NIO actually delivers what they claimed! A mark of quality and integrity from the NIO brand unlike others such as Tesla. I would know since I own a Tesla and it never delivered the quoted range. I will switch to a NIO when they come to the US.
Hey, I never comment on anything but I really like your videos and think you do a great job. Keep it up! May 2024 bring much good health and prosperity to you, and that you Stay Electric!
Excellent driving review ! I like the exterior styling of the EL7 so much more than the EV9 you just reviewed, but guessing the EL7 won't be available in the US any time soon.
Probably not for a while. I know nio really is trying to enter the US market but it seems tough for the moment. It's s more settled and classic design compared to the EV9. The EL6 looks even better according to me: ruclips.net/video/bdr5gjdk4aA/видео.htmlsi=YQ2MyhpIQPbSCPzJ
@@ItsOnlyElectric we went too Nio too test sit and look at el6 but we find that trunk space is a little small for Norwegian family & medium dog. And that the nyttelast is 465 is also not fantastic. El7 have 524 and that is much better. Atleast its not as little as the Xpeng g9 with 365. Looking forward too your Nio el 6 review/test. Will watch that before we make a decision🙂
Hej! 👋 Thanks for the review and the insights. As for the Kia EV9, this car is way too big for my needs, but, I'm really in love with the Nio cars. I'm looking into the ET5 Touring as my next ride, such a good-looking car 😍 Can you quantity the droop in range during winter conditions? I mean, 15°C, that's good condition for EV, we all know that winter temp and wet/snowy roads chop the available range 🙂
A qualified guess would be a consumption around 22-23kWh in -2 - -4°C which will result in a range around 410km. The ET5T is an amazing car, one of my favorites. So good looking and nice driving experience.
For your reference, I did 480km return trip today with 19inch Primacy All Season on flat terrain with small section of hilly region, lets say 90% of high way. Temperature slightly below your 15c, maybe from 5-10c. avg speed 80.7km and consumption was 18.6kwh. I wasn’t in a good mood because of the traffic, so you can make it lower. I also use ps5 in summer which consume slightly more energy from what I remember.
Your videos are brilliant. Thank you for all the work you put in. Do uou have a spreadsheet available with all the real world kwh/100km for all the cars you've tested? Would be great to have!
It was love at first drive with the EL7. I'm picking up mine in less than a week. German design, Silicone Valley Software... and an excellent price when compared to the competitors you mentioned. I particularly love the air suspension, the UI, and the customisation abilities of the drive and handling. NOMI has recently got a major upgrade and is now using Azure Open AI... I'm super stoked to be joining the NIO family.
I live in CHina (British expat), and I'm considering buy the ET8 (EL8). It costs 630k RMB here with all the options maxed out. It embaresses the European seater SUV counterparts, like the BMW IX, Mercedes GLS/GLE, EQS SUV, Audi Q7 and Q8
Thanks for your great tests. How do you calculate the real world range of 480km? As far as I know the battery only has 90kwh usable capacity. And 90/19.8 = 454km
Nice review again. Question on the noise level with MY Performance, it is 66dB with 110km now, this used to be 70dB, is this caused by the different tyres?
@@ItsOnlyElectric I know...their plan was 120 for 2023, then they changed to 80....I guess they found some hurdles since in China they achieved 1,000 new stations and +1,000 for this year. Let's see
@GM-lq7sw yes, when I talked with the team they said that they underestimated the European processes and regulations. Takes alot longer to get permits and establishing a station in Europe compared to China.
Yes, that is correct. 20°C and ECO mode active. For price and more details, the full review: ruclips.net/video/Cgbr5k_J_8c/видео.htmlsi=Eq8TI83uq3yx3Pi1 Bonne année!
If Hot Wheels made this into an actual casting it would deserve the track stars rating. I even bet they would sculpt out the loop symbol on the chassis.
@@ItsOnlyElectric No worries bro. Watching the ads is worth your content, I will continue watching. Besides I just ordered the EL7, can't wait to get it.

Hi, had a look on the car today and it was very impressive, the comfort was on another level.
Yes, i agree! Range testing the EL6 next week. One of my favorites!

I like the ET5 Touring. Just saw a mod in one and it was sick. I would for sure consider a NIO if they were sold in U.S.

Nice review as always, dude! If I am not that interested in air suspension, is there any other reasons to go for the EL7, compared to the EL6?
Thanks man, Glad you enjoy! I would go for the EL6 hands down. A bit less HP and no sir suspension but active dampers.
Just a heads-up: having the EL6 for a week in 2 weeks. Will do both range, noise, charging tests etc.

Having a EL6 100kW very soon. Can test the capacity of that pack and see available net capacity. Thanks for pointing that out

Thanks! Very observant of you, I see that I have pasted in the wrong numbers and wrong tires on the MY. It's still 70dB. Sorry about the confusion.
Good review!!! This year we should expect more swap stations in Europe, if they manage to add like 100, then it will be very convenient for NIO users.
Thanks! The network is growing fast. Over 30 stations in Europe now

Is there a highway speed (120) range test?
Unfortunately not. But expect a consumption around 25kWh/100km and 380km of range.

Just swap the battery for what is needed when it is needed.
