I see the Aligned Continuity as just a bunch of universes that loosely follow Hasbro’s lore bible at the time. The only stuff that definitively share the same universe are Prime and RID
" When RID Grimlock appeared in Rescue Bots Academy, his backstory was fleshed out further, revealing that he previously went by the name Steelwall before he went by Grimlock, distinguishing him from the other Grimlock (WFC) even more." SO YEAH. THERE ARE TWO GRIMLOCKS.
@legotaku_yt1108, yeah I heard that the Grimlock in RID (2015) was just another Dinobot who took the original’s name due to his reputation and seeing the same traits in himself. The Sideswipe in the show was also either thought to be a descendant of the one in the games or just a young bot who looked up to him or something? Apparently his name was gonna be Fastline or lane in the earlier drafts.
Yeah, I may not have seen RID, but even I know that the Grimlock from the games & the Grimlock are separate people that just share the same name established in the show itself. Yeah, it was probably done because the show crew wanted to create a new character, but Age of Extinction was coming out resulting in corporate higher ups demanding Grimlock to be a thing in the show, so they resorted to separate characters with that share a name. Weird how Perspective has a problem with that while he's fine with Optimus Prime and Primal being a thing.
I’d agree that Aligned Continuity was a mistake in terms of consistency but not in actual enjoyment and media (excluding RID-2015). The games were amazing, Prime & Rescue Bots were awesome and the novels had loads of interesting lore.
i would describe the best of aligned as a good jumping-off point for transformers like there's a reason so many people start with either transformers prime or the highmoon games they don't have THE BEST storytelling in transformers (that would be beast wars), nor do they reinvent the characters in the most interesting way (animated), and they DEFINITELY don't win in terms of being nostalgic and memorable (the unicron trilogy) but all those things are done well enough that anyone can find something they like unfortunately that kinda means nothing really rises above the norm of 7/10
@@gmdexcillion3521nostalgic and memorable is a very generationally based category but I do see what you mean. I’m kind of weird because I grew up with most of the shows simultaneously thanks to RUclips while Prime and Rescue Bots were also airing, so my personal nostalgia is sort of widespread
@@gmdexcillion3521 I definitely agree that it's not the best in certain categories but it just do certain things to me better that put it for more like an 8 or 9 it has one of the best human characters agent fowler, Optimus is one of the best updated versions of him Arcee is one of the best versions of herself and Dreadwing is amazing the voice acting is fantastic & I think this Megatron design is nearly the Perfect Blend of movie and G1
For better or worse ,the only thing this continuity achieved Was establishing a new backstory for the setting that virtuelly all following continuities would use
yeah the issue is that the version of the backstory it normalised is utter shit. The idea they were built by the quintessons is so much cooler and makes so much more sense. Primus and the 13 primes are just infuriatingly boring
@ good thing im of the complete opposite opinion, when i hear quinteson i think of the 5 faced egg heads, and whenever i remeber that they made the transformers, i laugh my ass of😂
@@chheinrich8486 They're not just that though are they? the idea the transformers were made by a god that became their planet is inherently fucking boring. being built by a superior alien race who they subsequently rebelled against is a far more interesting story
@ did you forget that the backstory i told you about includes the quintesons, they didn’t built the transformers but they conquered them early in their history and then the transformers rebelled, its all their just not the „creating“ part😁
perspective end has some balls of steel to drop hot takes like this knowing baseline transformers fans are coming at him for it. Respect also love that mechanized look
Transformers RID is pretty much just Child Boot camp catching Robot Animals and a dude in a furry suit. Who's accompanied by some Robot dude who's dumb as fuck
i just hate how they just cant decide the true story, like, in wfc optimus rejected being a prime, while the council said "bro, how humble" and only after primus said "my man, u are a prime" is when optimus accept to be a prime, but in tf prime ratchet was like "nah its like g1 you need to earn the matrix to be a prime"
Wait- HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 20K SUBSCRIBERS?! You’re probably my favorite transformers RUclipsr right now so this is blowing my mind! I thought you AT LEAST had the silver play button!!
Really? You never noticed the Sub Count. Yeah As much as I wish I could hit that silver, at the rate I've been going, that's like 20 years or so away. But I'm glad that you appreciate what I do here so much.
I do think that the novels actually do touch on that issue? Like he just in time caught up with the other Decepticons before departing from Cybertron and begged to rejoin, that is from what I can remember anyway?
