Nice review Bobby and congrats on the new Puppy! Megatron’s fusion cannon is unrelated to Outback. Brawn famously used it on Megatron during the Fire on the Mountain episode. Brawn “Now that was a Kick!” Since Outback was a pretty obscure character, I am pretty sure Fans Toys included the fusion cannon accessory with this to entice those on the fence about purchasing this to pull the trigger and buy it to complete the package for Brawn.
Not super excited about this one, but i Ordered him along with Hannibal, it is amazing to me that this dry spell almost lines up completely with the video game dry spell of summer. Almost 4 months of nothing semi-irresponsible to throw my money at.
I've seen other reviewers do this figure, seems the head problems is across the board. Sucks. I'm always amazed when something that's supposed to be masterpiece has these kinds of simple problems. Really sucks
Totally off topic, but I also have that Darth Toothpick..... although, wow, I did not pay US$200! Anyway, the issue with mine is that the hand needs to be tight to pull the toothpick out... so to speak! But this means that you need to give it a bit more force when you pull the level to lodge the toothpick in the hand with the swing in the first place. Its not consistent, but it works about 50% of the time with the right amount of power behind it.
As someone who also has a new puppy, I don't envy you having to potty train your dog. We went through that and she's finally learned but it seemed to take forever...and I'm impatient and hate it when animals do their business in my house! Cool review BTW

I thought he had blue windows? Maybe that was a preproduction... these look great. I don't know why I want these minis (or at least that's what I call them) Pretty much my collection ends right up to Unicron. But I feel the need to pick up a few others... Predaking/Skylinx and these small bots. Perhaps because he isn't as near and dear I'm ok with the lack of detail in vehicle mode? But you are absolutely correct, a bit bland and surprised they didn't get him to pop a bit more. Great review!

The head kiiiinda has a swivel. I took mine apart and there is a screw holding the neck post to the collar. It can be loosened, but even afterwards there's not much room to turn.
Certainly not a character that is nom most peoples radar to get in figure form. A good use of the hunk mould well remoulded with unique details familiar T the character. My connection to this Outback was he was one of only three mini bots I had as a kid, so I have ordered him. Agreed the paint sculpt presence of the figure shine through but it lacks the articulation but so does hunk so I’m not surprised, though the articulation of the head just sucks, hopefully with a turn of the screw it will loosen for more articulation. I’m also not a fan of the line gap in the shins it’s more present on Aussies I think due to the light brown paint compared to hunk, the green paint hides the gap line better. Good accessories though a little limited maybe another face plate sculpt but the Megatron gun will be shouldered by Hunk for display.. Let’s hope with new mould figure on the way articulation is improved. Good review all round. Cheers Bobby.
Good review. I think it's a fair accessment of the figure. I feel the headsculpt is kind of a miss for this figure. I dunno, it just seems off to me more than I would expect. I assumed the Cannon is for their version of Brawn as I don't remember Outback actually handling Megatron's cannon. When you compared the FT with the BC one, the BC one color looks so much different. I can't tell if that's the lighting or if there really is that much of a difference in hue? I almost choked when you said the price tag of the Vader Toothpick dispenser. Please tell me he did not spend $200 on that! I thought it was $50 max from what I found. Are you going to do a versus against the Bad Cube version? Curious since you did one with the Brawn figure I think. Looking forward to the next bunch of figures Robert D buys you get to review...lol. Congrats on the new puppy. Super Adorable! ❤

I feel like this figure is getting a few passes on what would be real issues with other companies. Like lukewarm criticism of this figure, but with other companies would be more pronounced issues. Also, other companies have given more decent articulation for figures of this scale/size. Maybe I'm wrong, but this seemed like flaccid criticism of a bot costing over $100. Alt mode looks great, the colors are a bit subjective, but the overall figure is fine. The floppiness and price aren't enough for me to warrant swapping out my BC. Love seeing the pup, and someone needs to talk to Robert D about making better financial choices, lol!

I just don't care for this mould. I think it's one of FansToys' most half-assed designs. I think the Outback version looks better, and I really wanted to like it, but it doesn't look great, especially as a vehicle. Either way, I hope someone else makes Brawn and Outback, because these are disappointing. Paint chipping is a serious issue with FansToys, especially recently, and the vehicles have got pretty half-assed too. It doesn't make me comfortable buying their products when every single one I get has paint chipping out of the box, let alone after doing anything with it. Their customer support has gone from good to almost non-existent, which just makes things worse.
OMG Bobby, baby girl is absolutely GORGEOUS! Is she a PitBully? "half pit, half american bully" Here's my girl Miracle. She's almost 3 now, and spoiled a$$ rotten lol. She's a PitBully, is why I ask. I didn't get a very good view of lil taz there, but kinda looks like it. Miracle is 55lb, and about 97% muscle, and 3% bone, skin, organs, etc lmao. Absolutely without a doubt the strongest dog I've ever had. That's a bold statement given my 202lb Malamute, and 150lb big boned white shepherd. Her lil butt is stronger.. I like how every reviewer is putting the hips in the wrong position to get any forward or back hip movement and then not mentioning it.
