I remember the day Big Mac was brought to the sanctuary and to now see him resting comfortably less then a foot from you for over an hour is a true testament to your skills as trainer! Bo Jangles!! ❤
I'm not in the field and I watched the video all the way through. I really dig your videos, there is so much misinformation spread by fellow Floridians about alligators and when I need a good video to help educate, I always use one of yours. Keep up the great work! Edit: Correction. The video was ALMOST at the end when I wrote this. But it's over now, Bojangles.
If more people had the strength, hustle, compassion and drive that you guys have-and were willing to dedicate all of that to the life others (animal or people) the world would genuinely be a better place. The reality of rescue is not something people really want to see, but you both live it. 💙
Bojangles! I love these longer in depth talks on specific topics - please do more! I have no history, experience or knowledge (apart from what I've learned from your channels - which I feel is a lot, thank you!) of reptiles/exotic animals, but I could listen to you guys discuss and educate on these amazing and beautiful animals all day. Thank you for the incredible work you do - for your dedication, passion and compassion. 🥰🐊🦊🐷🦨🦉❤
Thank you both for your ongoing efforts of caring for your animals & educating the public of what the reality is of owning an exotic animal. Not only is your sanctuary needed, your words are also. We need to start a campaign to get you on Joe Rogan! Merry Christmas! BO JANGLES!!!
If I've learned nothing else from watching Chris over the years it's this: "TRAINED, not tame, and NEVER, EVER pets". People, get a clue ffs. These ain't pets. Watch them here, watch them at zoos. Don't watch them in your backyard pool.
Bojangles. These videos where you discuss things are actually my favorite of your formats. (along with the updates on gator enclosure builds) I got to talk to Reg Presley once about his book, "Wild Things They Don't tell Us". He was an expert on crop circles in the UK. Thanks for all the great education, Gabby and Chris!
Hi Chris, and Gabby. Thanks for your discussion about the Florida 4th foot under alligator, crocodile, law. People do not know how to take care of them. And they become deformed, and will not survive. Cindy
Excellent video! I really appreciate you educating us and advocating for the animals who are the unfortunate victims of human ignorance and selfishness. Bojangles! 🙌🏼💚
Bojangles. Thank you for taking the time to educate and inform. Personally, I think it’s adorable that Chris talks baby talk to everything from gators to prairie dogs. Your channel here, and all your social media is an island of calm rationality and awesome animals in a sea of divisiveness and dread. THANK YOU.
Bojingles :) Btw, I am one of the few who appreciates this type of long form content. I get so much value from it. As one who lives in Scotland, I have no access to crocodilians so it's very amusing to me. I never used to be very interested in them, either but over the last 18 months of watching your content, I have fallen in love with these animals. I would never wish to own one (though if I lived in a warm climate, I would definitely consider rescuing some of those poor Sulcatas ). God bless you both for all your hard work. Btw, I sent you an email a couple of months back but I think you were too sick or too busy to respond. Perhaps I will resend...it was on the topic of metabolic bone disease and some thoughts I was having on it. Anyway, I wish you both a wonderful Christmas and may 2025 see you and your animals continue to prosper x
Great topic to discuss, I always learn alot watching you. Thank you for sharing this. I hope you and gabby have an awesome day swe you again on the next one
Raise your hand or like this button IF YOU ALSO STAYED UNTIL THE END OF THE VIDEO! 🤚 thank you guys for this lesson and happy holidays to all the people that make this channel happen. Sir Chris you're a man of knowledge, my good man. You deserve to be heard to the end.
Bowjingles...So loved this. Informative and really interesting. I don't know how long ago the permits legislation was developed and introduced but with the growth in social media promoting and influencing, it is clearly time it was revisited to focus more on appropriate husbandry and care requirements . I appreciate you both taking time out for this, and loved the backdrop views, your sanctuary trees and sunlight views are stunning.
You two are doing a great job and I appreciate how you hard you work to give your animals the best life. I enjoy your channel and how much I learn watching it. Blessing to you and your beautiful animals.🥰💚💜💙
Mr. Bojangles... I watched the progression with the whole sanctuary, its so awesome. At the same time i have zero desire to own an exotic animal, because i don't have the means to properly provide for one, simple thought process. Keep up the great work.
As we say on Vulcan: Live Long and Bojangles. I for one appreciate videos like this, giving insight to your thoughts and what regulatory hoops you must jump through. With government, you don't want too much regulation but for certain things, you don't want too little. I find it ironic that with Sulcata Tortoises, from what I've read, in the wild, the Sahel, the various races (I don't think they are divided into subspecies) are endangered from hunting and habitat loss. Yet in the US, they're very common. Well, continue doing what you do and may good fortune forever find you.
