I could sit here and listen to Anton elaborate on his thoughts opinions and facts, for hours. Great interview!! Finally!!! a fan asking the questions. Although when Anton took your Negative upheaval to a new topic and took it the opposite way you meant it to be taken....I would have been getting anxious. You handled it very smoothly. Good stuff man. Post number 2!!
+In It To Spin It I can only add to the positive feedback by stating that the raw footage vibe works. From a viewer' standpoint the interview has an ambience of honesty bearing both the good and bad that resides in us all, it is no longer in a third person setting but draws the audience into it. Racial slurs, I think not +anton newcombe it was a inherent response and totally acceptable, I agree with Anton about the bad taste and how it reflected on theRUclips'r posting rather than the party in question but please don't take it to the next level (venting your frustration on Y T. Van' foot bla bla bla) enjoyed it, thanx
I don't know how it's possible, but his music seems to get better & better as he ages. "Revelation" actually became my favorite BJM record, and i was deep into all of the earlier albums. I see them every time they come to Boston, and they were absolutely on point last month at the Paradise. The first time i saw them was in 2005 at TT's in Cambridge, right around the time of Dig! A very different show than what i saw in May, but also absolutely amazing.
Gotta say I agree with the continuing to get better sentiment. The run he's been on with Sgt. Pepper, Aufheben and Revelation is just amazing. Thanks for viewing!
Completely agree. I was a bit nervous for you at the beginning of the interview, because i wasn't sure how Anton might react, but it settled into a really cool conversation..
Damn, the early days are my favourite and Im so intrigued by that lineup and output of music... I love the cocteu and post punk vibes they used to use in their language. I was so excited when you started with that, but Anton always seems like he never wants to talk about that period...
Yeah, Anton is gonna talk about what Anton feels like talking about. But yes, what an incredibly magical time for the band and that legendary output hey? Thanks for watching!!
It's shitty that people probably fuck with Anton while he's playing live in the hopes that some kind of spectacle will follow. He's a hell of a musician.
yeah i know, i know, it was a combo of pure excitement and trying to guide the interview to keep moving....Glad you liked it.....I'm no pro, I did my best, happy with it myself.
Thanks for replying - I didn't expect that!!! You're asking good questions - I think you did alright Listening is very difficult if your exited to meet someone who is genuinely a one off - congrats on an insightful interview …
I'm a millennial and I care. I'm watching this right? oh yeah, I'm pretty sure BJMs first "release" is what is now known as Pol Pots Pleasure Penthouse .
good job on the interview man, i'd imagine it would be quite intimidating interviewing anton

Anton is the most pretentious guy ever but he's totally allowed to be 😩😩😩💯

7:20 he's dead on with this
YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN?!
he keeps cutting Anton off - but it's a good interview anyway

those were cassettes hand made and distributed by members. I stand by She Made Me as the first official.
+In It To Spin It what other tracks were on that record?
it's a single. She Made Me is the A-Side and the B-side is Evergreen. Oddly enough the first track is titled She Moves Me on the actual record label
+In It To Spin It nice. I just saw BJM in San Diego, that's where I'm from, it was the best show, I smoked a cigarette with Ricky
LOL
