When it comes to things like store-brand items, even those items retailers did not manufacture themselves. They purchased the right to have their label put on a generic product.
Kroger brand products are those re-packaged by cheap Chinese brands and labeled "Kroger" by another company. One company in particular is Ventura Foods, who mix butter cubes into a vat, heat it up, and dispense it into tubs with store-brand labels. They also re-package things like ketchup, mayonnaise and salad dressing.
The same goes for generic supplements with store-brand labels, and many other products as well.

Hi, This stuff is very helpful. is there a way to print off those examples he writes of shows so I can reference back to? I tried a screenshot but it just becomes distorted and not easy to read when printing from the screenshot. Most of these examples are excellent and different from what texts books. Lots of books just describe with no visual such as this professor does in this course and if I can get those prints then I can reference them back to the text to make notes and I am sure it be a great learning tool because we all know there is no delay or waiting for students to get the concept. Professors just have to keep moving forward even if we all do get the concepts right one the first time. Practices take time, and the next lesson starts right when assignments are completed so there is no time to study further to get a good understanding before the next lessons are begin covered.
    Thanks!

The merchandise company equation is missing discontinuous operations, income tax (net of tax), and extraordinary items (net of tax).
