Far out, the idea of building a scene using Unreal 5 and having is displayed on a background seems so far fetched on paper but it works so well and the more I think about it the more powerful I can see this being, especially when it's used out of focus in the background augmenting a real set. Awesome stuff! I love your grades and methodology to building your shots too, giving me a lot of things to think about for my next project ✌️
I’m buy the fx30 to start my film journey, this motivates me a lot.. I often question is hundreds of millions of dollar really necessary but things like this makes me believe with time and good thinking one can really pull this off
Fantastic work! I just finished directing my first short film. I was wondering on a feature of this level, how many shots and setups can you do per day? Thanks!
Love it. Love seeing the breakdown. Something that might look good, especially if its supposed to be cloudy and rainy: wet down the bunker walls. Give em a little spritz with a spray bottle and get some specular highlights in the background. Might make some shots pop!
Surprised that you used the Komodo but I guess it helped with the led wall. That said it looks great and for what ever reason Red and the Komodo included just look like cinema when lit well. Btw the choice of dulens was interesting and wondering why. Lack of CA? They are super nice quality lenses for sure. Excellent well done.
Why would I not use the Komodo. First off it’s a fantastic camera no matter what you hear on the internet and also the camera almost doesn’t matter anyway. Dulens have great character while also being reliable and sharp. This setup is exactly what this film needed.
Who love cinematography 😊
Dude, as a lover of filmmaking, I cannot tell you how great your shots look man. Well done. You should be very proud of yourself

About 30 shots a day but it’s minimal setup for that many. As long as you light a space you can do it or even more. But we never stop moving haha
