Remember when Blue Meanie and Mark Henry had a 5 star classic at King of the Ring 98?
Not even going to lie, I am now a bit upset that there never was a Hardcore Champ/King of the Ring winner. "Hardcore King" would have been an awesome gimmick.
A "Hardcore King" gimmick would have been reserved mostly for maybe a Holly push. True it could have applied for the Hardcore division, but let's face it - a Hardcore King Holly would have been amazing.

@@temptedtepesh He only really started getting relevance during the Hardcore division era. He was great, though Crash with his 24/7 gimmick got over. Holly never could be relevant, even when he got pushed with Brock Lesnar. At least he teamed with Cody when Cody first showed up. And other than that, he, what, was a rookie beater? Nah, his best era was the attitude era.
So I started a run of this while watching the stream, playing as Ken Shamrock. I had D'Lo Brown as my partner but he eventually turned heel on me and my replacement partner ended up being, I shit you not, The Blue Meanie. I didn't even know that could happen.
Coincidence? I think *NOT.*

I'll admit that I too was messed up when I found out that AKI was pronounced "A-KEE" rather than the acronym "A-K-I-". Sadly, I'm afraid that after more than two and a half decades of saying "A-K-I-" I simply cannot, and will not start pronouncing it differently. A-K-I- is far too ingrained to change now...

Just wanna post my frustration somewhere, replaying No Mercy and WM2000 leads me to conclude they are the worst wrestling games. Completely unfair and unfun by yourself.
