When I was 6 years old I dropped Astrotrain behind my living room couch. My dad moved the furniture and disassembled the couch... No Astrotrain. I looked for years, no Astrotrain... This is still one of the great unsolved mysteries in my life. RIP Astrotrain 1986-1988

Funny, I had the same thing happen to my Mirage. I sent him down a slide at my local playground, came down the slide and he was GONE (of course, we lived in a bad neighborhood in Pittsburgh, so it was likely swipped by a passer by), I was heart broken!

I think they did a really great job, I had to take a moment just to really absorb how I would have received this figure as a kid in 1984. All I can say is we've come a long way, baby.

Glad you got a good copy. Mine came with the leg ratchet issue and lose R elbow. Still a great figure. Hope FT gives us a fix for these issues. At least for the knee ratchet.

The translucent plastic for the tracks could be that they’re intended as the phantom tracks Astrotrain might ride on in the cartoon.

As a math teacher who is doing remote learning, I LOOVVVEEEDD the skit. Thankfully, I feel that our school is doing it right and hasn't been too bad.

Amazing review! I can’t believe it took so long to get a good MP AstroTrain! He’s by far one of my favourite Decepticons and I’m glad FT does him justice. Not an easy feat considering he’s a triple changer. Now let’s hope we eventually get that FT BlitZWing and possibly an Octane.

The home-school skit brought back bad memories from the spring. Not my forte. So glad our infected numbers are low enough in Saskatchewan Canada that school is fully in. Any kid being home-schooled by me is going to have a disadvantage.

Just to give you fellas a heads up, who have or are getting this figure. It does have the toon shoulder pauldrons/wheels; you just gotta open him up at the head/back, and rotate them out. Great review, and a fresh change in background, Mr. Skullface.
EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention that Mr. Skullface points the pauldrons out about 10 minutes in if you guys need to know how to find them.

Honestly was planning on maybe getting this guy to go with my chug stuff. I’m out of MP and have been for awhile, especially after hasbro actually started to care about their transformers line. Fanstoys always produces A looking stuff and if the preorders weren’t so crazy I would’ve went in on him for my chug stuff. I’ve always liked astrotrain being huge anyways. But great review! That new back drop is looking sicccckkkkkk. Ever since you first showed it on Patreon I’ve been wondering which figure would show it off 😁 looks amazing

I have the Fancey Cell version of this guy, which looks very geeeeewooon. Smaller than this guy and not built of the highest quality materials, but that’ll be my stand in until I can find this guy without having to put a second mortgage on my house. Love the new background by the way.

It's a great figure, but he suffers from the same "No Neck Syndrome" that Hasbro's Siege Megatron also has. (pre-existing condition?). I also wish these figures came with more faces (can I get a smile? A mean face? An "Oh shit!" face?
Bruh hardly any tranformers have humanoid qualities to them to such a degree. Half a ball joint peg ain't a neck

Nice review. One time I really like the toon accuracy. Can you show him again when you put your reprolabels on him? Love the skit amde me laugh especially the password one given I did IT stuff prior and had to deal with that all the time....well except they were full grown adults....lol. Glad to see you didnt break anything. I love the track accessory. Wonder if they will make an accessory kit that includes all the characters that fit inside AT. Looking forward to their Berserker and hopefully their Octane, Broadside and Sandstorm. Funny enough my favorite Autobot was Sandstorm as all 3 of his modes were awesome.