@ yeah no worries! No ill will towards you at all. It IS a messy continuity. I think people underrate how much Rescue Bots Academy tried to mend it but it’s still a mess
It will always be funny to me that my dear kindergarten show rescue bots is in the same timeline as prime were everyone is extremely depressed (also it always annoyed me that there were four other autobots on earth and optimus prime was never like hey should we get them to help out in the war)
Well the rescue boys said they were happy to fight but prime wanted to keep the rescue bots alive probably for when cybertron can be restored, although they never went back due to either government corruption leading to them not finding out or optimus not wanting to break up the bond between them and the burns family. Pre RID there were 11ish non combat autobots and a minicon on earth. He said he had plans for salvage and blurr which turned out to be training some new recruits with hightide who would have been a valuable asset to combat woth his titan form but would have only burdened the autobots with his aquatic vehicle modes and high energon consumption
@@bobthebusbuilder2478 plus salvage and blurr were like cybertronian civilians they weren't made for rescue/war and I don't think they want to fight there like if Jetfire and Starscream were BOTH frozen in the ice
Congrats on 20k subs, you absolutely deserve them and way way more! Man seeing the text not moving on the old logo DESTROYED MY BRAIN. I've gotten used to it spinning so much that I could almost see the text BARELY, SLOWLY spin for some reason even though it didn't 😭
Transformers: Go is basically 'What if we took a story about Samurai and Ninja Autobots fighting Demons while time-travelling to decide the fate of Feudal Japan, but made it boring, lame, and the animators forgot to have the characters' mouths move while they talk'. Also, in the second episode, they made my boy Benkei a crybaby because...I don't know why.
the go series is basically everything the fandom hates about the japanese G1 continuity taken up to eleven like nothing ever really happens, the characters are OP without being fleshed out, the plot is so not-there that the final episodes of the two "volumes" are literally identical to each other minus the characters being swapped out and get this the animation is stiff and expressionless because they blew the budget on making the transformation sequences as unnecessarily extravagant as humanly possible if perspective one day decides to make a video ripping apart a particular transformers anime i hope it's that one
Listen as much as Go was faulty for a few things, I think people’s first mistake was putting it on the same level as the Shakespearean epic lore-tier Transformers Prime when ultimately Go was a mini series that came from pack-in DVDs exclusive to Japanese kids magazines, to sell toys to around 8 year old boys. Go and Prime are on extremely different levels
Congratulations on 20K subscribers, PerspectiveEnd! While I can see an attempt at making the Aligned Continuity all these individual stories as all part of one overlapping arc, in my experience having only played the WFC games and watching the Prime show, I think they are better off in their own universes with their own sequels and such. I feel that there is enough stuff in one story that contradicts what happens in another if everything was connected, and even vice versa. Ultimately, I feel that the drive to make everything in the continuity line up as one coherent story is what led to the divide in the fandom of how everything connects and how everything doesn't. More power to those of you who do look at everything being connected, but even if mistake isn't the word I'd use, I somewhat agree here.
Congrats on 20 000 and here's to 20 000 more in the new year. I literally had no idea there was even an Aligned Continuity as I dropped off and went into hiatus shortly after Prime ended. Only played the Cybertron games years later as I didn't even own a PS3 to play them on. Until now I always though each show was pretty much it's own attempt to appeal to a younger demographic and sell more kid friendly toys than the ongoing Chug lines. It's hilarious to think a continuity between any of these shows and characters would be attempted. Even the Unicron Trilogy is a bit of a stretch as the only real consistency between the three shows were some of the characters.
I would kill to hit 40K next year. Oh yeah, the aligned continuity is weird, technically Rescuebots is part of it, and some how it all started with the WFC games. Absolutely insane line up of series there.
Something I absolutely love about Perspective is that no matter if you agree with his opinions, or think he leans too far into the rants, or whatever other complaints people have, you can just feel the energy of a really genuine dude that cares a LOT about his videos and adores his audience radiating the entire time a video is on
I can't tell you how much I'd have slowed down on making the videos at this point, if I didn't feel like I would be failing you guys. You all deserve to have videos multiple times a week.
Aligned may make no sense and tends to be mediocre at best… but it has that one episode of Prime where Knockout and Starscream try and survive a zombie outbreak, so I can’t hate on it *that* much.
