wondering is project zomboid worth it? This video will also answer that question.
At it's core project zomboid is a hardcore sandbox zombie survival game with a unique graphical style that allows it to have many more gameplay elements that regular survival games like Rust, 7 Days to Die or The Forest are unable to have.
And if it wasn't already packed with enough features now they've released the Build 41 update that added project zomboid multiplayer, massive graphics overhauls to make the game look much better, more weapons, and even an end-game city called louisville.
Project Zomboid mods are another huge part about this game because of how many there are and how much they add. Of course the meme ones are the most fun, but all of them are cool and exciting in their own right.
So sit back, relax and enjoy this Project Zomboid gameplay and review! This one took awhile but it might be the best video made so far so I hope you enjoy it.

"guns are useless airhorns" is a vibe I felt when I found my first gun. I later realized the weapon outline was disabled for some reason and did a gun build and ruled a server with my friends.
Guns are overpowered when used right

I really want to do a run where the number of zombies is limited, and once all or at least like 95% of them are dead and I just can't find any more, I'd consider that run "won".

Project Zomboid is hands down one of my favorite games. It truly appeals to the masochist inside of me.
It is cool, but I miss Till Death Us Do Part story, still no info. I started thinking of just making my own story based game like this, maybe even adding some Fallout 1 vibes to it

Project Zomboid is the reality check we all need to realise how fucked we would actually be in the Zombie Apocalypse.
Actually it made me realize that a zombie apocalypse would not work seeing as I'm one person who can easily kill an entire town worth of zombies (in game with guns)
I roleplayed as myself with my first character, and I realized how much of an extra I would be if I'm in a Zombie movie.

I've been playing Zomboid since 2014, I cannot believe it has grown this large. People don't know the pain of no cars being in the game and you having to run for 5 straight days to get to the next town. High quality video.

I've played this game for far longer than most of you guys (not trying to brag, really. Most players came after the MP update) and I see nothing wrong with his comment. CDDA exists and certainly beats zomboid in some aspects.

The addiction part is true. I remember me and my friend playing this game for 14 hours straight without any stop without drinking even 1 sip of water or without eating even 1 snack. I wish we had that much free time now

(4:11) You know what? That would be a great suggestion for the developers. Having houses with alarms, have an ADT sign in the front yard. Not all of them, granted. But some. As the little sign can either degrade over time, or some of the signs were pulled out the ground..
And then having some of those houses with signs in front not even have alarms, just like irl. This is a great idea for the game!

9:35 In fact, I'm familiar with it. My friend and I once survived in Louisville, and decided to settle in a bar. Everything was perfect until the horde decided to come from a covered garage in the same block. It all started with the fact that a friend managed to alarm them with a pistol shot, and I had to defend the building with a shotgun. Zombies started attacking me from behind. I climbed over the fence in time, and saw about 200 zombies coming to our base. I do not know how I was able to escape from there, considering that I was surrounded, the back exit was surrounded, and the main entrance was attacked by another horde. I was able to get into the building, and we had to prepare the defense, because it was already impossible to escape. I've dealt with such hordes alone before, but the conditions were simpler. My friend and I had each other's backs until he missed one zombie that bit me from behind, which allowed the others to attack from the front. It was too cool, even though we lost

A combat based build is pretty much the only type of character I play other than a cowardly burglar.

Don't worry the game is great I played it. But it's a little hard since you will lose alot of characters when you first start playing. And a pro tip: Don't spawn in West Point if you want to survive more than a week, and don't use guns unless your character knows how to aim.

@@Delta-007 To add to that. To train aiming, use shot gun on groups of zombies. Currently only the best way to make non gun oriented characters become better with guns.

Zomboid truly is that good. You can RNG into being safe for MONTHS out of spawn. Your home has seeds, cans of food, books and your neighbors *had* a generator. Or every run starts you with maybe 5mins before you're about to start another game...

pistols and rifles are best usable after level 3.
The M36 is usable but not very powerful. I went through 300 rounds I'm at level 1 aiming and 3 reload. LUL!
Try CDDA. Many of the concepts, mechanics, and even scenarios from Cataclysm were transfered into PZ

Smoker, high thirst, slow reader (if youre on solo cause you can speed up time) to name a few are all great negative trait choices. Some of my other go-to's are overweight or out of shape. All these traits can be easily dealt w but overweight and such will take a lil bit of work

You can also make multiple living characters in the same world, only one can be loaded at once. Make a burglar to hot wire a bunch of cars and then switch to a different character to build stuff.
