This is not anybody VERSUS anybody; rather, two guitar masters blending their talents. Thanks for posting this! My favorite Gary Clark Jr. song, and two of my favorite blues players.
I saw both of these great artists at the Blue Note in Columbia, MO and I have to say the energy in the crowd when Gary played was smokin'!!! No one can compare to his riffs and although there was standing room only when he played, I danced my ass off!
Love the 3 minute Solo. Like how they are simultaneously blended together and reacting a climax at 9:30 mark, then Samantha adds little lift at 9:46 my favorite part of the whole song.
@@MiaFantastic Samantha has often mentioned her guitar heroes in interviews; she indeed gives credit to them, and I have done so in other places, too. Seems like you are expecting some litany of artists every time someone mentions a great player. If you are so concerned about who has shaped her guitar playing, perhaps you could do some research and make your own fact-based list of people who have influenced her.
Wow….maybe I am feeling overly emotional tonight, but that solo @ 7:30, brought tears to my eyes. It’s been a while since I FELT music in that way, and I am really happy that I stumbled into this video.
Man that was epic I wish I was there to witness these two extraordinary musicians of my time it was like Hendrix and stevie ray vaughn blessed these two with there spirit
Just gotta love that Gibson guitar scream when someone plays it that way. Samantha Fish is just awesome, Gary Clark Jr. can roll off a note or two as well. Man alive wish I had been there for that performance...
Although Orianthi might be even better technically, my favorite woman guitar player must be Samantha. She hits it like she means it. She is not legato touching over strings to achieve speed. She makes every note heard and meaning something. She speaks and sings with her guitar. Well she is awesome.
Orianthi is brilliant and I love her, but Samantha is my absolute favourite, as along with her fantastic playing skills she is always a tour de force with a commanding stage presence. She also has an amazing voice! She is one of very few who can play and sing at that level. Samantha is undoubtedly one of the greatest rock/soul/blues artists of all time!!
@@macmclemore Samantha has Marilyn Monroe type of beauty. Though I wouldn't say no to Orianthi either. Woman player man I would marry her directly 😀 Would make her an signature amp to 😀
@@macmclemore Samantha is gorgeous with legs to match, I agree, but you're being unduly harsh regarding Orianthi's looks. In her 20's Orianthi was very good looking and is still attractive, but remember she is now 37, as opposed to Samantha's 33 years. Not sure what you mean by 'sad clown', btw, Orianthi is always upbeat and smiling in all the videos I've seen of her.
I would love to have seen this live. The lightshows at Gary Clark Jr.'s show are incredible. And these are two forces of nature, personalities, and performers smashing it for our auditory and sensory pleasure.
2 of my absolute faves right there,,, what a warm up Gary did for the intro showing a fabulous mastery of the guitar pretty intimidating to come on stage after that for sure,,, Samantha is all heart,,, awesome
Anyone making a negative comment about these guys a musician. I didn’t think so. If you were you would chill out and enjoy the music. The sound quality on this terrible. That’s the problem, not the playing.
Let me slide and say that Yes Gary Clark Jr. and Ms. Samantha Fish was TURNING IT OUT but they both are two tough guitarist and singers!. BUT you've got to give it Up for my Brother King Zapata with his Squash Necklace and his Cool persona was on point!. That brother when he turns it on it will give you chills!!! I saw them Live and he was eating that guitar up!!! But they blended so good together!!!
Tuff call on that one Ninewalking. I've seen Samatha Fish 3 times and she just keeps getting better. To me Fish is right there in your face. Orianthi the one time I saw her felt like a programmed act.
Wouaaaah ! Wouaaaah ! Wouaaaah ❤❤❤ !!!
Samantha is incredible when she’s jamming. She always jams this way whether she’s warming up or headlining and she’s been jamming this way for over 10 years. No rehearsing required for her, she’s very intuitive.
Samantha has really stepped her rock guitar game in the past few years - that's full old school rock & roll tearing it up right there, Sam. Brilliant.
This is not anybody VERSUS anybody; rather, two guitar masters blending their talents. Thanks for posting this! My favorite Gary Clark Jr. song, and two of my favorite blues players.
This^
Clark, Fish, and Zappata on one stage? What a treat!
all these posts of "these two" , he was kicking azz too!