That was imho the last GREAT episode of TF Prime. I hate how immediately after that they realized they only had 13 episodes to conclude the plot and just killed off all the other Predacons before we could even see them in action. I mean the season is literally called BEAST HUNTERS and the only hunt ONE beast?
It will never not amaze me how the Unicron Trilogy feels more connected than the Aligned Continuity when the last entry was literally a completely unconnected series that was redubbed to fit into the story. Also, if you see this. Don't ever worry about forgetting some of us, obviously some people might be in a bad place in their life, but its impossible to remember all 20,000 of us. Thanks for entertaining for this long, I can't wait to see what you do in the future.
You say that the aligned continuity has no great stories but the rescue bots' home turning into Angel Island from the sonic games and requiring the main 4 to sacrifice themselves to save their families and get the island back to its part in the ocean (even if their deaths were more putting them into comas for a few hours)
I think that the difference between Rescue Bots and RID2015 is crazy. One is peak television, masterfully written, and incredible for all ages. The other is the dookie garbage trash that is RID2015.
When I first saw you, I thought the P-E in your logo were tiny lil limbs on a body that's all head. Like if Igor was shaped like the con insignia. Like static A-Pose arms in a mid running pose. As for the video, I think they were trying to get into the comics hype by making a multi-part universe as watchable content but failed so horribly. But it ended up having rescue bots being one of the top 3 of all this. I think is adorable and down to earth as opposed to the world threatening conflict of the others
I try to ignore different voice actors and art styles across the different media. And interpret it as on paper some things can connect, but that doesn’t account for the many plot holes
@@PerspectiveEndIt’s even funnier that according to Ask Vector Prime, the events of Rise of the dark spark caused the entire cluster of aligned continuity universes to destabilize and start mixing with other universes to become a mess. Conclusion: it’s all rise of the dark sparks fault.
BRO 1) the naming of Fall of Cybertron comes from the fact Autobots ARE TRYING TO LEAVE IT 2) proper comparison of energon and dark energon would be like helium and hydrogen in zeppelins, one is safe to use and another if even slightly unstable can blow entire spaceships apart 3) Grimlock and Bruticus sections not fun? they're used as a breakup from the endless shooting, is your definition of fun "doing the same thing over and over"? 4) and if you say Devastation is a better game then these two then idk what to tell ya considering it's just a worse MGR:R 5) RiD15 Grimlock IS NEVER SAID TO BE THE SAME GRIMLOCK AS THE ONE FROM DINOBOTS, he takes the name akin to Beast Wars Megatron, by your logic both G1 and BW Megatrons are the same guy 6) I don't get how you can skimp over Metroplex's sacrifice from FoC, how can you forget it, have you even played the game?
1 But it already Fell. That's a thing that already happened. 2 Except Dark Energon Summons death Crystals. 3 They break that up, at the END of the game with even more monotonous gameplay. They are slow, their attacks have too much wind up, the animations are overly done, and canned so they are too clearly the same ones over and over(Grimlock stabbing a dude 10 times with a sword bigger than they are looks stupid.), and nothing is a threat to you. I play games to be challenged, not watch extremely long boring cutscenes. 4 Devastation is WAY better than the other two. And even if you do count it as worse MGR then it's still better. The gameplay is more complex, the challenge is higher, and the Transformations are far better Utilized. WFC/FOC are generic third person shooters with a LIGHT transformers coat of paint mechanically, Devastation takes full advantage of the transforming at all times in all fights. 5 Sure they never say that it's the same same dude, but these guys would be alive at the same time, and he is meant to be a draw because "Hey this show has Grimlock". 6 because it's not Impactful. Metroplex is cool and all, but barely a character, and it's not just me who doesn't talk about that. Everyone talks about Code of Hero, Everyone Talks about Starscreams Sacrifice. Hell way more people talk about the Death of Cliffjumper than they do Metroplex. I've literally never heard a single person mention that moment. I almost forgot that it happened because no one but you has ever brought it up. And yes I played the games. A decade ago now, but I did play them.
Im glad to see you reach 20k, i started watching your channel in the roasting prime video, i really liked that video and ive seen every one you’ve uploaded since
I hate how the Aligned Continuity established a formula that new pieces of media in the franchise keep falling back on instead of making new lore like the olden days. I missed when every TF series had at least a few nuggets of lore/story that made it different from what came before and what came later.
