"Sketchy No 1" : She blows from only one pipe... and she blows like they all do - smokeyhh!! - mainly as it'll be drinking oil.. :-) Oh the fun to be had mucking about with TFSI engines.. Turbo ok? cough.. How's the clutch? The head will be covered in more carbon deposits around the intake valves than you'd find down a coalmine, it'll eat fuel.. stuff will break with predictable predictability... I still kinda like 'em - but I hate working on 'em. :-)
I've always liked the TT since they came out, I liked even when said was a hair dressers car and to this day the original still looks amazing. I'd absolutely love a go in the TTrs
The stiff gearbox is the oil in it. Its thick when cold and thinner when it warms up I changed mine recently to some good stuff thin when cold and warm gearbox feels much better now.
@@scitec717 can't remember exactly how much I payed. But there's some on amazon type in titan sintofluid sae 75W-80. Liqui moly do some good stuff too.
Really nice car I’ve always loved the roadster just as much as the Coupe. The rear seats in the coupe are pretty much useless so practicality wise between them it’s splitting hairs.
Yeah it would weigh a bit more and have less rigidity than a Coupe but you can improve the Rigidity yourself with a bit of mods and the weight difference isn't that much, it's 1510kg compared to 1450kg still lighter than a MK8. I would put gated shifter from an R8 in it though.

That trim being off near the bonnet release... Bonnet release is fragile on these cars, I snapped mine after picking one up not to long ago and then finding out it's a common issue

This cars got to be a restore project. Get it up to standard mechanically and visually e.g. bodywork, interior restore.
Accelera ditch finders! change them asap as they are truly awful in the wet!
