I love how your black racer is staying resident, I like to think they appreciate you not disturbing them or their home, please keep showing your natural habitat native snakes when you get chance to capture them on film.
Have you guys thought about an "adopt an animal" program, I have seen zoo's do this for fundraising. Perhaps for a monthly fee or some kind of fee, those folks get extra info, updates, video's or photos of the animal they have adopted.
Yeah. I’ve seen it with other wildlife sanctuary/rehab facilities I support. They have different “adoption” levels/sponsorship levels. The funds go to support the animals by helping pay for food/medical. Many also give a story card with the animal’s story and species info., in addition to photos and updates. Some adoptions/sponsorships are paid annually, some are monthly through Paypal (etc). Whoever is managing the program can set things up for updates every 6 months or so and they can use either existing software or a spreadsheet to collect the update info for each adopted/sponsored animal which can then populate a form letter/email on Word or some other word processing software. The goal is to automate the communications as much as possible, to allow the communications on beyond an initial update to be realistically more manageable. I’ve also had the communications fall apart so I’d get one or two and then crickets, which kind of negates the whole “sponsor this animal and we’ll send you regular updates on your sponsored animal” agreement.
I don't think they have enough time or staff to do this but it sounds like an excellent idea for the future. Maybe they'll have an admin volunteer at some point who could carry this out.
24:52 i just love your videos and social media posts. I’ve learned so much. I hope one day your sanctuary is open to volunteers and /or the public. You are so giving to dedicate your time and life to these creatures who are here though no fault of their own. You really do give so much of yourselves. Thank you 🙏🏻
So, I left the room for just a second and you had started the chat about the Owls, and I was Struck by how much you looked like a Camp Counselor telling a Campfire Story. Awesome!!
Everytime you show the girl emus I’m thinking „God, they have gotten so big!“ 😄, because I remember them following you around just a few months ago ago and fitting in two hands. It’s so cool that we get to see them grow up and live a wonderful life in your beautiful sanctuary 😊! Thanks for the vlogs! They are definitely a highlight in my day.
Thank you guys for everything!! I always get to see and comment on your videos late and by that time you have so many comments already. I know you have too much to do and too little time so I hope this time you see my comment :D I'm so happy I stumbled at your channel a few months ago, just as you started the rescue. and I am amazed how much you achieved in so little time! So heart warming to see how you care so much for each animal and both of you know so much and do so much. I just want to say, as a tiny rescuer for many years, that you two are absolutely living my dream (although I know how hard it is!!) and I admire your work. I can write without end so I will stop myself here and hope you guys feel my support. And to end with something I might help with, not important but information is something.. Fennec foxes live throughout the Sahara, not sub-Sahara. I just want to pay you back for all the knowledge you give out to us for free :) :P Thank you for another great video of everything you do for the animals and for teaching the world how to be better! ♥
Thank you Gabby and Chris for all the wonderful education you give to us and the love and care you give to the animals. I love how open and honest and humble you guys are, and how amazing too. I can see how passionate you are for the animals. I am usually a lurker 🤭 but I came out of hiding to wish you both a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄🎊 Looking forward to what the future brings to Bellowing Acres!
Dino love you buddy, the ponds look amazing by the way, the prairie dogs can not be that stinking adorable😂❤ I keep having to remind myself that wild animals do not make good pets but it is so hard lol I hope you and gabby have an amazing day
Hi Chris, you and Gabby have such a fantastic Sanctuary. Love all of the animals, and reptiles. Your videos always make my day. Love little Wilbur. Cindy
It's so amazing how far Dino and the others have come. I am so glad they have Bellowing Acres to keep them healthy and happy! I can't believe how big Echo & Summer have gotten! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The wildlife abounds around your rescues in breathtaking beauty. So peaceful and lovely. I think That beautiful Razorback wild snake🐍 that lives in the cool underbrush near Kalusa the FL Owl 🦉just wants to be part of the place. He has seen how you care for the owl and wants in on the action. Blessings!!
I love owls! I saw a great horned owl one evening sitting in my neighbors driveway. At first I thought it was a log but as I walked closer I saw it was an owl. I tried to get closer but then it spread it's wings and silently flew off. Amazing! I hope you do get some great horned owls!
I wish I had lots of money to send you. I do give to the Humane Society for Animals. I really love what you do to educate the public about these precious animals.
Raptors. Owls are beautiful. We had a barn owl that visited our neighborhood years ago. The huge white owl. I love the saw whet owls. Years ago you could hear owls in the woods late in the evening. All have moved on, migrated elsewhere, or for that matter become absent.
I always enjoy watching your Vlogs. I always comment here and your other platforms. It is comforting to me to know that helps you, Gabby and the animals. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Looking at the water in Dino and Matcha's pond is so satisfying 😄 I love watching your videos and learning about so many animals, I've probably watched every video on this channel, so it's nice to know that it is also beneficial to you guys 😊
I just commented asking where she was. She must have dipped and hid in the woods. Lol. I can't wait until she is friendly and comes up with Dino for food.
Thanks alot for taking time to share information about these animals and how difficult it is to get these permits! Thank you both so much for all you do for these animals and Kalusa looks so cute!❤️🦉 I wonder if the black razor snake is a prey for the wild barred owl's?🤔
Great Horned Owl?!!! One of my most favorite birds! It would be so awesome to see you guys with one! Question, does the federal permit you hold also allow you to keep Eagles? Or are there different permits for different types of raptors? And thank you, by the way, for all the info you share!
@GatorChris_ interesting! Appreciate the answer. It is pretty amazing the amount of work that goes into a sanctuary...permits alone, not to mention the care of the animals
The funny thing is that Pebbels is a male, and I asked Amanda from useless farm the other day that what is up with Karen and why is she doing it, is it protective or territorial ect. She said that it's becase she is a female and they tend to be more agressive, and males are usually the calm and gentle ones. Lol and you got 2 females, in few years when they'll get mature, the tables might turn lol.
Hi Chris, Does the noise from the pump system affect the alligators if you have it on all the time? I do not know how much a gator would be affected by reasonably constant backround noise?
Have you considered raising your own quail/chickens as a food source for your carnivorous animals? I know its not easy, but I see a lot of reptile keepers branch into it in order to become more self-sufficient and presumably save on some food costs.
I have a question. I know you both are already SO busy and all this but why don't you breed mice (for the owls) would probably be cheaper, no? And breed worms so chunk skunk can always have. Just curious.
I would like to make a suggestion regarding the feeding of the possible addition of owls coming in. My suggestion is raising your own quail, mice and rats. Another suggestion would be reach out to urban rescue, this young man has a great setup for these amazing birds and he may be able to guide you on this too.
Idk if he would want to do what needed to be done by doing that. He hates hurting animals, and even though it is what the animals eat in nature, I don't think I could do it either. Lol. Its like even though you know it happens, it is still a little easier to buy from places that do it there and freeze them. I agree with your comment, though. Having your own food supply helps so much in the long run. You don't realize how much money you spend a year just on food until you actually look at it all together. Then your mind gets blown, lol. Urban Rescue is a good one. I need to go check out the animals bc I haven't seen any videos in a while. Ty for reminding me. Another is Chandler, he has a bunch of crocs and snakes, plus an owl. He goes through tons of rats, pinkies, and quails. He may have some ideas to help out as well.

