I've been coming back to this song for years... it's so good. The ending in particular goes HARD, man. I've never heard an acoustic guitar be that heavy to this day. I'm a luthier, too, so hearing someone play a guitar this well gives me immense joy. You're fuckin' incredible.

It's rare that I hear a song on Pandora (Black Keys Radio) and immediately search it out... the song wasn't even over before I ran to the keyboard. It was an enormous shock when I found out that Mitch King wasn't enormously famous... because his music is better than 99% of the stuff out there today. Keep it up man, you're gonna be HUGE!

Holy crap I don’t think I’ve ever seen seen someone use a harmonica as a microphone for that kind of vocal filter before. Fucking ingenious. I thought it was something done in post when I first heard the song. That is one of the most creative things I’ve ever seen.

If you're not a Mitch King fan by the end of that solo that starts at 3:42... I just don't know, man. This guy is awesome! His other album Southerly Change is great too (if you like Coming Back, you'll LOVE the title track (Track 2).
Mitch King is awesome. He's my go to when I need a burst of energy to get things done.
For all the people asking, Mitch King replied to a comment about the tuning.
He said “C, G, C, C, G, C. (G string tuned low.) also I use 13-56 gauge strings, which helps compensate for the low tuning.

Like others, I came across this listening to the Black Keys radio on Pandora. Working on my truck, I had to crawl out from under it as fast as I could before the song ended to find out who just melted my ears off. What a jam, man. Good stuff. Can't wait for Covid to end to see some live music again. You'll definitely be on my short list.

Introduced to Mitch King for the first time, opening up for American folk rock band America. I have to say, I was well impressed. He knows how to captivate his audience. I truly wish him every bit of success, his hard work and humble nature is deserved of every bit the accolades received the night I saw him.

Pandora radio -I heard this song & had to stop it and search who it was. First time I had ever heard of Mitch and unbelievably pleasantly surprised ! Man...some of the best acoustic guitar work I've ever seen! Dude- it touched my soul. It especially got me once the tambourine came in with the left leg. As if the harmonica wasn't enough to make the hairs on the back of the neck stand up and Goose Pimples grow on the arm...

Pandora doesn't always get it right but I had on RL Burnside radio at work one day(plays a lotta black keys, discovered jj grey and mofro off the RL Burnside station) and Coming Back came on, Southerly Change, etc...Definitely a Mitch King fan now. Had no idea he was basically a one man band with this much talent until watching some of these videos. Hope he keeps it up.

Saw Mitch do the preshow to Roger Hodgson at the Palais on 02/02/19, and we were all blown away. He walked past us afterwards, and we congratulated him on a really brilliant show. Very humble guy, with a big bright future..forget Ed Sheeran, Mitch is King!