Congrats on 20k Jake. Ur probaply my favorite youtuber for a myriad of reasons i will not specify cuz id be here all day. Keep up the great work and heres to 20k more!
I think the early alligned stuff. The high moon games, the books, and prime can be considered megatrons story, but only somewhat and none of the shows after that are based on that or even the aftermath of that
As a kid, I never actually believed there was an aligned continuity. Transformers Prime and RID15 were clearly in the same universe, same goes to Rescue Bots and it’s sequel, and vice versa for the Cybertron games. It’s clear they were never meant to be in the same universes at all, as that’s not what the writers for each of them intended. It seems like long before the MCU caused studios to have their shared universe, Hasbro was ahead of the game by wanting to have their own shared universe of Transformers content, but decided to put 3 unrelated shows and 2 unrelated games in their own shared universe.
I mean kid you was right. They can claim it all they want but clearly none of this was intended to go together. It's truly hilarious how the only company to ever do this half way right since 2008 was Marvel, and every one else has completely failed.
@@PerspectiveEndI was going to correct you on the Marvel part and point out how hardly current MCU is fumbling as well as issues the MCU kinda had for quite a while, but I noticed that you said half-right. Also, I was also going to mention the Monsterverse and I do quite enjoy it, but there are quite some issues with how the Cinematic Multi-Media Universe thing was handled there as well. There also have quite actually been other far older cases of ginormous universes and continuiyies but they almost all either are not exactly like the MCU or they too have fumbled at one point or another. A special shoutout goes to to the first 3/5 of the OG Toho Kaiju Cinematic Universe for creating the skeleton of a formula that I hope the Monsterverse follows a bit more moving forward.
@PerspectiveEnd Maybe it was. I believe I remember you talking about trying to get to 10K before the summer was over. Perhaps I was subbed longer and just can't remember.
There are just three things to remember about the Aligned universe: The Aligned continuity failed because the creators on Prime refused to play ball with anyone else. WFC/FOC are the best media, while Rescue Bots and RBA are the best shows. And RID 2015 is over hated, while Prime is over-hyped.
Even when I was a child I knew this "continuity" wasn't even connected at all The best thing I could describe this "continuity" is Manny's blanket from the DOWAK series
I feel like the Aligned Continuity could’ve focused on Dark Energon. The books could’ve been about the history of Dark Energon and how it was discovered. FOC just needed more Dark Energon. RID 2015 could be about Shockwave creating more Dark Energon and that is slowly killing Earth
I know you don’t watch rescue bots because you don’t wanna get caught lacking watching a baby show, rescue bots does have some of the best examples of continuity but also doesn’t align well too😅
You always do great work and I'm very proud to be the 10th person, or at least on the list you could had more, to be a patreon subscriber. I always love your work even if I don't comment or like or any of that crap. But I always watch your videos. Congratulations man, you've earned it!
I think the biggest problem with the aligned continuity is that everyone wanted to do their own thing not burdened by anyone else. War For and Fall of Cybertron by Highmoon Studios wanted to have a new more 2010's take on the original G1 continuity. Had the High Moon games continued after Fall of Cybertron, I can honestly imagine them recreating stuff from G1 with their own spin on it. With how much of a fan they all were, along with the general resergence in G1 it felt like during the 2000's and early 2010's. From what I remember hearing the people behind Prime knew they were supposed to be connected with the High Moon Games, but didn't care and wanted to do their own thing. Though I could very much have made that up, I remember hearing about it. Regardless, Prime clearly takes far more inspiration from the movies rather than G1. They are far more focused Movie's more "realistic" feel with "deeper" characters. Though I would argue that Highmoon Did a better job with it's characters. Rise of the Dark Spark is nothing more than Activision being greedy. High Moon wanted to make transformers games, but with Activision firing 40 High Moon employees following their Deadpool game and wanting High Moon to work on CoD: Advanced Warfare instead, it left the door open for someone else to work on it. That being Edge of Reality for the Console and PC versions, a company whose line of of Games include, Shark Tale for 6th Gen consoles, the "amazing" Over the Hedge for PS2, and Loadout, which apparently a lot of people like, which is an MMO 3rd Person Shooter. I have 1 thing to say about Rise of the Dark Spark, and that's not appropriate. It was the first Transformers game I played on console after watching countless videos of the War For Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron games. Looking at all of the cool stuff