Oh they look really beautiful but I really love Bailian purple colored eyes
I really prefer the CBT 1 bailan with the shorts. We have yet to see the new model though
I love the changes, they still have their original design, they just improved it now

While I definitely love the new lighting and environment changes, part of me does still miss the dark and grey parts from the original build of the game. Was a huge fan of that color scheme, as it made the game lean more towards its Death Stranding-like inspirations, but of course it was the right choice to add more color. Hopefully they can add a color filter for the environment like how Tower of Fantasy did it.
Overall, I like all of the tweaks to all the designs. YangYang still looks great, and I feel like Bailian’s tweaks were inspired by Hanying’s design in PGR lol.
And I’m surprised you didn’t mention how Scar has Roland’s Tarzan swinging attack. And lol I didn’t even notice the Velcro strap on top of his crotch. Guess the man’s got his priorities straight?
Super excited for the game! Now if only I had enough storage on my phone…
Everything looks like an improvement, but I'm going to miss Bailian's purple eyes.
They gave her an enchanting look, here's hoping the new model sells me on it.

Honestly this is why I love the consistent updates to improve the looks. As a person who works in animation production we always have a saying "nothing is final until the moment it premieres". Much more so in gaming for obvious reasons
I appreciate the attention to detail by the art dept.(or Kuro in general)And I hope this continues.
PS: They can just have safety shorts with the skirt. As a Vera main I did notice... Vera does have one since she flips with her basic attacks.
Bailian looks a lot less like an NPC you'd run into and more like an established character, big ups on that. Yangyang's bandages were out of place and didn't look modeled on well in-game, so I think she's also an upgrade in my eyes despite what some people have said that the bandages made her look less generic (an idea which I don't really agree with).
How bandage is anything unique lol

Her new design is, in fact, better because:
1/ She has a bigger black piece of clothing that still does a good job at covering her chest but looks way more subtle and elegant.
2/ Unlike the sarashi, the black clothing DOESNT bring attention to her chest and actually look like a part of her clothing.
You should really do a video about cast of characters in games- all the way from character design to how characters interact with each in both PGR and now WW.

I'm so glad they added the "crazy smile" to character(s) just like in PGR with Vera and XXI; it gives so much personality to a character!

Kuro games really love their favorite VA Ishikawa Yui and she's Yang Yang in JP.
I'm really liking the redesigns so far, it emphasizes their femininity without it being too overly sexualized IMO. One thing I would like to see some changes though is the dodge animation wherein instead of all characters doing a flip, I would prefer if some do a backstep, sidestep like in PGR.

They nerfed Yangyang's assets only to buff them up a bit again 😅
I personally like the skirt on Bailan. She looks more elegant, but she lost some of the outdoor-sy type feel in exchange.
I mean they could have just still use the darker environments, like an option that users can toggle.

I kinda liked the dark tones the environment had before, not entirely sure why everyone wanted it to be super colourful... but it does look like at least some places will retain the darker atmosphere, so that's good in my book! I'll have to see it for myself first to have my final verdict on it

Bruh, I actually really liked Bailian's previous design so I'm a little sad. This new one looks good too but I gotta wait to see how the model looks in-game.
I personally didn't like the shorts so I like that it's a dress now. I liked her purple eyes and green hair tho but I personally think her redesign is overall much more appealing

this game will take forever to come out. If they're going to go and make major changes based on beta, it is far from release. Beta is when things are locked down, and you are in the polishing and bug fixing phase.
Yep, it will take a long time. At least one year? It seems kuro has no idea what it is going to be, and one of their bosses freaks out during the beta negative feedback. They fired 100 employees in the end.

Yangyang looks way better without the bandage/sarashi imo. The sarashi doesn't suit her character's personality compared to Chixia for example.
And also, despite people arguing that the sarashi is less fan servicey, it ironically puts a lot of attention to her chest. Her new design with a bigger black piece of cloth does a better job at covering her chest while being both subtle and elegant looking, which suits her character better
Bailian's new design looks great. While people mourn the loss of green in her hair, I've always find that color weird for hair. Moreover, having gradient color hair style that goes from green to black is more interesting to look at imo. Another idea I have for Bailian's new design is giving her a trench coat or something similar to make her occupation as an archeologist more noticable.

I'm glad about the changes, character design and color palette was some of the weakest parts of the game. Personally, I don't care if their clothes or proportions are realistic whether it's a guy or girl, but everything I saw was an improvement. I also don't think skimpy outfits is a problem. Give me an impossibly buff dude without a shirt and tattoos and omega hot girls with impossible proportions. I don't want to play a character who looks like me, I play games to escape reality and experience something that goes beyond what I can experience in real life.
They didn't retain the post-apocalyptic feel at all. Now it just looks like Liyue but everywhere.
