Have you ever wondered if you can get a dangerously DIRTY surface so clean that you can eat off of it? We’re the silly guys that tried to test this out and it could have ended us. This is an EXTREME Bathroom deep cleaning video, to a cellular level. You’re not going to see a more satisfying clean, with a satisfying end result. We’ve noticed some comments that are putting Angel in a negative light, for added context. She had just moved in, so she didn’t contribute to the mess in bathroom, on top of that she wanted to clean it too, and offered to do that! We said no because we wanted to film it. Angel, really is an Angel, so we don’t appreciate any negative comments about her. We removed some of the context to make the video quicker to the point, so it’s our fault for any miscommunications. You say in the video to add vinager to baking so to make it desinfectant at 5:07. This is false. People often use basing soda to clean witch is a base, for example can be used to desenfect vegetables. Vinigar is an acid and can be used to desinfect vegetables. So people think lets mix the two. Well vinigar is acid and baking soda is a base. When you mix acide with a base you get water.

My favourite thing about your videos is how much your friendship seems to come through. You two feel like you genuinely enjoy each other's company and are having fun doing these things together. Might sound like a small or obvious thing but translating that authentic feeling is hard to learn and you two got it right from the get go.

Hey guys, I'm a microbiologist as well and I must say that your wish to have a sterile bathroom is never going to happen. Sorry. There are loads of fungal spores in the air that will grow in your plates, that is not even counting the bacterial/fungal cells that are inherently in your skins and organisms as humans. So, for example, every time you use the toilet, even with a closed lid, you are still going to be spreading these microbes around. Same with showering. The best thing to do is to just consistently keep things clean and accept that 100% sterilization is not going to happen - and in fact is sometimes not even that good anyway. Healthy bacteria are a thing.
This ^^ I once had to do a couple month long lab experiment that involved growing a lot of bacteria on agar and the amount of random contamination from fungal spores permanently changed my view on how possible it really is for something to be truly “clean”. And that was in a lab setting, not a bathroom which has to be the worst place imaginable to try to keep sterile 😭

Agreed. I'd also like to mention that mixing baking soda and vinegar makes water. It is not a sterilization technique. Use one or the other. Vinegar needs to be diluted though.

Post per year is extremely low but the quality is pretty good having 250k+ on a channel with only three videos is solid. If they can manage to keep quality and post more often they would hit a million pretty quickly I'd reckon but RUclips very much is a site that promotes and encourages consistent posting and most people won't subscribe if a channel doesn't have enough videos in the backlog to watch
The editing is crazy

Hot tip: the best way to label agar plates is on the bottom, not on the lid. That way the plate can be recognized if lids get switched up or lost.

Great video boys! So worth the wait! Also as a microbiologist, dont let the agar plates freak you out too much. Theres bacteria literally almost everywhere, and its a fools errand to attempt sterility and keep it there.

@@foon400 yeah 💀 I taught a class and we'd go through the plates first and toss the "scary" ones, and the students weren't allowed to open some of them. Had to have gloves and a bunsen burner/hood in order to stay safe
@@sydneys2859 we had them taped shut after applying -the danger- and strict regulations regarding what we could even use as samples, all supervised lul it's so weird to see it just not be common practice, like no hate it's their lungs ig💀💀
