My only problem with the socom is it's iron sights. The sights themselves are great, but for me atleast and my father and his buddy, we really have to push out cheek own on the stock to be able to see out of the sights (because they are pretty low) and so after a while your cheek bone starts to really hurt. Cheek hurt for a good day or two afterwards until we got a over action sight like this one in the video and it negates like 100% of that pain. Real real fun to shoot, absolutely love it

Heck yeah man I would love to see you shoot 1000 or 800 yards with this. Nobody has uploaded a video shooting the distances with this rifle.

Can u do a comparison between the SOCOM vs Squad in one video doing a side by side review of the two shooting long distances? No video of this exists on RUclips and I have no idea why!

Do they make a scout scope and mount you can use venom and add and remove the scout scope?

Did you have to make any adjustments to the red dot sights elevation?

Why not use the manufactured top rail on the rifle for the optics and co-witness it to the iron sights ?

Because the iron sights suck. Front sight is thicker than a kindergarten pencil...

How reliable this rifle is? Put it in dirt , water , sand? Can it take any ammo from cheap to expensive?

Very reliable. Can eat any ammo. Cheap knock-off magazines are the only problems I’ve ever had with it. M14s have their issues with dirt and sand, but are still resilient guns for the most part.

Springfield did a really shitty job at designing that variant. There are 100 different options they could have chosen for a telescopic stock and they just pasted on some AR crap to make this ugly, disfigured, Frankenstein monster. Couple that with the lack of co-wittness with your red dot and this thing isn't a good choice for cqb.