Great video guys....I enjoy hearing your thoughts on these topics and to be honest I agree with ya!!! For Gabby Bo Jingles. You have done a fantastic job with Big Mac with Bella & Dino as well . appreciate you guys much respect have a nice night
Don't know what Bojingles (that's how my ears heard it) mean, but I loved this video. Very interesting and educational. Like all of your videos! Merry Christmas from Sweden! 🎅🎄🌟
You are 100% right Chris it's animal abuse when anyone keeps them as pets. I follow You & Gatorland & because I follow you I get other videos pop up on my Facebook page showing people who keep gators & crocs as pets in their homes. The same as you Chris it makes me mad & it should never be allowed. People don't have the experience as you have Chris. You & Gabby do an amazing job in looking after all your animals.
It's wierd to me that someone would only get a pet for a couple years and have to give it up. If you really love this pet alligator how can you give it up? Then where do you take it? I don't understand why people would do that to not only themselves but for the animals.
I was thinking the same thing, if you know you are not going to be able to keep it for its life, what is the point. I am the unofficial dog rescuer (sounds better than the crazy old dog woman) I am astounded how people will take a cute puppy but once it starts barking and chewing on shoes they toss it out.
I will never own any, but I respect life in all forms. YOU DO TOO. I wish I was rich. For so many reasons, but first and foremost, so I may help. I admire your talents, education, and love for what you do. Please be strong, know your own power, it may help .
Bo jingles. I watch all your videos to the end. Love ypu guys. I was born in Palm Bay too and grew up in the same elements. Love both of yall and what yall do. Don't stop for anyone.
I learn a lot from your guys channel. I follow other Florida peeps too and as much as I love everything else Kenan does he does breed sulcata tortoises and that's not ok. Much love to the whole sanctuary! ❤
Bojangles! Love you both for what you do and how you do it. I always watch till the end. your videos always make me smile. I get to watch adorable animals in your beautiful property and get educated about them. There are always gonna be idiots out there, and it sucks. Just keep being you and focus on all the wonderful critters you can help. Merry Christmas to you both.
Bojangles? Bajingles? something like that. very interesting, my little guy is recently obsessed with Crocs, we enjoy all the educational content you provide. Its great for him to see what the animals are really like and what it takes to care for them
Bo Jingles it iiis, everytime btw Lol. Love such videos, I think you are an excellent edugator in that topic, very informitive, have a lot of experience and it comes across really well, through the videos. I have learned sooooo much about reptiles in general because of you and Gabby obviously. Like before I started listneing you and Dingo, I only knew the names of few crocodillians and few snakes, but didnt know nothing about the exact behavior or their body parts even, like the osteoderms or heat pits( they are both so cool) for an example. Also, I didn't even know about cubans before I saw Mrs Toothy and Aries, and cubans are now one of my fav crocs for sure. Or even turtles, I didn't know nothing about turtles really before I started watching you, I knew only few species. Also the different sicknesses and also the sharks,( but I gotta watch more videos about them, so much I don't know about them, also I have no clue how to really identify them, just by looking at the pictures). Personally I would like to have such long rambling videos more often from y'all. Anyways I am glad you are still sharing the sanctuary life and everything you do there. Wishing y'all happy holidays from Estonia.
Already 4.000 views, you exceeded your 3.000 views you thought you were going to get. Not sure what "Bojangels" or something like that is though 😆 Anyway, even though we don't have crocs or gators here in Belgium (except at the zoo's) I love those video's explaining things, it's very interesting but also somewhat surprising that it's that easy to get gators or crocs as a pet. Anyway, keep up the good work and happy holidays (now going to hide and run because I didn't say merry christmas) 🤣
I watched to the end. You are right about not keeping crocodilians of any size as pets!!! They are illegal in Massachusetts but every once in a while one is found. Not long ago there was a 4 ft gator found swimming in the Westfield River. The D.E.M. captured it. It was in very poor condition. I don't know what became of it.
I’m one of the few that enjoy watching all your videos to the end. I’ve learned so much from all your content. I will be living near the sanctuary soon and hope to be able to volunteer my time in order to help in some small way in furthering y’all’s dream while getting to help the animals . #bojangles 😂
My opinion is that I don't think ANYONE should own ANY wild animals without proper permits, proper education, proper environment and the actual ability [physically, mentally, financially].... Only people equipped, [Sanctuaries, rehab facilities...] should be able to. It's horrific that random ignorant people are allowed to have pets, [wild or otherwise], without vetting of any kind. Unfortunately the pet trade is lucrative, so unscrupulous people will take advantage. Side note: It's so cool to see a gator a couple of feet away from Chris just chillin', when a few months ago that gator was completely wild and scared. Watching Chris casually talk while Big Mac is creepin'.....My nerves....LOL! Joe R, sounds like people I know. And they aren't willing to educate themselves to think any different. I'm so glad I found this channel and learned about them, because it's a game changer if you just listen and watch. Bo Jangles!!!
