I know that it's common for commentators to refer to any QB who scrambles as a "backyard style" player but to me Manziel's frantic, limb-flailing, criss crossing loop-de-loop scrambles with the ball held out wide are basically the epitome of that style. Aided by the fact that he wasn't the biggest dude so the ball almost looks a little oversized, like a kid using a ball sized for adults.
Glad he seems to have gotten his life together at this point

Are you so ignorant that you are going to claim that Russel Wilson only "played" in the super bowl? The point is he is a successful quarterback in the NFL. If you try to claim he isn't then you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Not to mention Wilson completed 18 of 25 passes for 206 yards and two touchdown and rushed 3 times for 26 yards in the SB. Not bad for someone only "playing" on a team.

Please dont compare the sec to the pros. Everone in the pros was an college superstar. The pros is the ultimate level of skills. He didnt play nobody yet we will see if he a bust or not in the pros. I dont see him as a good player yet I hope he proves me wrong. But I dont see him living up to the name. Or making a pro bowl
Bpaul C Manziel put up 907 yards and 7 TD's in his 2 games vs Alabama. Alabama's defense has had 10 guys picked in the top 150 over the past 2 years, with almost all of them being prospects.
And if you're going to say Manziel only did well because of weaker defenses, remember the fact that Texas A&M is also a college team, so the offense surrounding him is no where near the level it will be in the pros.

I'm just curious does anybody know if scouts criticize his throwing motion? It doesn't look that bad but it looks a little strange.
We did not see much running from Kap in the SB. It taught me something though, just stick with the big blue wrecking crew. Giants 2014!!!! On the running though you got to be able to pass as well, this kid can do that but the fact he has so much hype behind him and the fact he likes to run a lot makes him a big target when he gets to the NFL. I can see him going places but at the same time I can see him taking some big hits on his way there.

I think he has all the makings of an franchise QB in the NFL. He can run and make all of the throws. Once he learns how to read through all of his progressions in the pocket he will be a beast.
