Home invasion in upscale Orange County neighborhood was targeted

- A quiet upscale neighborhood in Newport Beach was shaken by a targeted home invasion early Tuesday morning, police confirmed.
According to preliminary information from a Newport Beach Police Department spokesperson, a resident called to report someone in their house -- located in a gated community -- around 4:45 a.m. A few moments later, the resident reported that someone shot one of the intruders, police said. It was later confirmed at a brief press conference that the homeowner was the person who shot at the suspects.

He likely had poor trigger discipline. Read stories about this before. One that I can recall was in SF where suspect shot himself running from SFPD. Of course, the community didn't believe it...

No. I didn't hear that the authorities arrested the victim and confiscated all his firearms, until he has a hearing in a little over a year to see if he can have his property returned. That's what happens to average people. And where is the news covering the mothers and family saying they are going to sue the homeowner for shooting their precious loved ones.

@@rexkimberley9537 Police always secure the firearm until the investigation is finished, (or any that "might" have been used), or any illegal ones. That's not as draconian as it sounds, but rather is SOP, done even when a firearm use appears totally legal. It's not an infringement on the rights of the people, just a necessary step in any shooting.
Best to have multiple weapons so you have a backup until your piece is returned.

Just had some intruder try to break into my parents home at 9:30pm on a Friday. The hell hound that resides in my husky came out and scared off the would be intruder. They were trying to pop the bolt. Not on our watch. My girl got a ton of belly rubs, cuddles 🥰 and treats. I’ll be rescuing 2-3 more doggos soon. ❤

He owned a business that imported from Mexico hiding drugs in the cargo he worked for the cartel he wasn't even Mexican.

LMAO, I have two High School Classmates that had become Lawyers in that area and moved out there after graduation from college. They Both have left the state. Because the Dems have that place out of control and both of these Lawyers lived in Gated Communities with Security and Both had their cars stolen and their homes burglarized over * 4 Times in a *2 year period. The have both moved to Florida to be safe.
