What she said is that she had "protested and criticised" Obama. You can protest and criticise someone without attending an explicit rally on that particular thing. Additionally, there is an issue of nuance - you can disagree with 2 people to different degrees. Obama was basically a centrist, and so while you may want to criticise his actions and policies, 1) they're probably pretty similar to those of a majority of politicians, and 2) he's going to tend towards the status quo - politics as usual, so he's not necessarily going to inspire the same level as vitriol from someone on the left as someone like Trump. Trump is an amoral nationalist/populist politician who swayed WAAAAAYYY far right on a lot of issues, and also actively and openly supported multiple right-wing dictators, and arguably tried to turn America into a right-wing dictatorship (although this interview happened before some of that). @@kingcerberus4785 You see the issue here is that you're saying she never "attended a protest", when that wasn't what she said, and that wouldn't change her point either. What she said is that she had "protested and criticised" Obama. You can protest and criticise someone without attending an explicit rally on that particular thing.
Additionally, there is an issue of nuance - you can disagree with 2 people to different degrees. Obama was basically a centrist, and so while you may want to criticise his actions and policies, 1) they're probably pretty similar to those of a majority of politicians, and 2) he's going to tend towards the status quo - politics as usual, so he's not necessarily going to inspire the same level as vitriol from someone on the left as someone like Trump. Trump is an amoral nationalist/populist politician who swayed WAAAAAYYY far right on a lot of issues, and also actively and openly supported multiple right-wing dictators, and arguably tried to turn America into a right-wing dictatorship (although this interview happened before some of that). A leftist is going to be FAR more worried about someone like Trump than, whereas someone like Piers Morgan - who is centre-right at best - is politically sat right in between the two and is a personal friend of Donald Trump, so he is naturally going to see the two as morally and politically equivalent.
Additionally, the Obama presidency started when she was 15, and ended when she was 23. People's political views change and evolve a lot over their late teens and early 20s, so it wouldn't necessarily indicate hypocrisy even if you COULD argue that Obama and Trump were identical. It could simply indicate that she wasn't as politically aware or as secure in her positions back then. It's not like her views have changed. She still disliked Obama for many of the same things as Trump; she just didn't necessarily go to protests about it before.
