I really try to stick to the plan but sometimes an ink (or inks) call to me. I put a rule in place a few month ago....no more large ink bottles. Has to be 15 ml or less for me to purchase. The 7DS inks kinda didn't follow that rule but I knew there would be few exceptions. 😊
There goes another vote for Pride. Those sheening blues are so divinely delish! 😃 I have a selection of blue inks with sheens that I plan to swatch soon. Cannot wait to see them all together on a page. Copper or gold shimmers are my faves.
I have a sample of Pride and like it a bunch but I'm really interested in Greed and Wrath now too! I thought that Wrath was going to be quite similar to Wearingeul's Dracula but it looks actually quite different. I'm more of a shimmer than sheen person, but I do love an ink with both.
Yeh, Wrath is not like Dracula at all and, I like both of them. Greed is a different kind of olive-y green/goldish ink. I cannot say I like 1 property, shimmer or sheen, over another. I love them both.
Cool 😁 my favorite is the coloration of gluttony However I am an “emotional” inker - and the name of an ink sways me almost as much as the actual color - so as beautiful as all of those colors are … not sure if I could handle using any of those inks based on the names alone 😳 Am I the only one like this?

Carol Anne there is no "proper" method to doing the baggie swatch.😆 Gotta find the way that works best for how you want it to look. I did it a totally different way for the swatches I did in my journal for 30inks in June. Some I like, some I didn't. 🤷🏽♀️
Just gorgeous, Grace! I'm a Lust kinda girl, myself. 🤭 I like the lighter blue with the pink sheen. I've got several blues with red sheen so Lust would be a good addition to my collection. Don't get me wrong, they were all lovely but I, too, need to slow down my ink purchases! Off to Cult Pens now!

I knew I had seen that swatching method from another You Tuber - fascinating!! It seems simple enough, but swatching Lust nearly got out of hand!! Would you ever consider using a folded nib to lay down the swatch? I think that way it would give you good control without having to limit the amount or having the ink spread in an unwanted direction. As for the inks, I think I would favor the Envy and Lust. I'm on a bit of a green kick!
Thing is Jim, with the baggie method I'm not after control with the swatch. I want oodles of colour in an abstract way and the properties to shine. As for Lust going off whack 😆, I've learned to embrace the flubs. The Grace of old would have been very disappointed in the Lust swatch and want to do it again. Btw, I actually use my folded nib a lot. I use it to swatch all Currently Inked inks for the month in the monthly pages of my Sterling Ink B6 notebook. LOVE. LOVE, LOVE the way it lays down colour in that precise way! And me too about greens right now,. especially the more deep and lighter olive-y toned green inks. Thanks for watching!

I recently ordered Wrath, Gluttony, Pride, and Envy (I think I watched the same video as you lol) and I have to say I really love Gluttony! (Not typically an orange person, though I do also love J. Herbin Cornaline de Egypte!) And Pride would be a close second! (I do like silver shimmer!)

Not for a dang second 🤣 Love the swatches of inks I do but as a writing ink, definitely think Greed will be one of my faves to write with in my journal. This was my 1st time ordering from Cult Pens. Will be doing that again for sure.

I have around 150 inks, and Wrath is my favorite hands down (Colorverse Witch by Starlight #2) I don't know how you got the green sheen, I've never gotten it funny enough. I use it in a double broad River City Pen Co pen, and it shades red and black with minimal shimmer even on cheap paper. Phonemonal color, I'll be buying the 50 ml next CP order.
Now I’ve gotta go and do more ink swatching on different papers to replicate the black sheen. But how in the world did I get the green??? Mmmmh….. And 150 inks! Whoa!

Maria did these for 30inks. They are really fun. Sloth is delicious. Socare Pride and Lust. My grandpop called it calf shit brown :P Sheen etc doesn't show well on 100gsm. Thats why I test on tomoe river too you bget both ends of the spectrum.
Your Grandpa got it right 🤣 It's a "different" colour but I like it. Thinking of inking it up in a pen for August too. I started using Col-o-ring cards early on for swatches (but also swatch on Mnemosyne and Rhodia I cut up to match the Col-o-ring cards size) for that same reason so I really get the properties initially when I get it.
