Over on Twitter, Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz showed once again how much respect he has for women. #Colbert #Comedy #Monologue

2:42 _“I think the story today is an effort by someone on the inside to discredit the institution of the Senate”_ -- Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell
The Senate? Doesn't he mean the Supreme Court? He's _already_ discredited the institution of the Senate.
Know what else is bad for "the integrity of the Supreme Court"? Always voting along the party lines you're not supposed to have...
Killing babies shouldn’t be a partisan issue. Democrats make it one.
Overturning Roe V Wade isn't a party line, it's an unconstitutional over reach of the federal government. The federal government has no authority to regulate or protect something that it was not delegated to do through any law. There was a SCOTUS ruling made, but no law to codify that done after the fact. Which means by definition the federal government is violating the 10th amendment where "powers not expressly delegated to the federal government are reserved to the states and the people." States can and have enacted their own abortion legislation and for right now those laws will take precedence. There is also nothing preventing anyone from initiating legislation that grants the federal government said power to regulate or in this case "protect" abortions as a right, but this has to be codified as actual law not a SCOTUS ruling. overturning Roe V Wade doesn't ban abortions, it just makes it a state level issue as the 10th stipulates. If anything this is a good thing as it will force the politicians who say they support protecting abortion to actually put pen to paper and write and vote on a law protecting it. Call your state reps, call your federal reps and let them know where you stand and pass this suggestion along. There is a proper way to do this, but relying on the perpetuating of a SCOTUS ruling is not it.
@@AgentExeider People can disagree on whether this draft represents a "correct" decision, but it's kinda hard to dispute that it should be *Congress* codifying federal law...

The misogyny exuded from the GOP has no limits.
I would really like a Republican to explain to me how an unborn life is so precious, but suddenly ceases to matter the moment the first breath is taken. If they were truly pro-life, any restrictions on abortion would be accompanied by enforced paternal financial responsibility; mental health support for women forced to carry to full term; low cost, high quality medical care for both mother and baby, including birth control going forward; low cost, high quality childcare so the enforced mother can continue her education/employment if she chooses to keep the baby and a streamlined adoption process that doesn’t take forever and cost a fortune if she chooses not to.
Every woman forced to carry to full term should sue the people responsible for this fiasco for medical expenses, child support, child education costs etc.
Yes! Well stated!
There has never been a pro-life movement in the US, just a pro-birth one.
This is exactly why people like this shouldn't be referred to as being "pro-life" and should instead be called "pro-birth". That's quite literally the only thing they care about: making sure an expectant mother (even if, in some cases, the mother is a literal child herself) actually gives birth. And again, never mind if the baby is stillborn or born with a minimal expectation of survival or whether the birth will kill the mother.
Here in the UK, even though pretty much all our religious organisations and Churches are anti-abortion, most of them are at least willing to value the life of the mother just as much as valuing the existence of the foetus to the point of even admitting that abortion is sometimes the best option rather than forcing both mother and child to suffer down the line, and some have even actively campaigned for potential mothers to get easier access to support (both financial and pastoral) in order to lower the number of abortions through actively helping those who might be seeking one rather than just blindly operating under the stupid assumption that "if abortion is illegal, women will stop having them and there will be no problems as a result of that". It's kind of insane that, for the most part, they're ahead on this matter than a group of (supposedly) non-partisan judges in the US...

@@AZDESERT2024 Look who never passed a single Science class... there is a difference between a fetus that cannot survive independently outside and has never taken a single breath of air vs. A living breathing eight month old child.
@@AZDESERT2024 get your facts straight. No one is aborting 8 month old fetuses unless they are grossly deformed or decomposing in the womb! No woman deserves to die of sepsis because of your ideology and ignorance!
@@AZDESERT2024 it’s not that simple an abortion at 8 months is deviating to the parents, they’ve set up a room bought things for the child, named it, but something happen. Maybe risk to the mother abs or child and it can’t be viable. But bad faith degenerates like you don’t care. You don’t even care about the child once it’s born. You will infringe of the religious rights of others and force your will onto others. Roe V Wade was a Jehovah’s Witness that needed a blood transfusion. That is against their religion, but refusing meant the child dies. So it was a “late term abortion”.
The baby could also have a genetic defect that wasn’t cause abs letting it be born would be nothing but a short life of never ending pain. do research, stop trying to oppress others, fully realize the myriads of factors that are at okay. Don’t just vomit a cruel talking point out mindlessly.
If you don’t want any they you are free to not get one.
Find empathy and sympathy.
Learn to be human.
You can’t even claim religion, as life is considered to happen upon first breath.
So just stop with you mindless, heartless, vile, despicable campaign of hate, cruelty, and suffering.
You clearly don’t know that pain it causes people to make these choices.
I'm crossing my fingers that when the time comes, I only have sons for this exact reason. Since men want control then I don't want to put more girls into the world. What's the point of me having daughters if men get to decide what my daughters do with their bodies.

