i remember camping and watching these guys running up and down the beaches at 5:00 in the morning while i was inside a motor home drinking hot chocolate, that was the first time i had seen someone in the military training, i look up to these guys and always will

@@Mordalo hell week is conducted on coronado island on the military section side of the beach, because of this there are parts you cannot see but there are evolutions that are held where the public can watch.

The problem with civilians is that they think at every stage someone is an actual seal. These are recruits trying out to be seals. Half of the people in this video probably dropped out of selection.
Yep. This is just a selection process and must go through 3 phases for 6 months. Maybe 21 0r 28 may graduate then off they go to SQT(Seals Qualification Training). They don't become Seals until they received their Trident

In fact, I heard a SEAL say recently that the BUD/s pipeline is crazy now. Even guys who have signed contracts are having to wait in long lines to get in because there's just too many people wanting to go to BUD/s. All the media attention in the past couple decades has really increased interest.
Thank God there's no fights re: UK vs US. I'm a Brit and proud to be enlisting in the Royal Marines Reserve right now, hopefully regulars after I finish college (16-18 college, i.e. senior high in the US). However, full respect to USMC, SEALs, Rangers, SF, "Tier-1" units, USAF PJs, etc etc. Thank God we're all allies! I admit that the banter/jokes can run between units, i.e. UK RM do almost 3x the length of basic training than USMC, but the 12-year-old CoD fights need to stop!
Yea, Me, in preparation for Enlisting into the Military I've been doing Marine Corp Workouts at the recruiting office. I've done nearly every sport in High School and it pales in comparison to actual Military workouts (And that's just casual Pre-Boot Camp Workouts. I can't imagine the real one or even something as insane as BUDS).
Its so funny how the candidates are going through hell while civilians are standing there in shorts and a hat watching them....bet the trainees are like "fuck i wish i was those ppl" lol.
I'm just curious, don't they train at their own military beach? I'm sure Naval Base Coronado has a beach too right? But it's still cool to train infromt of civilians.
They are building an area that will be restricted from the civilians. But this video is from a long time ago and I’m sure it’s part of the psychological mucking to make these guys do all this in front of civilians. It probably encourages even more guys to drop out because they get distracted or embarrassed.

I try to replicate what these guys do. If they start training at 5 I make sure I start training at 4. If they do 100 push ups I make sure I do 150
