Glad I saw this. I have them, but didn't really know or understand how they worked. Now I know some and have to remember when I get to use them. Thanks for Sharing.
@Nancy re: "Does he ever say if you can write over them with pens?" Yes, he said they will dry in a minute, or so, and they can be written on. Btw, when will the crayons be out? I looked everywhere and they are not on the site mentioned here.
+Jacqueline C I hope you've gotten them...they're everywhere - and on sale @ JoAnn Fabrics & Amazon now! ENJOY!! (LOVE his color palette - better than anyone else's.....I need to change my name to "Holtzaddict"! lol
Does he ever say if you can write over them with pens? I am wondering if they are like NeoColor IIs or Gelatos, which really resist writing or mark making with pens of most kinds. :)
Hope you're able to answer my questions: 1) I was wondering if the brushes can be used with other mediums like gesso? 2) Is the crazing medium reactive only to distress products? 3) Lastly, (someone asked below, great question) are the crayons acid free?
1) Yes, you can use them with other mediums, they work great with gesso. As long as you clean them really well when you are finished they work great every time. 2) Good question! We haven't experimented with other products. I'm not sure. 3) I checked the package and it says Non-toxic but it does not say acid free. I would recommend contacting Ranger directly to make sure that the Distress Crayons are acid free just to be safe. They could also probably answer your question about the crazing medium as well. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Thanks for watching!
I wonder if I could use these to make the lines on my Tim Holtz trimmer show up better? He said it world work on metal, but what about the plastic on the trimmer? #Timholtz
Is anyone doing my household chores for me? I can't stop watching all the new videos from CHA ;)
I just was thinking the same thing. I love Tim Holtz and his products.
I know thats so right. But the good thing is~~~~our housework is willing to patiently wait for us!!

Hi, I was informed yes, yes, and are acid free - thanks
That's great! Thanks for the update. That is wonderful news.
Are the crayons acid-free?
All I can see on the packaging is 'non-toxic'

Too blurry, can't see a thing :(
Crayola Portfolios did it first, did it better, and much cheaper.
Nah. I don't think so.
