I've been saying Mullings needs to be RB1 all off-season. Idk why he wasn't.
He ran so hard last year i thought he should have been RB2 last year. We don't really have the offensive play calling to really have The Don be an effective back.

edwards needs to be used in low risk situations, he is a high upside/homerun player. so 2nd and 4, 3rd and 1, see if we can get a big play. if not, our drives will be killed, and this offense is not good enough to survive runs which are stuffed at the line of scrimmage

Everyone's so quick to want to bench Dono.....

While i agree too many people are dunking donavan, with the way this team plays, hes still gonna get a lot of snaps, even if officially rb2

Did not mean to imply that Dono should be benched, he has been huge for us in so many big moments. I just think Kalel has proven to be the guy over the first 4 weeks and fits the offense a little better. Would like to see them get a little bit more creative with Don and how they use him. That is seemingly when he is at his best.

100 percent agree with this. He will still get plenty of work (as he should). I just think the workload should lean to Mullings

People who actually know the game and have the ability to assess talent objectively knew at the end of last season that Mullings was/is Michigan's #1 RB...and it really is not close. You folks who are offended by facts and the truth need to go sit in the corner and learn something about the game.

if we keep giving edwards more carries and to start games, we will lose. he kills more than half of our drives when he plays

If they keep feeding Mullings as the season moves along and he maintains his level of production he could enter the Heisman race at some point this season, provided they keep winning of course.
If I were coordinating this offense I would see my starting offensive "skill position" lineup as looking something like this:
    Alex Orji - qb
    Kalel Mullings - rb1
    Colston Loveland - x/y
    Donovan Edwards - rb2/slot/z
    Max Bredeson - fb/hb/y
    Marlin Klein - y
Mullings should continue to get the bulk of the carries while the team needs to start exploring ways to get Edwards the ball in the passing game. More "long handoffs" to the perimeter, screens, and wheel routes. Yes, I do believe Orji can complete those passes.

Could not agree more with this. Mullings getting the main workload at RB, but Don needs to get involved in some creative ways. He still brings a ton of value to the offense, even if he is not the featured back.

Kalel needs to get 20+ carries per game. They just have to be more creative in how they use The Don!

Exactly. Let Don do what he does best, get him out in space, use him as a pass catcher.