It’s unlikely that Chris will be the one who convinces him with the approach he took in this video. Rogan clearly suffered real childhood psychological trauma and dismissing it as stupid isn’t a great way to change his mind. Which is unfortunate as I suspect that Chris is the one best equipped to change his mind.
@Cloak1972 True, maybe a better approach would be to point out that a gator is a predator and will always see others as prey, but that isn't the only thing it is.
I try to withold my sarcasm when I comment. I love that i can always watch you with the animals since i can't have them myself. As a kid, i went to summer camp with The Raptor Trust in Jersey, we did extremely geeky things like search the woods for owl pellets and then disect them. We also learned how to handle the birds, holding an eagle on your arm as an 11 year old us kinda cool. I always had a soft spot for big cats, and loved watching them act like house cats. I have a pet pitbull, i had to get her certified as an emotional support animal to be able to keep her because people ate dumb. She's my second pittie, I've rescued them because they are difficult to place, and they are such sweet and easy animals. I'm a divemaster, and have dived with sharks, and hundreds of other things that could kill you. I had however always been afraid of gators. I thought if I touched water that had a gator in it, I'd become gator chow, and wouldn't go near freshwater in the gulf coast. I thank you and bojangles for helping me realize my fear was unfounded and see the beauty of these creatures.
It doesn't matter how much money anyone may have. TRUE animal lovers understand the responsibilities of pet ownership and the cruel suffering of too many domestic as well as wild animals because of irresponsible people should be a serious factor in outlawing backyard/basement whatever " habitats" for wild animals.
Question when it comes to Gaston, since you have gotten some of the foreign matter out also you guys have done x-rays, scans, giving him medicine do you think that the foreign matter that was inside damage his colon and intestines and that's why he is still bloated or did another alligator puncture an organ
My problem is when they hit 4 feet most people don't have the money to purchase the land to get the next permit so now they have to find a sanctuary for the animal to live out the next 50 years of their lives
Bo Jingles I like watching to the end and have been watching Chris since he was doing tours with Casper and feeding Aries the Crocodile. Always educational and always cool to see the animals, though I will admit to skipping the pig feeding sometimes.
I did enjoy having this video on in the background, listing to the topic as I played games. It's always fun to listing to someone who cares and knows a lot about a topic talk about it. I'm Danish and learning about this law blew my mind, the idea of it seems not only insane but bordering on cruel, the door is wide open for animal abuse, intentional or otherwise. I see nothing wrong with regulations/ laws ensuring a certain standard of living for the animal. But most importantly; some animals simply should not be kept as pets to begin with. Also, I agree with Chris that Gabby should have picked a better random word ;-9
the next step for you guys is to learn human behaviour to the same level you know aligator n other animal behaviour. I specialise in human behaviour and would love to share this info for free. it would improve everything you're doing. Peace
Bojangles. This was a really interesting and informative discussion. It seems like finding that reasonable middle ground is something our country struggles with in general. I really wish we were better at protecting these animals and making sure people do right by them. It's so sad that the animals suffer because of the actions of people. I'm in Arizona, and they are always looking for homes for the tortoises. And it's crazy how often people here post about a sulcata getting out.
Bojangles and i dont even live in the US! I live in australia but its interesting to hear about the situations in other countries etc. I always find it weird when you tubers/ US residents have kangaroos as pets when we cant even have them as pets here in Aus where they are native !
I listened to a vlog last night and what stuck out was, he said that the endangered status on Box turtles here might be lifted because builders need more land? 😢 Nothing ever makes sense with these Fl. Animal laws. Also bojangles.
Bojangles! Never apologize for saying what you have to say. Education is an important part of what you guys do. Funny thing is, I hear a similar theme from other animals rescuers. PEOPLE are the cause for most of problems that you guys face 😓
An hour of Chris dissing on unethical pet practices, we were truly gifted an early Christmas present
😂
Perfect response!!!!!
I remember the day Big Mac was brought to the sanctuary and to now see him resting comfortably less then a foot from you for over an hour is a true testament to your skills as trainer! Bo Jangles!! ❤
You talk about these things with passion. Thank you for rescuing and caring for these animals.

