Thank you for the good impression about metro manila and for promoting the city.I was a seaman and i've been to different cities around the world and manila as a whole is a nice city. But sadly some people gave metro manila a bad reputation, maybe its because some tourist only stay in a cheapy hotel with a very bad sorroundings.
Omg!! I still can't believe I got to meet you guys!!! Thank you so much for shouting me out, it's the greatest christmas gift I received 😭😭😭 I hope you don't mind my cracked voice, damn sickness 😭😭 love u guys!!! Xx
What I love about your content is you know you can't please everybody. That level of honesty is what made me subscribe to you in the first place, you know how to make it a good critic rather than making it sound like a negative criticism. I am Filipino and being far a way from the Philippines, I love watching videos that promote the country, but I also appreciate vloggers who actually understand the viewers and not just say things that aren't entirely true just to lure subs.
My mom made Filipino homemade hot chocolate drink when we were growing up since we had our own cacao trees. Missing those years. Happy New Year guys, enjoy and post more of your travels.
Happy New year Mike and Nelly! It was so great to meet you in person! Thank you so much for shouting out my daughter's channel @vxronia. Loved your travel videos and hope to bump into you again 😊
Wow explore well as u can guy's. just having fun..n u still happy also...that's most important things u have a good memorable moments to experience to visit n my beautiful country.
Regarding "overwhelming", i feel for you. I can understand where you're coming from. The feeling is mutual, actually. People coming from large cities like Manila and New York feels "underwhelm" when going to smaller cities as it gives us the feeling of sadness, boring, "ghost town", too quiet, etc. During my first overseas trip and which happens to be in Europe, i was in a small city and have given me this feeling which triggered me to cry and wanted to go back home. However, the same as you, I opened my mind since that is my "first time". Ever since, I have travelled and has embraced each and every culture. It was an enjoyment.
Have you been visit cebu, davao , cagayan de oro.. most beautiful beaches that phils could offer enjoy and have a relax palawan, dakak, boracay .. thank you so much for making this video saying how wonderful phils it is..
Thanks for this video and for featuring my home city... I miss it terribly. It has changed over the years but childhood spent in this city especially around Ayala Avenue, Barangay Bel-Air and Rockwell is so priceless especially at Christmas... I wonder if the spirit of Christmas in Makati is still the same...
Check out "The Terraces" at One Bonifacio High Street Mall, across Shangrila Hotel, The Fort BGC. Go up to the 3rd floor, and look for the terrace beside Chateau 1771 restaurant. Bet you would say "wow" once you see the BGC skyline.
You two are legit. Been a loyal subscriber for a while now and your vlogs always impress. Why? You stay true to yourselves, each other, and you see things with an open mind and see things in context. You are never overly opinionated, whereas other Western vloggers rant and complain. We get good vibes from your vlogs. More power to you both. Thank you! Happy Chinese New Year (新年快樂) in advance! Love from Taipei, Taiwan!! 🇵🇭🇹🇼💝💕
yeah, but hongkong is just insane. I still can't imganine how those skyscrapers in hongkong were built in just a short span of time. I mean not like New York, they already built it since the world war one. If I'm correct.
Just landed back in US & I’m already trying to make reservations for December, but it’s too far out for most airlines. We loved it everywhere in PI, from the province where I grew up to the posh areas of BGC & Makati.
Its really crazy yes how cool philippines cause peoples are so nice they subscribes to all the bloggers they supports all bloggers what more else you like in philippines to compares thae land I mean Thailand dont like thae land live so must philippines
Makati City, Taguig City - BGC-(Bonifacio Global City) , Pasig City, Pasay City, Mandaluyong City are the face of a Prosperous Philippines, that cities are part of Metro Manila Philippines its composed of 16 modern cities.amazing Cities!
Hot chocolate or tsokolate is made from roasted cacao seeds mixed with a bit of brown sugar and molded by hand or a molding spoon. It can be served by putting it in hot water and just allow it to dissolve but a better way of making it is by dissolving it in a pot with hot water below boiling point and mixed with coconut cream. Watch out coz it's burning hot but it won't have that steam.. Love watching your vlogs guys! Goodluck and I'm rooting for you 100k subscribers and more soon!
