Something I've been trying to research is all the poems associated with the Sailor Manyo inks! Interesting thing to look into. I found out about it when they released the 5 new ones Asagiri, Ishi, Yu, Himeyuri and Tsuyu!
Oooh! Another rabbit hole to go down! Thank you for letting me know cause now I want every one of them but they're all 50ml bottles!!! It will take me forever to use all of that ink up. But I did check and the poems for each are so soul invoking. Mmmmh!
Yes. The nib! The Nib! THE NIB! I got the red one with a M nib and I love it. Nice observation that the nib is similar to the Hocoro. I think from up close pictures that the tipping is different though.
Oh def tipping is different but was bit surprised by Sailior's nib selection for this born, not in a bad way mind you. And I'm still enjoying writing with it.

I too 'caved' and got the Tuzu in Blue (M), after I told myself I was going to pass on it. 😏 I went back and forth between the standard Gray and the limited Blue. The Blue won out because I write more with blue ink than any other color, plus they used the magic word 'limited'; I figured that if I really liked the pen and later decided to buy another one, the standard Gray would still be available. I really like it a lot so far. I ended up with a M nib because the F was sold out in Blue when I changed my mind and bought it. Now, I'm glad about it.
Totally did the same thing but my dilemma was between the Green and the Blue. Something about the translucency of the navy won me over. One of the thing I didn't say was that I went with the M, cause I'm a M fan, but mainly because I've decided if I want to have a nibmeister work on it I'd rather they start from M nib.
Oh my word how can a simple pen make my heart sing? But this one definitely does. Love the Sherry Sonata but I'm in my "don't-want-big-ink-bottles-anymore" phase. Just don't use the inks enough to warrant that expenditure. Small and mini bottles are just the right size for me. Sigh.
I put that pen on my wishlist day one when I started in pens (a week ago 😅) I took it off though. Now I'm tempted to put it back. Ps I love your videos.

I've heard that so many times....people having acquired Sailor pens back then and cost being so low comparatively. I'm sure they are enjoying their resurgence in the pen world where so many want them and are willing to pay today's price for them.
I bought the mint and still want the navy. Prior to getting this pen, I'd had no real interest in Sailors. I rotate a bit to the left. Adjusting the Tuzu made it perfect for me. Now, I have a tangerine 1911 Large on the way! A dangerous hobby we have, eh?
You know it! Danger indeed to the wallet. I tried a 1911 L and a KOP this past weekend at our monthly pen meet up and I might have to like Sailors even more. Think Pro Gears & Slim are just not me. Bleh. And I'm still also considering getting the green Tuzu 😆. Oy!
@wildlyimaginable I was lucky because Stationery Dumpling brought her Sailors to our meet-up, and I was able to try the mini ProGear through a 1911L. Thank goodness she didn't have a KOP!
@@nlamproplos However you do it get your hands on a KOP to try. Think it's a game changer for Sailors but then again...that pen is not something I can easily afford anyway 🤪
LOL they have your number heee. I love how Sailors look but their grip section is too uncomfortable for me so my wallet is pleased. Of course I have zero room to speak as I have another opal pen goming from Justturnings...
One of them always has access to our wallets at any given time. 🤣 Haven't tried a Justturnings pen yet. At least 1 bespoke pen is on my list to acquire this year.

Nice new pen! I have that same Lamy Safari Pink Cliff…using FWP Sherry Sonata ink. 😊

What nib do you have in your pro gear slim? My favorite pro gear/pro gear slim nibs are the 21k ones.
I didn't get the 21k and sorta wish I did. Still not enamoured with the nib that's in it. Sigh
