Use to use old No 7 back in the 70s to clean around the old feed mill that use to stand on the corner before it burnt. They use to leave it outside of the shop and we'd go barrow it for a few minutes to clean around dock and if we had a big storm and it had the vplow on it we'd call down there and they'd come up with a blower and clean us out. Use to be a great group of guys there. Today I have no clue of anyone in the town, last time I was there was the year the mill burnt
Have never seen these configured to use Unimog attachments like 2 bottom plow, flail mower, sickle bar, hay bailer etc. Seems like they could be bought for pennies on the dollar compared to Unimog prices and have power to spare.
They get auctioned on Army surplus sites manufactured 1980's with front loader and back hoe on back. Most were licensed through a well known American truck manufacturer to government specs. Could have been Freightliner more since the Benz vans used by Amazon for example were interchangeable in many ways with the Mercedes vans. Don't see any late model Unimog clones. The Army surplus ones bought 10 years ago have gone up in value quite a bit. The Walter without a plow frame and with Ag tires might work as a powerful alternate.
What fantastic group of Walters! Awesome,
Brings back memories, I drove a 1947 with the pipe up threw the hood.
Great looking Walter snow plow trucks
It's a Walter museum! 😁
That’s cool I helped build that building
Look at the thickness of the old skool USA steel with actual welds that seem unbreakable. Back when shit was built with pride.

Unimog is not for sale in the United States, unless I missed something.

Were any of the Walters former Town of Florida machines? My Dad drove one that style, I was wingman if schools were closed. Just Curious. Thanks
Town of Florida in Amsterdam NY????? I lived on the Holloway Brothers farm in the early 70s when they had dairy cows.
No they were not. I have a few photos of Florida's Walter before they sold it.
I’ve never seen these before this vid
Does the town of Glenn never sell off old equipment?
Not that I have seen. One recently got sold to the former Super.
