Making a gold bar from scratch

Hello, in this video I make a gold bar(my first ever) from scratch, meaning I took a gold ore and smelted, melted, molded, sanded & polished it into the gold bar. It was an honour to be able to make this beautiful gold rush era Canadian gold bar! One can’t fully appreciate it until you feel the weight in your hand! from scratch? so perhaps just some eggs and yeast, stir until well mixed and the bake in the oven until done?

I've never seen anyone use a mold as a crucible before. Are you doing it this way because you're processing the gold inside, and don't want to pour molten metal indoors?

I use a fire clay crucible for smelting, the molding is in a graphite mold

I'm not a smart man but the specimen is worth a hell of a lot more than that smelted stuff. Do you brother its just me having my opinion. If you and your friend are having fun thats what counts.