that people with PS3's and Xbox 360's could play, while I only had a Wii and then a Wii U. So all the while I was watching all this fun stuff with the multiplayer modes, of the horde survival mode of War for Cybertron, or all of the Customization in Fall of Cybertron. I wanted to play these games so badly yet they were just out of reach. So when Rise of the Dark Spark was announced I was estatic, finally a War for Cybertron style game coming to a console that I actually own, maybe they'll eventually port the other two to Wii U. So I booted up the game and to my surprise, it had no multiplayer game modes at all on Wii U, I thought maybe you unlock the multiplayer after beating the story, which meant I had to actually play the dame game. And wow, I initially was like, wow it's so cool I get to play a High Moon game, So I got past the first level. Also in Rise of the Dark Spark, every character has their own unique ability they can use, Drift for example can teleport around and kill any enemy close to him, Shockwave could make little drones around him. I don't remember the rest. But then I got to the Cybertron portion of the game, and cool I get to play as Shockwave, only to realize, wait this feels like shit. The Cybertron story is an inbetweenqule to the High Moon games, it is also the first time Dark Energon works like how it does in Prime. Also it mentions Galvatron as a separate person to Megatron in the audio logs. Anyways, I am not going to go over my terrible experience of playing this game. Beyond, wow, what else are they going to do, and oh boy, two different Grimlock levels, and a whole Bruticus level, which somehow play the best out of any of the other characters in the game. Though I remember the Grimlock levels killing me a lot. So after I beat the game, I wanted to return it. Gamestop said best I can do for this full price $60 game that just came out was $5, or you get your money back if you have the receipt. We come back with the Receipt "sorry we can't accept that receipt." So instead we just kept the game, untill I pawned it off to my younger cousin who also had a Wii U. Fun fact, this is the only other Activision game that cane to Japan, aside from the 2007 Movie tie in game. Meaning Japanese Transformers fans can't play either of the High Moon games in their own language despite Takara being in control of half the brand. So that's shitty. Also Transformers Go, was made by Takara, because after 1 thing that was part of the Aligned Continuity coming to Japan (that beign Prime), Takara immediately made their own Japanese Aligned Continuity. Making the Alighed Continuity's goal even more of a failure. After Prine was done I kind of lost interest in the Continuity, as RiD2015 seemed worse than RiD2001, which I could watch whenever I wanted to on RUclips, opposed to trying to keep up with a new Show that is releasing a new episode every week and has multiple points when the show would just go on Hiatis, only to start up again.
Your right. The staff of tf prime didn't want to connect prime with aligned there was whole panel about it. Also they rejected trypticon being the nemesis as said by one of the writers.
This is 100% true, everyone making something under it almost kind of resented doing so. Which you kind of have to think makes them unfit to do that. Like what kind of idiot gets angry about having to make something within the continuity they were contracted to make something in. The people making Prime Specifically wanted to make a Bayverse show. Oh yeah, I've seen gameplay of Rise of the Dark Spark and it's so pathetic. Also insane that they thought they could make the Bayverse part of the Aligned Continuity like that. It feels like that always happens with Takara. How weird is it that Both RIDs are Bad Comedies.
I think there were elements of the aligned continuity that were cool. it was the first time hasbro tried to keep a consistent series going and not just everything that came before and starting over every couple years. However in execution it left a lot to be desired.
My annoyance with the Aligned continuity is how much of its lore carried over to later continuities. What if I don’t like the Thirteen Primes? Or the Decepticons' backstory? What if you’re one of the few fans who don’t like Primus and prefer the Quintesson origin, and every time you comment that on a Reddit thread about unpopular opinions, you get undownvoted? I don’t know if they'd make the version of Transformers that I'd prefer, but they don’t have to; they just have to be different from Aligned.
That's more of a you problem then anything The majority of the fans like all these things There's nothing wrong with feeling excluded, but when you are in a very very small minority of the fanbase, the chances of that changing are very very low It's like batman fans who prefer the campy 60s style or brave and the bold humor. They have a preference, but most people prefer dark and gritty, so dc makes dark and gritty to satisfy the majority
Congrats on reaching 20K subs PerspectiveEnd!!! I made my own fanfic that the reason for the blatant inconsistencies with the Aligned Continuity is that Unicron changed history every time he disliked how the story was ending. lol Keep on being amazing.