Its quite hard to understand why someone would want a crocodile as a pet to begin with. Like it's not going to grow up and try to eat you
"Bo Jingles". Love you and we are so fortunate that someone like the two of you exist. You truly are an asset to the community. Thank you again.

Thanks for making the world better through your work, inspiring.

I’m super interested to learn about this as someone from Colorado!
I wish more people would think about the wellness of the animal…
Hi, I'm in Colorado too 👋

That's like a lot of people get a puppy, then it grows up and they get rid of it. Usually to the dog pound.
I was thinking the same thing, if you know you are not going to be able to keep it for its life, what is the point. I am the unofficial dog rescuer (sounds better than the crazy old dog woman) I am astounded how people will take a cute puppy but once it starts barking and chewing on shoes they toss it out.

Bojangles! Thank you for this informative talk. Great timing to, as holidays are when people are inspired to give living creatures as gifts.

Our laws are weird. Good and bad but more bad😂
Bojangles is the best!!! Loved watching all of this!!! You guys are so incredible and so inspirational
Watched to the end. Love your passion ❤
Thank you!

It’s unlikely that Chris will be the one who convinces him with the approach he took in this video. Rogan clearly suffered real childhood psychological trauma and dismissing it as stupid isn’t a great way to change his mind.

@Cloak1972 True, maybe a better approach would be to point out that a gator is a predator and will always see others as prey, but that isn't the only thing it is.

Watch the part back where chris says he'd rather handle an alligator and I swear the chilled out guy looks at the camera and smiles😂
😂
A very very interesting video as it clearly shows the trust Chris has with Big Mac and it's like Big Mac wanted to be in on the show
sucks that florida would rather focus their efforts on other things (like fighting against books and textbooks)
Bojangels loved the video thank you for being so informative ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you for this explanation. so helpful
Glad it was helpful!
And what kind of life would they have in a house or apartment???
*** EDIT ***
I spoke too soon. You covered it. I fully agree!
Chris is completely right about more rules
Bojangles loved it!
Big Mac creepin, I could watch for hours.
😂
It doesn't matter how much money anyone may have. TRUE animal lovers understand the responsibilities of pet ownership and the cruel suffering of too many domestic as well as wild animals because of irresponsible people should be a serious factor in outlawing backyard/basement whatever " habitats" for wild animals.
I think the word "burden" is appropriate. You love those animals, but they are a financial & emotional burden. They are a time-consuming burden, etc.
Yeah, I don't think you gotta love one but just respect🐊👍🏼. Looks cool but i wouldn't want one I couldn't afford to feel it & lots of maintenance.
Excellent episode. ‘That would be an hour in its own.’ Just created a new series for yourself there, that would be great. On a side note, bojangles.
Bojangles
Watched from start to finish.
Great video Chris and Gabby!! Very informative… I think Big Mack liked it too!! BoJangles!
Thanks so much!
Question when it comes to Gaston, since you have gotten some of the foreign matter out also you guys have done x-rays, scans, giving him medicine do you think that the foreign matter that was inside damage his colon and intestines and that's why he is still bloated or did another alligator puncture an organ
It’s definitely caused by the foreign material
My problem is when they hit 4 feet most people don't have the money to purchase the land to get the next permit so now they have to find a sanctuary for the animal to live out the next 50 years of their lives
Bojangles or Bojingles? Either way, i just watched to the end, love all the animals there at the sanctuary, especially Poppy and Daisy 🥰
Bo Jingles
I like watching to the end and have been watching Chris since he was doing tours with Casper and feeding Aries the Crocodile. Always educational and always cool to see the animals, though I will admit to skipping the pig feeding sometimes.
Wow very informative. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
Bojangles - great educational video folks,
Count me in with the Bojangles for Gade
Bojangles. Enjoyed the class. Love learning about gators & crocs
That is so sketchy sitting next to him❤❤
Normal for me 😂
That’s some amazing trust! Or shall I say knowledge and understanding of behaviour.
Bojangles. Y’all are amazing !!
If you like my shirt, you can get your own here!!

the next step for you guys is to learn human behaviour to the same level you know aligator n other animal behaviour. I specialise in human behaviour and would love to share this info for free. it would improve everything you're doing. Peace
I wish this video goes viral..
U two have only spoken opinions and facts the entire time u do the best u can and put in so much time effort hard work ontop of love keep it up
Appreciate that!
