They don't cast the same people for more than one role. You may not see Adam's face, but you should look again and you'll see that the actors who play Adam and Egon don't even have the same build. Their voices are also different, even though they are both deep. Adam is played by Dietrich Hollinderbäumer. Old Egon is played by Christian Pätzold.
I never saw any resemblance and never thought of Egon as a possible Adam. But now they shared their theory, I do see a resemblance between the 2 actors! Still, there are enough differences tho...
Yeah... not sure what our hot and cold dragons were talking about at 5:49. Originally I also did not see a resemblance but given how Hollinderbäumer is playing this old man differently from his other roles I do at least hear a resemblance in his speech patterns that does not only reflect Jonas but also reminds me of Egon's deliberate enunciation. Although I guess that is the old timey vibe Jonas picked up in that century. If you think about it Egon was officially born in 1922; only a year after the Sic Mundus events we see here. spoilers no seriously spoilers and we know that there is a reason why Egon and Jonas can look alike. After all Egon is Jonas' great-great-great-great-grandfather... do not read the comment from the bottom up unless you want the spoilers in the last paragraph
Easily the best tv show all time. I’ve seen many shows like breaking bad, game of thrones, etc. But there is something about this show that just HITS. It’s DIFFERENT and every single episode surprised me and left me with goosebumps. It’s hard for me to imagine a tv series surpassing dark and its greatness.
Ahhh yeah let's get it, next ep is probably my series fave But hold onto your theories because you will be surprised at what you are close to and even more surprised at how far away you are
Yes, teen Jonas knew that Hannah and Ulrich were having an affair. Remember that he told Ines "My grandfather, who is f*cking my mother, is looking for his son, who is my father" or however he put it?
But how did he know tho? Hannah and Ulrich were so carefull (haha, wink wink) in episode 1 season 1. Ulrich even left the house through the window/rainpipe, that is not obvious at all right? 😇
The final three episodes of this season are all among my favorites. Looking forward to the next few reactions! Makes me remember of the days when I was the one making questions about Wöller's eye...
Can you imagine from the cops perspective, Ulrich points to random kids on the street, "Those are my children" and I need to take them to the cave to save them. The poor guy is being pounded into the ground neck deep.
you've probably watched Ep 6 by now, but honestly, that's probably my personal favorite of the whole series...faint praise though, as its a diamond amongst a ton of gems.
@@connectingthedots100 Dammnnnn... That's a good way to look at it. Y'know now that I think about it dark might be one of the most serialised shows ever due to being about time travel lol. The entire thing melds together.
I always feel so bad for Ulrich. First fails to run away with Mikkel, taking him back home (timeline). Then sees all his other children in a matter of minutes, after being in hell for 34 years. And all the cops can think is: This man is a true confused psycho, claiming all children he sees are his and trying to kill/obduct them.
Also, we have already been told before that H. G. Tannhaus wasn't Charlotte's actual grandfather. Maybe it got lost in the larger questions being tackled, like other smaller pieces of information. Anyway, still have to give you props for being among the sharpest reactors I've followed. Keep up the good work and strap in, for the ride will get even bumpier!
I think it is in the first episode of this season, right? When Clausen and Charlotte talk before they go to Regina. She literally says "Er ist nicht mein richtiger Großvater" and I am sure that it is in that dialogue... shortly after Clausen weirdly assumes that he is still alive or something.
@@ludenunes6606 I should have watched this reaction before I commented because that quote is right here around 15:55. So I think she did not talk about that before. But I mean... it is logical since she said on the telephone to Peter "Warum hat er mir nie gesagt, wer wirklich meine Eltern sind?" If he was her grandfather, one of her parents would be his child. So what else should we take away from that but that none of her parents is his child.
hearing your theories and seeing your reactions is seriously so much fun. it feels like watching the show all over again, so thank you :) the last few episodes of this season are insane !! prepare yourselves
Lil analysis of Adam's lines: The first life ends with the loss of niavety. This is when you discover the truth, time travel is real, and you are changed forever. The second ends with the loss of innocence. This is when you get blood on your hands. When you try to change the course of time but realise it is you who ends up changed as you begin to begin on one of two paths, desperation or hopelessness. The third ends with the loss of life itself. This is when you are completely consumed by your journey through time. Perhaps not living does not even mean death. Perhaps life ends when you think you are not free. This last part I've only realised now and I think it's actually something the show is trying to say very strongly. You may think the second and third life end in similar ways, with you recognising your futility. But one is recognition and the other acceptance. It is not so easy to truly break a human being. We are unable to stop hope. Most do not want to die when they do, thus most in a sense do not even reach the end of their third life. Is that good or bad? Would it be better to be at peace with it or better to be at war with it?
Did someone comment that this show doesn't have flashbacks (in the traditional sense)? Hehe, that's true, not in the traditional sense. This show blows the idea of flashbacks right out of the water.
In season one it does have Regina's nightmare which is a memory and a flashback and it has Helge's dream that is a memory and a flashforward... in a sense. But as one of my favorite lines from Doctor Who goes: Time travel has always been possible in dreams.
I discovered your reactions late but hope you noticed that there were 2 running jokes in the series. The French not having the meeting they wanted ith Claudia regarding the plant and Woller's eye. hehe
Wow. Your disscusions expand a lot lately but I don't mind at all. Just faszinating how close to the truth some of your theories are and how far away others. Enjoyed it as always and look forward to the most liked episode.
Thank you, appreciate you sticking around for the discussions, we honestly try to take notes during and keep the outro not so long but then the episode happens and then it is what it is. Lol 😂 thanks for watching and the support!
@@ReactionDragonz I think sometimes an episode need a bit more post analysis than others. You need to get your thoughts out as long as they are fresh. I envy you for being able to share. "God is time, and time is not merciful." "Our fate is nothing but a concatenation of cause an effect." "We've declared war on time. Declared war on God. We're creating a new world, without time, without God."
24:55 Okay you are thinking of Münchhausen-Stellvertreter-Syndrom, Munchhausen by proxy, or factitious syndrome by proxy. But if I remember correctly what I googled about the specific drugs she steals from the hospital is that those could be used to treat depersonalization or derealization disorders. But they are not prescribed for this condition in Germany. It could be that she wrongfully assumes that Mikkel is suffering from this and is simply trying to help him without taking him to a doctor who might question if he should be living with her but rather put him in the system. And for this I would like to add that Ines is really stressed about that mad man for a reason. Remember that she was the one who told Tannhaus about the dead kids? Remember who basically attacked her next? Ulrich did. And she might even know that the same guy was put in jail for killing the kids because the detective on the case is no one else but her father, Daniel Kahnwald. So for her the story of the lunatic who killed some kids in the 80s is very real and personal. No wonder she's doing everything in her power to figure out where Mikkel went and to make sure they never see each other again.
@@michaelklaus I still think the driving motiv behind Ines drugging Mikkel is, she is terrified to lose him. She so wanted to have kids and she couldn't.