Finally the GOP spoke out the truth !
They don't want educated and most certainly not overeducated people, as they would be far too smart to vote for them !
Beau of the fifth column talked about that in one of his videos.
And all that after Trump expressed his affection for the poorly educated. We have an education war brewing, can't wait.
Explains the education system in red states.
@@ladyjane8855 Yes! The same happens in Northern Ireland, that little residue from the scattered British Empire. The whitewashed history the children learn is presented in all of the texts around tourist attractions etc. Propaganda masquerading as information.

Remember Amy Coney Barrett standing beside Mitch McConnell at his political shindig protesting that the Justices are not political hacks??? 😒
Oh, they are celebrating. They just are not throwing it in your face. Sometimes a wink, raised eye brow, eye contact or slight smirk is the best victory celebration of all.
Basically they are a bunch of children who were about to leave a flaming paper bag of dogshit on the doorstep and run away and now they're upset that they got caught before they could actually do it
It's interesting seeing US politicans who paint the middle eastern culture in a bad light working so hard to promote the same cultural aspects from the past of their own culture. Never seen a civilization go back in time before.
Then you should read about how the white male power movement responded to reconstruction, and the start of the civil rights movement in the 60s and 50s. Do you only follow right wing capitalist channels like this?
@@owenmersk4626 No, I don't follow politics in general as it's generally just narcissistic ppl with a God Complex who either think they know best, or are of the "My house, my rules" type of persons. I just find this case very entertaining.
I will look that up later, sounds interesting.
@Mr. chicano I haven't heard that one yet, But holy hell, it's the absolute most on point and short analogy ever ever ever. Stealing it forever, Thanks
This just screams desperation. Literally zero percent of people thought this was an issue.
@Mr. chicano Well forward but there is an uncomfortable amount of stalling and then jerking backwards and even then your going nowhere as fast as the speedometer say you are.
Why are they calling it a 'leak' instead of 'whistleblower' ?
Oh. Boy. Rick Scott too? Of course.
Greetings from Florida
You know what else is also bad for the Court, saying one thing in your confirmation hearing then doing another when you are on the Court.
I do believe they are under oath during confirmation hearings. So we have 5 Supreme Court Justices who lied under oath sitting on the bench. They deserve to be impeached and Biden should get to pick all the replacements.
And lest we forget, bad to have a wife who TELLS her hubby on the SC, how to vote! THAT’S BAD! 😡😡😡
It SHOULD BE. But...like everything involving Republicunts...they always get away with it. Where is the impeachment of Kavanaugh, Gorsach, Roberts, Thomas, Alito and Coney-Barrett GOING? Nowhere. I want them all removed for lying under oath during their confirmation hearings. Senator Collins should be impeached...for STUPIDITY! Even while shakily announcing "I was deceived"...she still won't support the bill that Dems are putting forward to protect women's reproductive rights. She wants a less liberal one...OF COURSE.
Who doesn’t support abortions for minorities and liberals?😂😂👍🏿👌🏿
Shit! You're right! Slavery should come back! Slavery was the law of the land until it wasn't. It was the law of the land? How did anybody have a right to change it! At least separate but equal should come back since the supreme court itself overturned it! Once again it was the law of the land the Supreme Court upheld... until it wasn't! The Supreme Court never had any right to change their mind then either! SMH!
"...harmful to the institution of the Supreme Court." LMAO the leak is not nearly as harmful as the appointment of Brett.
Also right wing capitalist channels like cnn aren't reporting at all on clarence thomas, so he probably won't face any accountability from right wing democrats, like george bush
My body my choice we r women hears us ROAR WITH NUMBERS TO BIG TO IGNORE 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
"LEAKED'...needs to be redefined.

A dog is missing because someone left the door open. But instead of looking on the dog that is still missing, GOP focuses on blaming the person who left the door open. Wrong focus, wrong problem will be solved.

Women should start a petition to force men to have reversible vasectomies, that can only be reversed with the consent of a woman who wants to have his child.
