Great video! Beautiful dog! I would like to ask how much time do you give to your dog per day? How long are outside walks and exercises? There is so much myths on the internet about Aussies that I am happy to ask a real Aussi partner about it. Also people get’s crazy about feeding dogs raw food, but your Aussie looks happy with dry food. Thank you ❤❤

I have mixed feelings about e collars.... I cant tell if they hurt dogs or not 😅i heard they are to be avoided.

I’m wondering how many times a day and for how long per time you do training sessions? 4, 15 min sessions, etc) ?? I just crate trained him and I am so excited it worked! He loves his crate now. Looking forward to doing more training with my pup.

At one time I had 3 big dogs and 3 cats and they were all buddies. They played and slept together. If my cat got outside by accident my dogs would go find him and bring him home! Gosh I miss all of them, they've been gone years now and now I have my Australian shepherd. Hopefully soon I will be moving and I will definitely get her a cat friend. This is the first time in my life I've not had a cat but due to health problems I had to move in with my parents. Yes I brought all my pets but once they passed away I chose to get my dog and wait on another cat but I will definitely get one once I finally can move.

You’re doing such a good job with Astro!!! He’s so pretty and well behaved, and you’re so patient with him! One thing I have noticed, and this goes for lots of people, is that often you reward him immediately after he corrects himself. For example if he’s pulling ahead and you correct him, and then immediately reward, some dogs can associate the pulling and then correction with a treat instead of actually doing what they need to. There’s some great RUclips videos on this :] I fell into that habit with my GSD and it took a bit of practice to un-train myself out of that habit. Thanks for posting this cool video

I am trying to teach my dog some service tasks for my anxiety and depression. We are working on 'nudge' and "jumping up on me" type alerts. Do you think "paw" is a better alert?

Question. Am I able to get a dog to train to be my service dog? (I have anxiety and get stressed when ppl get to close also I have social anxiety and most of the time when I get yelled at or talked to by someone I also start shaking and get super stressed )

I recommend a martingale collar or a slip chain for when he pulls!!

He's grown so much as an sd! I'm 14 (almost 15) and I'm working with my therapist and my mom to get a phsyciatric service dog, and since we can't afford a program dog, I'm going to be owner training him! Seeing Astro grow has made me feel more confident and less anxious to train my own sd :3

This makes me feel so much better about my service dog in training! I’m always self conscious about how she’s not perfect and because she’s part Aussie she holds her ears back like that and I always worry that means shes anxious because I’m used to dogs with ears that fall straight down

1: I love your videos 2: A tip for you as a new service dog handler,you should check out over the shoulder dog leash that way you don’t have to hold the leash and you are able to use one hand to push the cart and your other hand to give Astro treats or to pick up food.I hope this helps
