They'd then do their best to investigate the Fears, but probably just end up just classifying them as uncontainable. They'd then reclassify the avatars as sub-SCP's of whichever Fear they could definitively connect them to. As for the Magnus Institute itself, I'm not sure. If the Foundation doesn't find out the truth about Jonah then they might try to recruit the Institute to access their archives and experience. If the offer was refused (which seems very likely), then they'd raid the building, take everything Fear-related they could find, and then amnesticise the staff. If the Foundation somehow does find out Jonah's secret (or somehow manages to stumble across a certain something in the basement during their raid), then they'd swoop in, aprehend EVERYONE who'd worked there and lock down the building and classify the place as its own SCP. That's just my guess of course. I'd love to see what other folks might come up with for this cross-over :)

One word : madness. I can try to give an example I hope it will stick with you : have you ever felt angry enough to do something you would NEVER do normally ? Like hurting someone you love for example. It's like that. If takes only a few moments to do so and anger is a short moment of madness, so you have enough time to do it. It's when your mind disregards any logic and all other feelings you could have that are positive in any way. It's similar to suicide too.

So... about midway through the 'inferno monolog,' I realized that it's probably the devil that is talking... or writing... and it's genuinely so much scarier knowing that it is making the person believe they are doing a good thing by self-immolating.