I had a cone full of feed and the only one in there with food. ThT huge llama came running and was the rudest bully in the petting zoo but once he had me up against the fence back turned holding the cone of out of his reach. He was actually up on me then the emu came from the side pecking at my arm, Pygmy goats all around my legs the goose was just walking behind me honking away with wings raised. My date was too busy laughing and taking pictures with his automatic camera. I was laughing but also screaming my rare but loud girly-girl scream. This was in 1980 so no video. But lots of pictures … he was a photographer for the raiders so he got good pictures on his good camera and fun pictures with his automatic camera

Clover and Ocala look so sweet. And I'm ignoring why they were there. 😂
Damn, that first shot of Dino, he´s huge!!! like Dinosaur level huge, amazing!

Great Alligator 🐊 content!
Love the videos
Good videos
Thanks!
That look Pebbles gave says "and I'll do it again!"
😂
I thoroughly enjoy your videos ❤
Dino looks so good!!!! How is Gaston doing with his bloating?
Unfortunately Gaston is still bloated.
Thanks alot for taking time to share information about these animals and how difficult it is to get these permits! Thank you both so much for all you do for these animals and Kalusa looks so cute!❤️🦉 I wonder if the black razor snake is a prey for the wild barred owl's?🤔
The snake would be but the owls usually are nocturnal and racers diurnal, but if their paths cross yes
amazing

Do you do Cameos with animals besides the gators? Would love to have one with Petunia. She's such a doll. ❤
What do you think the gators would do if there was a robotic pool vacuum cleaning their ponds? Ignore it or destroy it? Just curious. 😂
Hi Chris,
Does the noise from the pump system affect the alligators if you have it on all the time? I do not know how much a gator would be affected by reasonably constant backround noise?
that thumbnail scared me, I was afraid Gaston had burst!
❤❤❤
Has Dino gained some weight? Looks like all that feeding is working.
❤️
Will there be a Christmas event for the animals like the pumpkins in Halloween?🎅
Have you considered raising your own quail/chickens as a food source for your carnivorous animals? I know its not easy, but I see a lot of reptile keepers branch into it in order to become more self-sufficient and presumably save on some food costs.
How much does Julie weigh? She is so huge compared to Daisy and Patunia!❤
I know gators aren't sweet and gentle but Dino kind of is. ❤️🐊
You should stack some rocks and make a little island on the turtle bum.
I wonder if the crocks and gators think we can't see them when they submerge in the clear water :)
Probably 😂
Raptors would be cool
Wild boars are a problem in Sweden too!
Goats produce 10 grams of Vitamin D every day.
Did you guys put another gator in with Dino?
Yes a female a month or so ago
I was jumped by a llama, emu, goats and a goose once at the Oakland zoo while on a date. It was in their petting zoo … they use to sell ice cream cones full of rabbit feed pellets, and my date and I were the first in there that day. I had a cone full of feed and the only one in there with food. ThT huge llama came running and was the rudest bully in the petting zoo but once he had me up against the fence back turned holding the cone of out of his reach.
Why not set up mouse traps or catch cages . Maybe help with some of the cost?
It's dangerous. I'm assuming Chris and Gabby don't poison them, but they can get pretty far after eating poison, and if they feed the poisoned animals to theirs, they'll also get sick. Plus while I don't know if it can transfer to raptors, I've always heard to not catch wild feeders for my reptiles because of the risk of transmitting disease/parasites, which captive bred animals won't have if they come from a reputable dealer.
Rodent Pro has great prices!
How do they know if you do it
Chris or Gabby what’s your favorite animal
We refer to Hazel as Crazel 😂
