@@AstroFromTheBlue where'd you get your clicker an treat pouch? What hands free leash are you using? , Did you click train him? If so do you have a video on how
so nice seeing the difference between working mode and normal astro, there you can actually see how good he is ! i think it's the first time i'm seeing normal astro around other stranger people haha so cute !
Astro is such a cutie!! Doing so well as he learns how to do all his tasks!! And then absolutely having a great time at the store!! He's so pretty and you're so patient with him! A wonderful team!
Don't know if it would impact his working time, but I would really recommend getting Astro a seatbelt that attaches to a harness just in case you get in an accident
You and Astro continue to make such an amazing SD team! Seeing to progress you both have made since your first video is so cool! Thank you for brining all of us along on your guy’s training journey! ^^
So glad you two are doing well. You should be proud of yourself to all the training and time and effort you put. You should definitely target your car with Astro teach him how to find it by using some of your favorite treats right up against the door then gradually moving a few steps back until you can do it in a parking lot
@@AstroFromTheBlue every team is different so what works for us might not work for you but I could tell you how my dog was trained to do it and maybe you can use a similar method. The first step was to put a piece of kibble in my hand by the car door handle and have her take it once we did that a few times I backed up a few steps with her to heal then let her back to the handle and did the same thing after doing that a few times still with her in a heal and named it so I just said car as I led her to it and she took kibble from the handle. The final step was to have her lead me from a few steps away and once we go to the handle of the car door she got the cable. Eventually we were able to do this from down the street or from the store in a parking lot.
@@AstroFromTheBlue that’s just how the school where I got my dog did it I know it’s common across Guide Dog schools so I bet you’ll have a lot of success
I highly recommend keeping him in the back seat or turning off the passenger air bag and getting him a car harness and seatbelt. A crash could kill him in the front seat.
I'm watching with my new Japanese spitz puppy. She's so smart and cuddly. We just finished a practice grooming session and she only barked at the dryer once lol. She barks at dogs and bikes so I've got to get onto socialisation ASAP! Blessings.
Im new to your channel, and I have a german shepherd who is a psychiatric service dog in training. Im also from South Africa (fun fact lol) and Mishka and I are so excited to follow your journey with Astro!❤❤❤ Much love.
Im a 11 yr old dog trainer and have 2yr old doodle mix that i started trzining at 3 weeks, at first i was trzining him because my dream job was being a dog trainer, and still is but abt a year ago i started having extreme anxiety so i like to think of him as a esa not a sd bc i dont belive i qualify for a sd idk though ima start researching!
I’m not sure if you’ve already answered this before but what is the pouch you use to hold the treats? I also wanted to say that Astro has come a long way! You’re doing such a good job training him! ❤
hi hi!! i actually bought a new pouch that i’m going to be making a video about! but we got a silicone bag (sadly i don’t remember the name of the brand) but stay tuned for the video!! thanks for your support 😍😍
Can you make a video on how you taught Astro to respond to leg bouncing as I’m trying to train my sdit on how to do it bc he somewhat knows but not really
He did so good!! I can’t understand why so many people tho asked to pet him. I mean he is super cute and if he wasn’t vested I would definitely ask but he had a vest on labeling him as a service dog. They should know better. Although you do a great job handling those situations.
hi hi!! sometimes his leash wraps get hidden and people don’t know he’s a service dog! 😊 i think that’s what Mira was referring to, but i do agree with you that it’s not polite to let service dogs! 😊😊
Yeah I was referring that some people might just know better than to do it. Whereas without a vest they might not know he is a service dog. My pet dog is currently in training and we are awaiting her patches for her vest so that when we take her places people can easily see she is in training and not try and distract her or pet her without our consent.
Astro is doing amazing! Would you possibly be able to make a video on what your experience was like when you first got him and began his training as a new puppy? How stressful was the young puppy stages? What was training like when he was little? I am considering getting a golden retriever puppy to train to be a sd for my panic disorder. One thing I am worried about though is the young puppy stages, lack of sleep and stress give me more panic attacks (classic feeling anxious about getting anxious. 😅) I would love to know what the experience was like for you!
hi hi! thanks for your support!! yes ofc, i’d be more than happy to make a video about that!! i definitely had the puppy blues for sure, at times i was so stressed i would lock myself in the closet and just cry, but so worth it!! 🥰🥰
i know that dogs are allowed in Sephora, and even if they weren't, you would say yours is a service dog, so there's no way to stop this from happening. But at least realize you are ruining shopping for others. You are giving other people anxiety and distress by doing this. What you are doing is very wrong and horrible, despite the fact that its legal right now. It shouldn't be. This is a health and safety issue for everyone else. Did you even wash your feces bag hands before entering the store?
that is like saying you cant bring your wheelchair in because it touched the dirt out side service dogs are medical equipment astro is a service dog ( I am really confused on why you don't think service dogs are necessary to people like me)
I think you missed the trash can at the end 😂
HELP I SAW THAT TOO
haha oh shoot i didn’t even notice! 🤪

hi aunt chuyi!! hehe thank you for watching our videos! you're the best!
good job :) each video i watch i see some improvement from you guys. Astro walked so nicely down the stairs and was very engaged with you in the store
also his "centre" is really good. It would be awesome if you could make a video on how you taught him that! :)
Astro did so well in the store 🎉

hi!! we do have a seatbelt and harness for him, but i completely forgot about it in the house!! thanks for the reminder!! ☺️
Thats how a service dog should act good boy Astro

Asking someone more than once if they can pet your SERVICE dog is immature 🤢
Hi hi! I agree, a no means no.
why are you doing this? Cant you just be with your dog not in stores? You are hurting others.