As much as I love rescue bots. I think it’s the reason for rid15’s existence, it got to popular and got seasons after prime and they didn’t know how to explain to the younger kids “hey Optimus is dead” so that’s why he got revived.
If someone were to make a custom figure with your logo as the face, what figure would you want used as basically the transformers version of you? I got inspired by the back kibble podcast thumbnails.
I'm so angry because of how RiD didn't even bring back any characters back from Prime other than the marketable ones. Ig we'll never know what happened to Jack or Arcee.
I'm cool with not knowing about the human characters. They were some of the worst parts of prime, but it would have been interesting to see what's up with Arcee.
I think the only way that one can wrap their head around the aligned continuity without going insane is by saying that all of the stories are in different universes within the Uniend cluster. The Uniend cluster is the official name for the universal cluster that the (mis)aligned continuity takes place in. So even if WFC and FOC didn't lead into TFP, events somewhat similar (but obviously still quite different) to those games may have. Overall, the idea of the aligned continuity was simply unabashedly unsustainable, and I think it was for the best that they ended up dropping the idea of a massive shared universe. Something I really like about this franchise is that there are so many different universes, so many different iterations of the story. I like that the lore of this franchise is somewhat malleable, it allows for more creative freedom to tell new compelling stories. Its how we get entires like Beast Wars, TFA, IDW, and most recently, Transformers One.
I don't think there's been anyone who's ever unironically thought of the aligned continuity as an actual continuity and not a lose saga that only Hasbro used as an actual term
Congratulations on 20k man! You deserve it and many more. And yes I 1000% agree the aligned continuity is a jumbled mess that makes the less sense then put in a screen door on a submarine. But I still have so much fondness and love for it because it's what got me back into transformers hard core(for better or worse) and without it I'd never find your channel and make so many new friends, so I'm glad it happened. Congrats again on 20k. Here's too 30k! P.s. fuck you bruticus and grimlocks missions are fucking peak.

I've been watching you since like the past 11 months and I'm very happy for you, congrats reaching 20k subs (one quick question though, are the two black triangle bits on the logo the eyes or the white thin triangle line on the bottom is the visor?)
The only reason war and fall of cybertron are the only aligned parts is literally because the pitch to Hasbro for the 2 games was a retelling of the frist episode of generation one but darker
Congrats on the channel milestone! I'm only a recent subscriber but I enjoy your videos, it's nice to hear other perspectives on things that most people all have the same opinion of. Side note, is it bad that finding out you were an edgy child is one of the least surprising things I've ever heard? Heh!
I'm proud to bring you these new Perspectives(Kind of hate the fact that I can't say this word any more without it feeling weird.) Oh for sure. But most of us were edgy kids. We were all comming up with black coated super hero's with dark back stories.
The fact that RBA,RB,RID2015,TFP, AND the War For Cybertron games are set in the same universe is truly a mistake

i would describe the best of aligned as a good jumping-off point for transformers
like there's a reason so many people start with either transformers prime or the highmoon games
they don't have THE BEST storytelling in transformers (that would be beast wars), nor do they reinvent the characters in the most interesting way (animated), and they DEFINITELY don't win in terms of being nostalgic and memorable (the unicron trilogy)

Well that's just Prime.
At least half of the aligned media is great on its own, but when you try to connect it all it gets majorly screwy
Once again you absolutely deserve it keep up the great work
Thank you so much!
i just hate how they just cant decide the true story, like, in wfc optimus rejected being a prime, while the council said "bro, how humble" and only after primus said "my man, u are a prime" is when optimus accept to be a prime, but in tf prime ratchet was like "nah its like g1 you need to earn the matrix to be a prime"
4:00 BASED
Some people don't realize that's a joke.
I love soundwave’s vow of silence being not there in foc & wfc
Truly some seamless continuity.
I like RID Grimlock, he wants to punch things with his tiny T-rex arms, this amuses me.
My favorite aligned continuity mismatch is Starscream having NEVER GOTTEN ONTO THE NEMESIS in FOC
I do think that the novels actually do touch on that issue? Like he just in time caught up with the other Decepticons before departing from Cybertron and begged to rejoin, that is from what I can remember anyway?
@ if that’s a thing cool! Good on them for making it work, even if I find it a little weak
@@Cdr2002 again I don’t know if was the official answer but yet again the continuity was muddled anyway.
