- I've had my John Deere S110 Lawn Tractor for 6 weeks now. Mowed the yard 4 or 5 times. Figured it was time for a proper Review of the S110 Lawn Tractor! I talk about it a bit, give some of the differences in the S1xx lineup. I share my thoughts and opinions on it as a new owner, and a couple Pros and Cons. Then I do a walk around of the tractor, lift the hood, point out all the components one needs to know about. I demonstrate a few of the things you'll use on the tractor while mowing.
Yes, the tractor is dirty from mowing. And yes, my Flowing Mane of Lockdown Hair is simply the most beautiful thing you have ever witnessed!

Thanks for providing a very relevant and thorough "walk-around"! Good job was staying on point without excessive banter and loud music!😊
Just bought me one, in Finley, NSW, Australia. Have a standard yard, so back to riding around and mowing my yard stoned. 🙃
Thanks for the review.. I just bought one of these.. But then I headed out of town so was trying to remember how to see what the gas level was at.. My older cub cadet you could see the gas in the tank.. Anyway.. Mine is brand new and I mowed only once.. Looking forward to driving this thing for many years I hope!
Hope you enjoy it!
Great review and great mower. I bought the bumper. It looks good and it makes me worry less about bumping the hood into trees. I have some narrow parts to navigate in my yard. I can’t find the accessories cover.
hey mate nice vid from australia, just a tip on either side with the oil filter and the oil drain outlet both the black cowling peices actually flip up that should be enough clearance to work on either side, cheers
Thanks for the tip! I checked on mine, and yeah, looks like maybe loosen a bolt and then there's a couple tabs or clips, and those should swing right up!
Thanks ,Great Review
Great review.
It's quite easy to disengage the engine stop under the seat so engine runs when you get off. Full size agri and construction machines don't stop when you get off, maybe lawn tractors as driven more by amateur operators and have to be kept safe. Just my humble comments.
Yeah, but this is the internet. I'm not about to tell people how to disable a safety device....
Disappointed to see that shroud covering the oil port. I've had many D and E110 which were easy to access.
They're actually only held on by one bolt. Theres a tab that you release and the shroud rotates up out of your way.
I’m looking at buying this model mower (a 2021) with 43 hours on it. Three years in, how do you feel about the purchase?
Mine has ticked over about 32 hours. Still loving it! Not a single problem yet. This fall I will probably treat it to a trip back to the dealer for them to look it over, give it a tune up, adjust and sharpen the blades etc.
Thank you.
Also, do you have any advice now that you’ve had it for a year. Has anything gone wrong?
So far no issues. Starts right up, still mowing great. This fall/winter I'll probably take it to the dealer and have them give it a once over to see if anything has worked loose. I did run over a few things on accident, so wouldn't mind having the blades and deck checked out by a pro.
My typical mowing is 4 hours every 5-7 days it takes around 3-4 gallons. From the build do you think it would hold up 15-20 years? My Husqvarna is on its last legs at 18 years old.
I'm hoping so! Your requirements are about 4x what mine are, in both time and gas.
I'd say that's on the edge of being to hard on this model.
We buy this as the X107 in Europe. How do you wash yours, I'm too afraid to use water as I don't want it to rust, but it gets really dirty especially with wet grass early in the morning.?
I just hand wash it, mainly to keep water out of the electrics and gauges. The deck washout via garden hose works well. Over the winter I'll lift it up on jack stands to get under there and clean it all well.
A quick hose down isnt to bad on it,but if you can you should use air to blow off the top of the mowing deck. You can use a leaf blower or compressor to blow off the loose stuff. The washout port does ok under the deck, but certainly can cause rust with alot of use.
Can you make a video on how to start this?
Push throttle all the way forward, turn key. If cold, might have to hold the throttle full forward for the Choke till it warms up a bit.
Engage parking brake, disengage blade, set mid-throttle, and turn key.
Too much unnecessary info.
