You can definitely tell his favorites. Claire de Lune, Arabesque, and Reverie got almost a minute. Can't blame him. I'd have thrown in some more time on Gymnopedie n. 1. After all, he can play it with one hand - lol!
Edit - Apologies for Clare de lune. Suzuki teaches 'Au Clare de Lune' and sometimes I slip up and use the wrong one. Also Arabesque was a typo. Thanks for pointing these out.
jfan4reva You're right can't blame him
The Gymnopedies and the gnossiennes from Erik Satie are the best classical songs I know.
Because our National Claude Debussy is the best
I prefer Satie... His pieces are so ethereal.

Clair De Lune is one of the best melodies in the history of the world. When the earth ends, that should be played all over as end credits music, just image the total chaos with that peacefull music playing in the background..
Maybe followed by the Arabesque
Clair de la lune
It's funny you say that because the title means "moonlight", as it is the soft glow in the dim end of the day.
The music here would be the softening glow happening while seeing the bleak chaotic end of existence of our dear world.

It is actually from the Overture to Orpheus in the Underworld, sn operetta by Jacques Offenbach. #8 is correctly titled "Toreador Song." It and Habañera are arias from the opera Carmen by Bizet.

The UK national anthem is from French composer: that would have been fun to put it in this list
Is it? Isn't UK anthem God Save the Queen? I thought it was written by Handel, who was german and became a british subject..
@@Eleonorehmry yes, the anthem is by Handel. But the melody was originally composed 1686 by Jean-Baptiste Lully for recovery of french king Louis XIV. The original version in French is titled "Grand Dieu sauve le roi" which translate in "Great God save the king". It has been then adapted by Handel for the british court.
@@jeanc7327 It does ring a bell, indeed. I only remembered that it was from Handel. I guess I must have been sick on that class haha. Thanks :)
Eleonore Hamery Jean missed a part though : the second was written for the recovery of Louis XIV because of a problem to his ass ! I don't know what it was exactly but that's from here !
