I'm surprised you didn't try a lobster eggs bennie for breakfast. I love Maine. I've never been to Portland though. I think you will love it more in the summer when the weather is warmer. If you want to go swimming, don't expect the ocean to be warm though, it's always freezing. Try to find a nice pond instead. Lobster has been pretty expensive the last few years even in New England. I can only imagine what the cost is Maine lobster is when it's shipped outside of the area. Steamed and fried clams are usually great too. The seafood in general is pretty great. Next time you go get a fisherman platter. If the place is good, one plate will fill you both pretty well.
