- What better way is there to celebrate your birthday, than in the woods? In this video I set out solo for a few days on the beautiful Long Lake here in the Adirondacks, before being joined by my buddy Zeke for the last few nights. The Pike bite was not as hot as I originally hoped it would be, but we still got into a few nice Northerns and a slew of Large and Smallmouth Bass. Filmed September 2023.

Nice. I’ve done a lot of canoeing in my 20s back in the day up your way trout fishing in all kinds of different weather for sure every spring. 52 now and work way too much watching these videos on my breaks. Just ordered one of those mule coolers and I’m going do my first solo trip this spring. ❤ 🏕️ 🎣. Blessed buddy 👍🏻

Dude we were just talking about going up the Cold river in Rondeau territory and seeing what the lean too was all about. We will be there in July for 5 days.
I definitely want to get up into that area with my fly rod this year, get a bit of practice casting at the very least!

So far checked out paradox lake, trout lake, luzerne, Fourth Lake, glenlake and did some island camping on LG. So much beautiful scenery and cool lakes up here to explore.
