I have a phyllodes tumor…they’re unsure if it’s cancer yet, but I have surgery soon to get it out. This video helped me feel a little more at ease, thank you for making this public.
@@mariaescalera6967 I am ok! They thought it was a phyllodes but after surgery found out it wasn’t! I pray/hope that your daughter will be ok. She is so young, hopefully that will be in her favor. I am thinking of you, too. Such a scary process. Keep your heads up! Remember, worrying about what it could be won’t stop it from coming true or from not happening. Try your best to stay positive ♥️
did you have a breast biopsy? if so, did your breast biopsy results confirm that it was a phyllodes tumor? i recently got my results from my breast biopsy and the final diagnosis is a "fibroepithelial lesion with cellular stroma" and they didn't rlly officially diagnose me with anything, but they think that due to the size of my lump that it could be a phyllodes tumor but i've been reading that those are super rare especially in young people.
@@springsflor hi!! I had a needle core biopsy and they said the same thing! I was diagnosed with two possibilities: a Fibroepithelial lesion, or a phyllodes. Mine grew very fast. I even had inflammation a few times. After my surgery, they were able to officially rule out the phyllodes and it was a “simple” fibroadenoma. I was 22 when this process started, and I’m 23 now. No cancer (thank goodness) and I will pray for the same results for you. Let me know if you need to talk!
@@Acw279 Okay, I see. I'm glad to hear that it wasn't anything bad! I was doing some research about "fibroepithelial lesions with cellular stroma" and apparently they are hard to really diagnose on biopsy because fibroadenomas (especially the juvenile type) and phyllodes tumors have many overlapping features. Nonetheless, they told me that my lump appears to be benign, so there's some good news so far. And thank you for your prayers 🤍
Regarding the risk of malignancy from the fibroadenoma: Correct me if I am wrong. But as far as I know BEFORE it was thought to be a precursor for carcinoma. Now we know it is not the case. The fibroadenoma might be associated with with carcinoma, but not directly one causing the other. There are relations (like BRC1 mutation) that increases risk of female organ carcinoma (like breast, ovary and uterus)
Mine was benign and I got it removed during Covid-19 in my right breast they're multiply 2cm and 3cm and now it back again both Breast 😢 I really don't know what to do😓 I don't like operation anymore... is there a possibility that this can lead to tumor if ever?
@@crissabalasabas5025you must have fibrocystic breast disease like me. Did they tell you that you have dense breasts? As I’ve gotten older mine have developed more and more cysts and I just had a biopsy that came back as a fibroadenoma with microcrystals. I’m 39.
Dear sir, Is there any email or personal contact information to ask questions? Would be a big deal if help and I would highly appreciate it. Thank you in advance Judit W G Ungvar
Is it bad if a fibroadenoma is visible through the skin? I have some on my breasts, and I can very clearly see it on the skin surface without even needing to touch it to find where it is :( i am so scared
sort of! once fibroadenoma is a kind of fibrous lesion... but, in general fibrous is popularly known as a scar; fibroadenoma instead, is not a scar, but a neoplasic lesion made of "mostly fibrous tissue and has also a epitelial component" it means its not made only by fibrous...
I have multiple breast cyst but I believe in Jesus. God healed me and got normal reports. Thanks Jesus