I'v heard many Guitarsolos in my Life, but this one from Samantha is one of the best. Outstanding.
Love the 3 minute Solo. Like how they are simultaneously blended together and reacting a climax at 9:30 mark, then Samantha adds little lift at 9:46 my favorite part of the whole song.
Love Samantha's solos; she is a master at building tension and excitement, taking the crowd on a journey with her.
Oh the art handed down to her by the other people yall do not give credit too as being masters too. Yeah we get it

@@ldfrench1 I was not speaking about her. I said Ya'll not her.......lol pay attention. People think SRV invented the blues lol it was a comment dude
@@MiaFantastic Pay attention yourself! You did reference "her" in your comment. Write more carefully, dude.
@@ldfrench1 I actually adore Samatha and am a huge fan. You have a desire to twist things into something dramatic
My two favorite living blues guitarists sharing the stage? I've died and gone to blues heaven!
9:51
I have seen them both in concert and well hard to say. Dang. Both shows were absolutely phenomenal.
Besides the obvious, what I love about this video is the respect being shown between Gary and Samantha of each others talent!!
Yeah Baby!!!! This is what music is all about! Pure raw passion, just letting go and leaving it all on the stage! Love it! very inspiring!
This is a hypnotic onslaught of awesomeness.

Possibly, the best I have seen/heard. I now know who Samantha Fish is - thank you!
This is epic...Samantha showed her chops...rock on !!!!
Both these 🎨 are great American treasures
Stunning clip-thanks for sharing! I love how the egos were left off stage and everybody's having such fun.

Samantha Fish is an incredible guitarist!

Thank you for posting this!
OMG! Doesn't get much better than this!
Köszi, hogy felvetted, életem talán legjobb koncertje volt.
Ya don't see something like this every day. Wow!
Just fantastic, my two faves together. The intro guitar chords made its way into the song “Habits”. Thank you for posting.
Also 2 of my very favorite blues guitarists
what an intro Garys taking some classic guitar lessons well done
Wowww!!! What an amazing moment! 🔥🔥🔥
Breathtaking!!!
She's not trying, she's just doing & Yoda would be proud!
Unbelievable. I love this , thank you.
That didn't look like a battle. Just two friends playing off each other, and it was awesome!
Thanks
Samantha Fish tore that shit up! Damn! You go girl
Holy shit, this is 🔥
I thought the drummer, bass player and other unmentioned guitarist were the only two playing music. The light show was great!!
I'm a fan of female musicians like Samatha, Orianthi, and many more.
Anyone making a negative comment about these guys a musician. I didn’t think so. If you were you would chill out and enjoy the music. The sound quality on this terrible. That’s the problem, not the playing.

Really. Check out his song "bright lights".
Honestly check out his whole discography...not a single dull moment.

Saw Samantha Sunday night in Buffalo.WOW. FANTASTIC

Samantha is definitly arrived in the Guitar Olymp. Amazing Solo of Both.
Epic! 💥
This is two masters showing their art, I love it ! !
Oh wow man! That blew my mind. I wish they'd clean up the audio a bit though.
A lot of phone mics can't handle the volume that close to the stage. Better sound away from stage about 1/5th of room depth.
Zapata is always the correct answer. 😀
She blew the doors off that place
Love Gary Clark Jr. Like no other. He has it all and I would love to see him 💕 in person

Sheer groove thrill, Epic!
Amazing jam!
I've heard of and listened to Samantha Fish but never knew of Gary Clark Jr.. I like his blues voice! Yeah, I like the sound. Great guitar player too.
That was rather good!
that was fired up hot as hell
Two of the greatest blues guitarists alive today. Wish I had her vibrato technique, friggin' amazing.
BB KING!

I do love Samantha, hardest worker in the business. But damn, the next Jeff Beck is not out there I'm afraid. RIP Jeff.
Gary told the Hungarian fans, he was bring them a gift from America, Samantha Fish.
Schade um die schlechte Ton-Qualität-hätte ein schönes Ereignis sein können !
Killer tones
Lighting guy, as the song starts: "Let's find out how many people in the audience have epilepsy..."
Lol, I also thought the lighting was too much. With guitarists like Samantha and Gary Clark Jr. you don't need all those effects!
Guess He got carried away.
Incrível explosivo Bombástico
Fire!
"Winner is the audience", indeed!
very tasteful soloing by Samantha Fish; loved their interplay
The winner is the audience. Whom am i to judge. thanks for posting
Bombastic❤
Is the start any song from him??
Plz help
Love em both to the highest , but got into some boring solos 2/3 's in ,What do you think?
Friken AWESOME
Did someone forget to mix in the bass?
PHENOMENAL! IDK if she rehearsed with Gary or not, but Sammi girl just CRUSHED it right there! F*CKIN A !!!
She ALWAYS crushes it! 🎸🎶👠

You spelled Samanthas name wrong in the title
🤯 🔥
She has great phrasing. I hear wisps of Gilmour in there.
Ohh..de nagy volt!!! Szuper h nem hagytuk ki!
