    I am super excited to see Drake Maye take over the NFL. I agree with you, I think the Patriots lucked out. I cannot believe the Bears and Washington passed on Maye. I understand why they did...but boy, they blew it. He will be better than Josh Allen. Why? Because he is a pocket passer first. Josh always takes off, but Maye will only take off if he has no other choice. If the Patriots can surround him around with top offensive line, he will exceed our expectations. All we need is decent running ability...and I think he is above average. It's good he is NOT the most talented runner.

    I've been on the fence about Maye, until now. Thank you for showing me the light. Media focus has been all about weak foot movement, can we say splitting hairs?

      They got way to nitpicky for me. Does he have things to work on of course. But when he figures that stuff out he will he great. He has everything you want for a 21 year old QB who can develop and grow into a STAR. So stocked for the Patriots future.

    Maye is still young and really hasn’t played a ton of football. Not like the other qbs in his class. He is still young and raw enough to be able to teach and coach him up into a elite player. There’s a reason people have been talking about him for the last 2 years. I think he has a ton of upside and gives us fans some thing to look forward too.

    Rest of NFL in trouble for letting Pats draft him....these Pats homers??...listen.. this Pats fan knows that its more about WHO Wolf/Mayo puts around him if he will be great......tbh...to this point...thru FA/trades...they have done very little to nothing. Lets not forget the line is still garbage.

    • @PatriotsDrive

      Wolf did a great job resigning talent from the team like Onwenu, Dugger, Bourne, Henry and Uche. Expect them to sign more FA from other teams this upcoming year, but it was very important to keep talent here and not let them walk. They are already doing more by taking 2 young WR in the top 150 unlike Bill who only did that 2 times since 2013

      @PatriotsDrive  4 месяца назад +1

      Its better to have rookies sit a little especially when you have a questionable OL and a WR core that needs to prove themselves. It is hard being a NFL QB no matter what pick you are so no need to rush him into it

    • @IEdjumacate
      @IEdjumacate 4 месяца назад

      What’s the rush? We don’t really know what this offense looks like. It could still be horrible. There’s no sense throwing him into a horrible offense to throw off his internal clock & mess with his mechanics.
      I’d rather be horrible again this year while he sits 3/4ths of the year, get him reps in low pressure games at the end of the year & then use another high draft pick to take a blue chip tackle or receiver next year and continue to build the offense. Then you start him the following year with a better offense. That way you’re kinda reverse engineering the “build the team around the QB before you draft him”. Drake is too good of a prospect to pass up on. Better than any of the prospects in the years to come IMO. So now we have him secured & we can focus on properly building around him while not completely destroying him.

    • @jonathanocchi7044
      @jonathanocchi7044 4 месяца назад

      My guess would be because he’s 21 and that gives him time to sit and learn.
      Despite wether he’s ready to start week 1 or week 10, he’s just going to be better prepared watching the speed of NFL defenses before he’s fed to them.
      Plus it gives coach Mayo time to see where the holes in his O line are. Don’t wanna get our new toy broken right away if we can avoid it.
      Do I believe he can start week 1? Yes. Do I also believe sitting for a bit would be beneficial? Also yes.
