@VHS Video Vault, Thanks ever so much for posting this clip! It's fantastic to be able to see a few different shots than those in the final cuts of the released film! :) :) :)
This is so cool for me, I love Mona Lisa, it's entrancing to see Bob Hoskins before he became synonymous with Eddie Valiant in Roger Rabbit. Thank you so much.
Wow. Great find. I love Mona Lisa, in my opinion, it's Neil Jordan's best film - I could never get into The Crying Game. Bob, Cathy and Michael all give superb performances in this.
He and my dad shared a dressing room at the Aldwych for five months in 1976 and that was when we got to know him. He's was on the cusp of great stardom, but that would never change him. His London credentials are, shall we say, a little confused. He played up to the image of him being a river child, almost, born amidst the bomb sites of Bermondsey and with a matching accent. In reality though, he grew up in North London which is quite a different cup of tea. Mind you, as a person, he was never less than authentic.
In real life Bob Hoskins was so different from the 'hard men' he portrayed on film. A sign of a really good actor.
Brilliant actor. Commanding presence and not forgotten

As much as I love Roger Rabbit, he should not be synonymous with that character.

Interesting, thanks.
R.I.P Bob Hoskins your missed
“Mona Lisa” is a fabulous movie
Michael Caine didn't do a cameo. He was in several scenes.
Thanks. love the movie, and mr Hoskins.
Was this really filmed only 2 months before the movie was released in June 1986? Seems like a very fast turnaround. Thanks for the upload.
That's the broadcast date. I would guess it was filmed much earlier, and broadcast close to the release as promotional material for the film.
0:29 - Eddie Valiant meets the Beatles!
