Good to see you and Pratyay talking about elbow problems and how to fix them. The elbow is an important pivot point in swinging the Gada, Jori, Meels and Indian Clubs. Plus a multitude of sports and daily uses. Finally, Foni is the absolute champion.
This exercise is worth more than money to anyone who lifts of swings heavy stuff. I have started doing this in-between sets of mace, steel clubs, mugdar and kettlebells. As it's important to keep moving in the rest I use the as light clubs with these exercises and the normal Indian club movements to keep that fluid going. Great for warm up, during and cool down.
Really it is very helpful video for everyone who swings The Jori , The Gada and do heavy exercise equipment. Because if you get pain in elbow, wrist and Shoulder- by doing these Indian clubs exercise swing, your pain will be no more after 5- 10 minute of Swinging this.
It's probably not Indian technique as he said, Indian Club is not Indian but british, so the movements made using that would be more varied and versatile sincd they are quite lighter. We got heavy Mudgars which have naturally limited variations and primarily for different purpose.

i have arthritis in my right elbow i swing heavy strengthen your muscles and make sure that you go from straight arm to full bent ,if you only go half way that is what gives you elbow pain .power relax- power relax full range of movement
We used do these moves and more during my school days in the later sixties and mid seventies in the far north east of India in a school run by the Irish Christian Brothers. Every one of my class mates were quite good at it. I wonder whether they still do those drills these days.
3 years later, just the video I need Felt the stretch and burn closer to my wrists than my elbows but it’s not unusual or strange to have a problem in a joint be caused by the joint above or below it. Especially since I got this current elbow pain after a particularly tough push-up sets to failure so it makes sense that it was flexors/extensors related rather than a pronation/supination issue The first move works in 360 so it feels like it can address a bunch of issues in the forearm. Lots of problems like tennis or golfers-elbows come from pronation problems. There are 2 ways of pronation 1) center of rotation is around the pinky 2) center of rotation is around the index finger. Usually problems start with the latter. Where the Ulna isn’t moving enough to abduction while pronating (so a lack of valgus in the ulna-humerus joint). This is a great exercise to stimulate the abduction mobility of the ulna while pronating which results in less strain in muscles and ligaments when lifting heavier cause the elbows function is restored.
Will these help me with wrist pain?? After i swing 8kg gada , esp ones with thickers grips , i get pain in the area between the thumb and index finger and some wrist pain too,,,
I had elbow issues when using heavy clubs and the mace. The remedy for me, was doing a series of kettlebell press', before my swinging work. I never experience elbow discomfort, as long as I do the press' beforehand..
