Dude is a legend his pedals are awesome! That is one sweet piece of equipment. So much versatility in a single pedal. I haven't had a wah on my board in over a decade but might need to reconsider after watching this demonstration. The outro video is amazing.
I really appreciate the kind words, thank you, and yes, Roger is a legend. I have the utmost respect and admiration for him. It's great to meet like-minded folks on this channel. Welcome!
Excellent video, Sean. Total revelation; but I shouldn’t be surprised since I own an Axis Fuzz. The thing’s remarkable, a beast. This is a fantastic demo of Roger’s wah. Already knew he was integral to Jimi’s sound; everything was customized. But this drives the point home. Also - excellent commentary in the last part of your video; well put, NEEDED to be said. Many thanks for your great video; repeat viewing on this one for sure! Dane
Dunlop put out a Hendrix wah that I use. It's voiced to take some of that shrill top end out. Probably very similar to your DIY suggestion in this video. Seems many guitar players, for whatever reasons, are prone to abusing their gear. There's a Cream era Clapton video interview where he literally stomps on his wah to demonstrate how he uses it. They don't call them "stomp boxes" for nothing.
