Most part of the comments are people who didn't even watch the video. I watched before and I watched now for the 2nd time, and there is more a discussion of the points presented than criticism about them. Are there some degree of criticism? Sure, they are few, and again, most part is really about a discussion of the subject.

I don't mind going beyond retro gaming ( I don't often show interest myself) but I've noticed the AAA industry dying thing is a bit of a trend. I imagine Asmon wanted to cover it and found the channel, he often does that to help himself cover the topics

I had no issue with that video of yours I understood it perfectly, and I saw how correct you were, sure I can see how people would dissect it to being confusing, but to me it all made sense, in a logical way, no conspiracy theories, just a simple logical look at the reality of the world as it was and how it is.
while I am not a huge fan of Asmongold he is a intelligent person and makes good content, for his critique I am amused by it but I can also see his point as well.
his video was well done and and not at all a negative session

My only exposure to Asmongold were his recent videos like that one he did on the recent Yakuza/Like A Dragon game and yeah not a fan of his and I felt some of his points in those videos weren't well thought out, in fact those videos basically put Asmongold on my "not for me" list, so I never watched anything from him again since.
Why do you hold Asmongold's opinion of you so highly? Why does what he has to say matter to you this much lol.
He got 600,000 views on the video in just 12 hours, that's a professional, with a hugely active fan base, who has clearly mastered his craft. That's why I have a high opinion of what he has achieved. He makes more money in 2 hours than I do in a month.

Let me just say how glad I am that you've proven yourself to be someone that uses their brain but not just the limbic portion as many of my fellow citizens in the U.S. It takes a mature and centered person to take criticism constructively while also standing up for ones self like you did ma'am. Kudos
We ARE in a crash. I can't think of a single game in the last ten years that would be considered a "killer app" that sells consoles. RDR2 was the last.
I've seen a few of your videos and appreciate your takes on things. You definitely know more about history than a lot of RUclipsrs that talk about gaming.

It IS, then I noticed how every nook and cranny of that desk is packed with retro treasure. Vextrex unit, Amiga, C-64, an odd looking phone that's actually a ColecoVision. Good lord.

I followed Asmond after he played one of the games I was currently playing.
I knew he had a generally disliked reputation but after watching a number of his reactions he is definitely an intelligent individual. His ability to use logic and provide mostly fair and unbiased opinions is really something more people should strive for.
I was actually very happy for you when I saw him react to your video because he can definitely (and it seems he has?) bring your channel the attention I think it deserve.
Both of you seem to have a pretty leveled head when it comes to greater issues and I hope to see you grow even more from this! 👏🏻
A lot of dudes like that don't like when you tie small picture stuff to big picture stuff, because it's easier to shepherd simple, short sighted anger about toys than really confront the actual issues at play in a lot of things, since their positions in life are often directly set upon that paradigm.

I think this boost from the Asmongold "controversy" is great for you and the channel. It has been a quote for a long time and I don't think anyone remembers where they heard it, but it's something like, "If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room." I think I heard Shaquille O'Neil say that about hanging out with the shark tank mega--investors.
I remember MatPat, from the Theory-brand channels saying that consulting on other creative RUclipsrs' channels was one of his many jobs in the entertainment sphere.

I didn't saw yours or asmom videos but I've noticed the similarity in the titles, now I now the full story.
I!ve heard somewhere that it can take up to 6 weeks of uploading a different type of content for the algorithm to adjust who it targets your videos.

Asmongold's reactions are often criticised by people saying he just 'steals' content. They never mention the benefits that come with increased attention. Well that's a relief.
Constructive criticism is one of the most important things to obtain. It is a rare gift because rarely do people criticize in a positive manner even when they are a coach. I would say stay dedicated. It is in a sense a numbers game. When you are shifting into another market in any business, it is going to have a small drop off in views as that still will need to be built out and those viewers will need it. It wouldn't hurt to create a separate channel for that reason to build out that specific one that is outside your niche because the view count and drop off matter for the algorithms and it may result in it not recommending the channel because the niche can hurt you if your niche view watch time goes down. If it doesn't then the shift is good. Otherwise, it is best to make a separate channel to build it out that is tailored to gaming and then have it link to your niche channel as you build out that audience. The person I heard that from was Alanah Pearce's channel who recently moved one of her video groups because the core were disinterested and so she created a separate one so that it could grow separately. Gaming wise if you want a broader audience for it, the best strategy is to look at the fastest growing games on RUclips or where there is a huge drop off in content creation (Probably the best for entertainment). The high growth is competitive and I don't know where you can find that information but where there is growth in views, there is growth in subs if you can capture a few. Content drop off with no watch time is another big one for any game genre. A lot of times for example BG3, it is still a popular game and well liked and details are still interesting but you have these growth chasers where there will be musicians playing tunes, or see this hidden thing, or what the glitch etc. When they move away from it and find the next it game like Helldivers 2 or Open world battle royale sexy butt game, it leaves a huge gap in content because people will still be playing BG3 or No Man's Sky for a while but the content per watch time will drop more because everyone is chasing the high growth in content. I still Watch Fallout 4 content and Epic Nate's channel or Age of Empires 2 Spirit of the law or what not. There are people who still want to watch Minecraft games or Broblox or what not. But the idea is to grow watch time and have a low drop off ratio, I think. I never tried though. Everyone seems to want to be a RUclipsr but the science of social media algorithms were interesting for an ADHD person myself at that time. I have to go now.
