    • @Almightyyknight
      @Almightyyknight 6 месяцев назад +1

      can I ask how you think saltwater is less maintenance? if your saltwater tank isn't smaller than the freshwater I cant see how they are easier to have then freshwater. As to me saltwater is about the same as freshwater you just have to mix the salt and pay more attention to perimeters.

  • @shannarafryer3111
    @shannarafryer3111 Год назад +30

    Now that you’ve done saltwater, I have a suggestion. Brackish water, specifically Opae Ula shrimp (assuming you can legally have them where you live). The salinity they live at is either too high or too low for plants and macroalgae. I’d love to see how you take up the challenge with the limit of rocks, sand, algae that forms naturally and possibly things like driftwood or coral

      @nomasdf Год назад +3

      @@shannarafryer3111 It does not do great, but it is been there for a couple of months already and not dying... after some experimenting the point is salinity on the higher end (opae doing great) and some minimal but existing amounts of nutrients for chaeto (trumpet snails plus adding residual nutrients).
