It is also good to reconnect with a parent cause u only get 1 birth mom and 1 birth dad. I lost my daddy at the age of 7 to bone cancer and I lost my birth mother in December of 2019 due to health problems but I was glad to reconnect with her since I was only a couple months old since my dad and my mother got a divorce, that was in 1983. I got adopted by my great aunt and uncle on my 8th birthday and my birth mother come back into my life in 2018 and I was 35 years old.

It makes it hard knowing that she has cancer and I can’t see her right now but I will soon. this is so relatable because my parents have been getting divorced for the past two years and it’s been literal hell. I am the opposite of montana where i am super estranged from my dad. divorce sucks and i feel like no child should be put in the middle of a choice adults are making but that’s kinda what divorce does sadly. I am in my senior year of highschool now and it’s been super hard to focus on school since i’ve been so depressed but you guys’s videos really brighten my day. thank you montana for sharing i’m keeping you and your mom in my thoughts ❤️

I'm 16 now and my parents were engaged when they had me but they never got married. It was hard for me to watch at such a young age since most of my friends seemed to have married parents. I never really spoke to anyone about it and so my first years of high school were horrible. But they've married other people and I have two baby brothers, one from each side. They're happy now so I'm happy for them. This made me feel like I have someone to relate to and I love you for opening up like this. Love you Montana ❤❤

When my parents separated I saw my dad a little bit and then eventually I couldn’t go over there anymore. My mom didn’t let me see my dad for about 2 years almost 3 and I just started being able to see him again around 2 years ago because I turned of age and I was so excited and happy to see him again

When I was 15 I was at a boarding school because I was in really in a bad place in my life ,at that time my parents got divorced and they didn't tell me at first, I discovered it when I talk with the manager. I guess they didn't tell me themselves because I was in a bad place. It's so hard to deal with parents that are getting divorced. It's OK to take time to process things and it's so good to here that you get passed that. ❤

Me and my twin sisters parents got divorced when we were 5 and now we are 11 and 1 week we are w/ our Dad and then w/ our Mom and vise versa. It has been really hard for us to to leave our Mom every week and then our Dad. 😭 For a while we always thought it was our fault that they got divrced and then we realized that sometimes parents don't work out. 😔🙁

Omg. This actually made me feel so much better. I am going into my junior year of high school and my parents got divorced 4 years ago. My mom and I fought every day she had custody and our relationship was so toxic. I have lived with my dad for the last year. She recently got the courts involved because I refuse to live with her again. I reunited with her yesterday (court ordered) and it was so awkward because we’ve both changed to become polar opposites. It feels so good to know im not the only one who has a difficult relationship with a family member.