@ yeah no worries! No ill will towards you at all. It IS a messy continuity. I think people underrate how much Rescue Bots Academy tried to mend it but it’s still a mess
Congratulations!
Thank you so much!
Wow, 20K subs! Congrats, it’s been a great ride over the last 4 years.
Thank you so much!
I didn't realize Transformers:Go! was part of the Aligned Continuity.
Transformers: Go is basically 'What if we took a story about Samurai and Ninja Autobots fighting Demons while time-travelling to decide the fate of Feudal Japan, but made it boring, lame, and the animators forgot to have the characters' mouths move while they talk'.
Also, in the second episode, they made my boy Benkei a crybaby because...I don't know why.
the go series is basically everything the fandom hates about the japanese G1 continuity taken up to eleven
like nothing ever really happens, the characters are OP without being fleshed out, the plot is so not-there that the final episodes of the two "volumes" are literally identical to each other minus the characters being swapped out
and get this
the animation is stiff and expressionless because they blew the budget on making the transformation sequences as unnecessarily extravagant as humanly possible
if perspective one day decides to make a video ripping apart a particular transformers anime i hope it's that one
More power to those of you who do look at everything being connected, but even if mistake isn't the word I'd use, I somewhat agree here.
evil gasoline is really good
Congrats on 20 000 and here's to 20 000 more in the new year.
Glad I know what the logo came out of, it's the best community youtuber pfp i've ever seen as it's really creative + really cool

Thank you 🙏 truly a role model for me. Wish you much success and happiness
Thank you so much, proud to be someone who can inspire you.
It is very funny that the show made for Babies is the more widely respected one.
Remember, Optimus Prime could turn into a T-Rex anytime in the aligned continuity but chose not to.
It would have made a Prime a much better show
Just like how G1 Optimus makes his trailer disappear from thin air or Bayverse Optimus was able to fly at any moment in AOE yet didn't
I don't remember because I've never watched that show, but it does sound like it's awesome.
@@PerspectiveEnd Rescue Bots is in fact very awsome

Thank you so much! I'm so proud to be able to make stuff that anyone can appreciate like you guys do.
Same story wise they don't connect.
It's even more insane when they tried to Rope Bayverse into the Aligned Continuity with Rise of the Dark Spark.
BRO
1) the naming of Fall of Cybertron comes from the fact Autobots ARE TRYING TO LEAVE IT
2) proper comparison of energon and dark energon would be like helium and hydrogen in zeppelins, one is safe to use and another if even slightly unstable can blow entire spaceships apart
3) Grimlock and Bruticus sections not fun? they're used as a breakup from the endless shooting, is your definition of fun "doing the same thing over and over"?
4) and if you say Devastation is a better game then these two then idk what to tell ya considering it's just a worse MGR:R
5) RiD15 Grimlock IS NEVER SAID TO BE THE SAME GRIMLOCK AS THE ONE FROM DINOBOTS, he takes the name akin to Beast Wars Megatron, by your logic both G1 and BW Megatrons are the same guy
6) I don't get how you can skimp over Metroplex's sacrifice from FoC, how can you forget it, have you even played the game?
A decade ago now, but I did play them.
istg it was just yesterday when 10k subs was hit, genuinely amazed and proud. The recognition is truly deserved man o7

I hate how the Aligned Continuity established a formula that new pieces of media in the franchise keep falling back on instead of making new lore like the olden days. I missed when every TF series had at least a few nuggets of lore/story that made it different from what came before and what came later.
Even Beast Wars, which was a direct sequel to G1 pushed things in ne directions more than the Aligned did and the series that have come since.
Thanks for the shoutout bro and congrats on 20k been a pleasure watching your channel grow throughout the years
Congrats on 20k Jake. Ur probaply my favorite youtuber for a myriad of reasons i will not specify cuz id be here all day. Keep up the great work and heres to 20k more!
I think the early alligned stuff. The high moon games, the books, and prime can be considered megatrons story, but only somewhat and none of the shows after that are based on that or even the aftermath of that
I can see that argument with how Prime Ends with Megatron just leaving being like "I must go, not being evil needs me."
That Prototype Perspective logo looks sick as slag, and congrats on 20k!
Congratulations on 20k 🎉🎊🍾

Been here since like 7K subs and I'm happy to be here. Here's to 30K and more.
Has it really only been that long? Feels like so much longer.