Thank you for your balanced assessment of Manila. As a Filipino myself and having lived in Metro Manila almost 2 decades before being based abroad, there are a lot of things i HATE about Manila and i think you have experienced that already. But then there is the other side of Manila that you will love. So, it is something that will grow on you. It just gets a bad rep from foreign news outlets and its tendency to highlight poverty which i and many Filipinos call "poverty porn". Poverty is prevalent around Asia not just the Philippines.
The hot chocolate is called Tablea Tsokolate a popular delicacy in Batangas. Its called tablea because the cocoa is packed into tablets. Traditionally served in breakfast. Tablea is quite thick and creamy because of the high content of cocoa butter. Its great along with sinangag na pinipg (toasted pinipig), and used to flavor champorado.
On your way to Manila, don't forget to visit Subic Bay in Zambales. I sent Nelly a link about Subic. Also, visit the culinary capital of the Philippines located in Pampanga. The link was sent to Nelly Instagram. For directions, check out Google map or Waze app. Relax and take it easy guys. Enjoy your adventure.
Hi you should visit the entertainment city near moa, like solaire resorts they have sky dinning, okada manila and city of dreams just in one vicinity near moa. Enjoy then go to tagaytay you won't be disappointed.
That chocolate drink is "Tableya" - You should go to Alfonso and Indang Cavite - near Tagaytay City. Also, in Silang Cavite, they make a Tableya cakes.
Big cities are really overwhelming indeed... staying there In manila for 13 years I had enough,I miss it though sometimes but I can't stay there anymore ... I love the province more
I' m from Caraga region, ,PH. I may say with confident that the must see, visit & waiting to be explored at said region are the likes of Siargao includes islets/ little islands hoping?, Britanica, Enchanted River, Mapaso Hot Springs, and a lot more wonderful waterfalls of Surigao&Agusan, also Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro. Glad to note that Caraga PHL and Davao City is excluded in the recent list by the U.S.A. travel advisory (Restrictions) Camiguing Island is also part of Caraga Region, Northern Mindanao. He he you've been there & Siargao, hitting your 1st 50k was also memorable for us. I do share, very positive that you gonna gain more subscribers. Expect more supports, just contnue with your worthy passion. Always take care, stay healthy & expect more good blessings. You're always welcome in PH, enjoy your stay.
Enjoy the view in Manila guys .. If you have enough time and heading to North try to visit my place in Vigan and Ilocos Norte. There you can see the scenic places in Vigan , Bangui Windmills, Hannahs Beach resort (known as the Boracay of the North) and there they have also the Longest Zipline in Asia . Hope to see you there .. take care.
Mike, that chocolate pudding you and Nellie were drinking, I think it’s called champurrado Filipino-style. I am Filipino but I got the same in Mexico. There are some variations among Spanish countries but the concept is the same.
I hope you get invited to stay in one of the premier suites of the Manila Hotel. Now that's old world opulence, the likes of which you won't find anywhere else in Asia. ❤️
Again, the food!!! Miss the hot cocoa (Tablea) paired with hot pan de sal and jamon. It's a Christmas treat from childhood. Nostalgia! Thank you Mike & Nellie. The Christmas season ain't over yet until the 3rd Sunday, when we celebrate the feast of Santo Nino (Holy Child Jesus).
I suggest that you should put the cost in everything that you futured guys... thank u so much for promoting philippines... more power and godbless you..❤❤❤
Love this kind of videos! It’s like discovering spot not known for the local masses but can come in handy in case i want to impress or if i want to do something special.. I know my options in that particular place.. thank you! And maybe I want to say that most of this place are not known to local masses unless become super popular or spread a lot by words/recommendations by people we know and tried it.. since most local masses don’t like to try new things specially if it looks not very cheap.. mostly want to spent that kind of much money on they knew that others really really recommend it
