- 2 32 oz container veg broth
Frozen peas
Frozen corn
Fresh green beans
1/3 cup barley optional I used to much lol
3stalks celery
3 carrots
Onion
A lil oil for pan
Garlic powder onion powder salt peppper
Fresh basil
Fresh rosemary
Chives
2 diced tomatoes
1/2 head small cabbage
Make some corn bread and you are set

Made this soup yesterday and was very skeptical. After letting it sit in the fridge for a day, this soup taste AMAZING. Thank you for the recipe
For this recipe I only suggest using 1/3 cup barley I used a lil to much lol 😆 things happen God bless enjoy 😊

Since you put the potatoes in to cook before you put the cabbage & green beans. Were your green beans & cabbage crisp or fully cooked & were the potatoes too soft? I plan to try the Korrs vegetable mix & your soup recipe this fall. I'm usually lazy & use frozen mixed vegerables. 😆
Can you bake your cornbread in the oven with a handle like the one on your skillet or did you fry it on top of the stove?

im davis hello I cooked my corn bread in the oven and the potatoes were perfect they take the longest to get cooked and I feel like the cabbage was just right not to soft and not to crispy and the green beans had a slight crisp God bless you thanks for watching Great question

I have been afraid to put my skillet like yours in the oven , for fear the handle would melt. It must be heat tempered. I love the idea of putting honey in the cornbread.

Gina!!! This soup though!! I watched the video Sunday night and it was on my mind till tonight. I went to Walmart and bought all my ingredients, made my soup! I love it! I have enough to eat for the week. I couldn't find navy beans so I took white kidney beans and I used half the white potato along with a bag of frozen organic sweet potato. I love this soup! I have "CONGESTUVE HEAT FAILURE" I've been combatting theses last three years.
I 've had two relapses, one in 2018, one in 2019, They've put me on a very strict diet. Mostly no salt to speak of, and no junk food. They tell me I can't get over this disease, but I feel I've got it beat. I weigh my self every Morning, started out at 162, now down to 133.5 lbs. The food I like the best, the one I eat virtually every day is your Vegetable Soup. I love it and I love your program. I enjoy watchin your diet on TV, keep up the great work, GINA. Oh, I almost forgot and important fact, I turned 90 last May 8, 2020. I was unimpressed, it was no different than turning 89 years old.

I love bologna sandwiches with mustard and a bowl of chicken noodle soup too! I love it!, I hardly ever eating bologna but if I do, I need the soup too! Your puppies are adorable. I make my soup a lot like you do but I don’t add okra or the barley. I add ground beef into mine too.
You can also buy frozen mixed veggies to save yourselves some time. Buy extra frozen corn or the big bag of frozen Veggies for vegetable Soup and add your spices and how ever you want to Make your soup. Ms. Gina never thought about adding cabbage. Next time I will do that. Thanks. I make Hot Water corn bread or sweet buttery corn bread. Mmmm Mmmm good eating 😁😀😂😂

I remember when I was a little girl in elementary school, on very days during the fall or winter the cafeteria would serve us peanut butter sandwich with vegetables soup. It was delicious and that was over 50 years ago

I love vegetable soup! I make this alot through the winter months. I add hamburger of course fried and I drain it well. Also add a cooked pork or beef roast to this and I make a big fan of cornbread! Everyone that eats my soup says it's the best they ever ate. I add a whole head of cabbage in mine. I think it just makes a better flavor broth. I'm going to make me a big kettle of soup this weekend! Yummy!
