Sweet! Served on the USS John F Kennedy CV67 in the 70's. The Tomcat was pretty new at that time. She is a powerful bird. She is a challenge to fly well but can actually hold her own against an F18 or F16 with a skilled pilot. There are some things I hate about her like the crappy HUD display lacking data, but she is my favorite bird to fly in DCS. The raw power under your butt is so much fun. Nice job on the video! The amount of time and effort you put into it is very obvious. Well done! My memories of the USN will always center around the F14 Tomcat!
It's real a shame that Heatblur Simulations can't make a late block variant of the F-14B(U) with the Sparrowhawk HUD which was superior to the HUD in the F-14D according to some sources. I find it annoying that I have to dislocate my head from my neck to just check my speed dial (which isn't clear at all and tucked away in a tight corner) because no speed telemetry is displayed on that awful F-14A HUD. Heatblur could've done the F-14B(U) because they wouldn't have had to model the APG-71, all they had to do was model the digital INS/GPS navigation and do the newer HUD. I guess in life you can never get what you want....
I just bought a gaming laptop very strong I’m not a gamer at all but I bought this to fly because I fly small experimental airplanes in real life and I love aviation and I’ve always wanted to fly in a jet. I got to fly in several I’m sure you guys know that you can go on a ride for around $2000 in California and there’s a few different places also in Florida that will take you up for around an hour or as long as you can handle it they give you a half-day session of how to eject how to do anything just in case of an emergency and you even get to do some small basic maneuvers. It was absolutely the time of my life and I suggest anyone and everyone to go do it if you can take the time and the money to do it. I’m new to DCS and I watch your videos and it’s absolutely inspirational. Geez I didn’t realize DCS can be so freaking amazing and so far in my journey everyone I’ve asked helping me set up my F 15 and has been very helpful and I am absolutely loving it but I wanted to complement your work I wanted to say hello to everyone please don’t make fun of me like I said I just love to fly like all of you and This is a way we can all enjoy the dream together. And for your videos wow you were really honestly think that you make videos on real films for a living maybe you do maybe you don’t I’m new to the channel but your work is so good they could use it in movies blockbuster hits thank you for making these
I love that non-dramatic-stick-to-its-simple-beauty-style, and the soundtrack does its part. Amazing piece! After 2/3: oh, it has changed to dramatic. Still beautifully. Period. :')
@@audunskilbrei8279 except mid range gaming pc's can actually run dcs at nigh ultra settings, good luck getting good frames on mfs2020 outside of an nvidia testing rig
@Anthony Vos nah I wouldn't say that, I think hand crafted maps are waay higher quality and they're actually feasible for dcs since it's not attempting to map the whole planet. the real issue is adding the extra detail without hurting the framerate, something that becomes harder by the year as dcs's engine keeps aging while trying keeping up with modern standards. can't have your cake and eat it too, and eagle dynamics made the right choice focusing on stuff that's more visible like the gorgeous cockpits and new clouds/rain effects
