Hi Rudy. Another good selection. It's very rare to come across cassette tapes in charity shops. I've no means of playing them anyway. I do own 1 cassette and 1 VHS tape just for sentimental reasons and me being a completist of my favourite artist John Foxx.
Hi Peter, I I buy cassettes for the same reason… I have a few VHS tapes that were from when my son and daughter were kidsj. John Foxx… you always have something unique on your playlist I like it! Happy Easter Peter & God Bless! 😊🙏
Hi Rudy ☀️☀️☀️☀️glad you are feeling better! I just came back from downtown Athens in order to search for cds… the prices are nowhere near as cheap as in the US. A used cd here will cost minimum 2 euros, a used cassette goes for 4 euros and can go up to 12 euros… it is quite pricey considering how low salaries are here. I am currently listening to Peter Gabriel’ s greatest hits. He is very good! Earlier in the week I was listening to INXS, Gloria Estefan, Sting. A bit of everything really! It’s getting very warm in Athens as well, climate change is scary. Don’t get me wrong, warm weather is great, but the month of March should still be pretty cold. God bless you Rudy, have a great Friday and a lovely weekend!
Hi There Eleni! It’s good days and bad days! I get a MRI Tuesday so we shall see! CDs are anywhere from $2-$4 in most US thrift stores. I know a few that always have them for $1 and have color tag sales and discount days so that’s where I mostly go. I have Peter Gabriel on vinyl… Good choice! I’m gonna have to give him a spin! INX, Gloria Estefan & Sting are all good choices! Enjoy the warm weather and have a great weekend Eleni! God Bless!
Chart cds from 1990-2005 are different from catalog, imports, and classic rock, soul, or jazz. Most cds in that peak era are $1-3 but if you get out of music recorded in those 15 years, you'll find stuff that commands more money.
I enjoyed your video! I never stopped collecting cds. I also collect vinyl and cassettes but mostly cds. Its had to find used vinyl that is not wore out and I won't pay the new vinyl prices. I found a Pioneer 100 disc changer at a yard sale for 10 bucks! It is in beautiful condition. Also found a Fisher dual cassette player/recorder at at thrift shop for a buck. I also love the Carpenters! I grew up listening to them and still listen to them today! Look forward to checking out more of your videos. New subscriber!
Glad you enjoyed the video! 10 bucks is an awesome price for 100 CD changer… I think Pioneer makes some pretty solid audio equipment. Thank you for subscribing. Have a fantastic weekend and God bless! 😊🙏
Good stuff. Was never into VH but I do like what I've heard of Mammoth which I believe is his son's band. I really need to get me some Social Distortion, my physical collection of punk in quite lacking and I'm big fan of the genre. Been putting in some online orders as I'm not patient enough to wait for that stuff to turn up at the thrift. Like to find me some more Moody Blues CDs, lots of great classic rock stuff you found there.
I mostly like the early VH with a little bit of the later stuff. Wolfgang is a very talented guitarist like his father. I can’t honestly say I given his band a good listen but I think I will now that you’ve endorsed him! It’s very rare that I see social distortion, and thrift shops, or even record stores. That’s why I buy it whenever I come across it even if I already have it 😂😂😂 Well, I hope you get your online order soon! Thanks for watching. Take care and God bless. 😊🙏
"Best of's" without any hits are issued by the earlier label that artist recorded for. They are capitalizing on their new found popularity. Remixes are very similar where known mix sometimes in the 90's doesn't make the album. It wasn't in existence when the album was made. Once the album circulated, other producers would often be brought in to give it a re-rub.
