Wrestling was amazing during the 1970s/1980s/1990s/2000s and has declined 2010s/2020s but has been better as of late I’m from NY I watch all wrestling promotions around the world I’ve seen all from 1980-Now I’ve been to many Supercards/PPVs what a life of wrestling throughout the decades
I agree, brother. I am 42 years old (born in 1982) and wrestling was definitely better in those decades you mentioned (I wasn’t around during the 1970’s but i have always enjoyed old footage and matches from that era). As a kid in the 80’s, the Golden Era of the 80’s and New Generation era of the mid 90’s will always have a special place in my heart. Then as the WWF grew up in the late 90’s into the Attitude Era, I was growing up as a teen right along. Unfortunately I stopped watching around 2006 as wrestling had become a bit stale after Vince purchased WCW and WWF became the only game in town. I started watching again around 2019 due to a new company (AEW) but WWE still didn’t give me the feelings of yesteryear. However for the past year or so, WWE has been on fire due to the regime change. AEW is still a fairly young company so it still has ways to go. When they get it right (their pay-per-views for example) its really good. But when they get it wrong (mainly their booking), it can be pretty awful.
They should just let survivor series be the traditional survivor series again. PLEs are kind of a throwaway now anyway. You're either subscribed or you're not. It's not like selling pay per views where you have to have high stakes at every event
Excellent point. And most of the PLE’s are all the same format aside from maybe 3 or 4. Why not make survivor series all traditional again. It would be something different.
That heel lineup is just amazing. When you have to ask yourself "who is the WIMPIEST guy here... Rick Rude or Butch Reed?" then you know you've got five guys so badass that you could walk right through the Purge and be just fine as long as these dudes surround you. No wonder the heels actually won a match CLEANLY against Hogan...

Why was Ken Patera a babyface at this point in his career? He literally just got out of prison for beating up a cop AND busting up a McDonald's. They should've made him a mega heel and used his past to give him legitimacy.