@PerspectiveEnd Maybe it was. I believe I remember you talking about trying to get to 10K before the summer was over. Perhaps I was subbed longer and just can't remember.
There are just three things to remember about the Aligned universe:
The Aligned continuity failed because the creators on Prime refused to play ball with anyone else.
WFC/FOC are the best media, while Rescue Bots and RBA are the best shows.
And RID 2015 is over hated, while Prime is over-hyped.
Even when I was a child I knew this "continuity" wasn't even connected at all
The best thing I could describe this "continuity" is Manny's blanket from the DOWAK series
Or “Lose Continuity” kinda like the FNAF books being cannon, certain parts are cannon but not most of the characters or stories.
Take a shot every time PE says "continuity"
All jokes aside, I am so happy for you reaching 20k, I hope you keeping on growing bigger and bigger
I've been waiting so long for someone to say this about the Asslined series
I'm glad someone found this video necessary.
I know you don’t watch rescue bots because you don’t wanna get caught lacking watching a baby show, rescue bots does have some of the best examples of continuity but also doesn’t align well too😅
To be fair, it doesn't surprise me that that's the most consistent part of the continuity.
@PerspectiveEnd hasbro didn't have the heart to tell them so they allowed everyone to do what they wanted instead of getting people who were on board.
I think there were elements of the aligned continuity that were cool. it was the first time hasbro tried to keep a consistent series going and not just everything that came before and starting over every couple years. However in execution it left a lot to be desired.
The problem is that nobody wanted to do the continuity and harsbro let everyone do what they wanted which makes the whole thing pointless.
That's more of a you problem then anything
The majority of the fans like all these things
There's nothing wrong with feeling excluded, but when you are in a very very small minority of the fanbase, the chances of that changing are very very low
It's like batman fans who prefer the campy 60s style or brave and the bold humor. They have a preference, but most people prefer dark and gritty, so dc makes dark and gritty to satisfy the majority
Aligned was indeed a mistake, but that goes without saying at this point.
You are one of my favorite RUclipsrs and I hope you keep up the great work.
Congrats on reaching 20K subs PerspectiveEnd!!! I made my own fanfic that the reason for the blatant inconsistencies with the Aligned Continuity is that Unicron changed history every time he disliked how the story was ending. lol Keep on being amazing.
Thank you so much! I mean that would help explain why none of it works.
@@PerspectiveEnd You're welcome!!
As much as I love rescue bots. I think it’s the reason for rid15’s existence, it got to popular and got seasons after prime and they didn’t know how to explain to the younger kids “hey Optimus is dead” so that’s why he got revived.
Very possible, though it's not like that's a thing that Happens quickly in RID, I gave up on the show 15 episodes in and he wasn't back yet.
Congratulations on the 20k. It has been an entertaining journey.

The title speaks to me. I already know this is what I needed
If someone were to make a custom figure with your logo as the face, what figure would you want used as basically the transformers version of you? I got inspired by the back kibble podcast thumbnails.
I love (by that I mean subconsciously hate) how you comepletely ignored rescue bots and it’s sequel
I forgot/didnt care that it existed.
Decepticons were done so dirty in RID 15, they're either kid furry slop or the really cool Prime designs turned into over complex g1 slop
I don't know what they thought they were doing there but it was all terrible.
I usually don't comment, but I've been with you since the early days. Been a blast watching you grow.
Loved this older style video. 😁
The only reason war and fall of cybertron are the only aligned parts is literally because the pitch to Hasbro for the 2 games was a retelling of the frist episode of generation one but darker
5:34 because Dark of the Moon is peak
The aligned continuity isn’t even aligned
Yep
There was like only one other reference to another Hasbro property in Prime too, M.A.S.K was mentioned a few times but never appeared.
Congrats on the channel milestone! I'm only a recent subscriber but I enjoy your videos, it's nice to hear other perspectives on things that most people all have the same opinion of.
Side note, is it bad that finding out you were an edgy child is one of the least surprising things I've ever heard? Heh!
I'm proud to bring you these new Perspectives(Kind of hate the fact that I can't say this word any more without it feeling weird.)
Oh for sure. But most of us were edgy kids. We were all comming up with black coated super hero's with dark back stories.
The alliged continuity is the fnaf lore of the transformers. You gonna do some crazy mental gymnastics to make it remotely work
happy 20k !
Thank you so much!
